Long Awaited..
Up until Shadowdancers mature into adults, they are without means of reproduction(Thus why they can go clothless if they must until adulthood!). Shadowdancers must be a minimum of a month old to breed. This is so I don't see people just breeding for the hell of it. A pregnancy of a shadowdancer lasts 7 months and it works similar to a human's pregnancy. However, I'm not cruel icon_wink.gif It will only take a week and a half-two weeks max after your request. This will give anyone time to roleplay the pregnancy with their mate or friends. This doesn't mean I want to see Cybering.. This is a pg-13 site, and just EW--So don't.
General Rules/Facts About Breeding:
1. Breeding is not a right. If you break a rule, you can be banned from breeding.
2. Be kind to anyone working in these forums. If you're rude, you might not get a spot at all.
3. There are two types of breeding, With Roleplay, and without roleplay. Without Roleplay will be a 'normal' price, and Roleplayers get a slight discount.
4. Breeding Spots are limited per colorist per month. This may change later, but its a lot of work.
5. A Breeded Shadowdancer consists of one stage less then a normal shadowdancer. There is no shadowstage. It goes infant-toddler-child-adult. Still four stages though wink
6. You're Still On Gaia, all Gaia Rules that you agreed to upon signing up, still apply here.
7. No one cares which features of the shadowdancers breeding you want to come out, its entirely up to the colorist, so don't bother anyone about it. How parents influence the child's looks is up to the colorist.
8. Make Sure to read additional rules for specific types of breeding(with roleplay/without roleplay).
9. Although I don't mind Gay Couples, there are no ways for them to produce children. Sorry :S Alternative options will be available soon.
10. Do NOT make new threads in this subforum. Breeding questions are to be directed into the Questions Thread, and breeding requests are to be put in their correct threads. This subforum is ONLY for the posts I make. Keeping it clean smile
11. If you arn't roleplaying, you can NOT change your mate. You're stuck with one mate. Some exceptions may apply, like if one parent goes inactive. At that point, we'll decide what happens, but not before. If your shadowdancer's mate goes inactive, make sure to let me know. However, if you are roleplaying, I understand that two characters sometimes grow apart. If you're switching mates, you just have to show me viable proof of how your previous mate and yourself split apart(If its because one player went inactive, just let me know) and then how your new mate got together.
12. As of right now, roleplay is not required for breeding. HOWEVER, if I see people are breeding mindlessly, I will be forced to make more strict rules. Especially since I'm running this shop all by myself right now.
13. Both Shadowdancers must be at least 6 weeks old. With the addition of the new -definite-growing period, this makes sense.
Breeding Generations is simiple, and this is how they will come out:
Generation 1 with 1= Generation 2
Generation 1 with 2= Generation 3
Generation 1 with 3= Generation 4
Generation 2 with 2 = Generation 3
Generation 2 with 3 = Generation 4
Generation 3 with 3 = Generation 4
So on and So Forth..
Shadowdancers are very unlikely to have more then two children. However, you're welcome to try I suppose, though the odds will be very slim. No Shadowdancer can have more then three children(with a small exception)
Each Shadowdancer is allowed up to 4 possible attempts.
If their first two attempts are sucessful, they can only try once more for a third child. Chances are slim for this child(If Owner Rolls 1-10 and gets a 3 or a 6)
Some couples just arn't meant to have a child naturally, random numbers will say if the couple breeds or not(see numbers in with roleplaying/without roleplaying rules).
An Few Examples.
If Shadowdancer A and Shadowdancer B wanted to have a child--
Their First Try was unsucessful(They have 3 tries left)
Their Second try unsucessful(They Have 2 Tries left)
Their Third Try was Sucessful(They have 1 Try left)
Their Fourth Try was unsucessful(No Tries Left)
That means, they can't try for children anymore.
Each breeding produces usually only one child. The owners of the parents(if there is two) must decide who is going to get the child at the time of the breeding request. That owner is the one responsible of paying for the breeding. The breeding counts as a breeding try against both owner's shadowdancers. However, owners, if they want to, have the option of trying for twins. This costs an extra 100g, and the additional flat pricing for each twin. Twins, unless otherwise discussed will be split, one too each owner.
