i don't meditate very often, but when i do it's generally to commune with the goddess and find out where i need to go, or it's to prepare for a ritual... sometimes i used to meditate so i could sleep... but now i always have visions when i meditate which ruins it. i guess i've been afraid to meditate again lately... neutral

I meditate because I really enjoy it. It's the best thing to do if your bored, and it's extreemly productive. It's better than vegging out in front of the tv! Also, I do it because I practice witchcraft and if your mind isn't sharp then your spells will suffer from it. Lately, I have been more focused on my tarot cards. I do at least one reading a day no matter what, and thats THE CARD OF THE DAY. Doing a tarot reading a day is much better than doing a large one every once in a while. But I usually get in about three or four more bigger ones throughout the day. I meditate with my tarot cards. My cards are a part of me, and when I meditate with them I become closer to them and a better tarot reader.
I meditate to get intune with the world around me. I enjoy nature, so naturally, I enjoy mediating outside. I find that tuning oneself with nature is the best kind of feeling out there. And just starting two months ago, I've been trying to tune myself in with the moon, and it's working. Later on, when I feel ready, I will start studying astrollogy and tuning in with the Universe.
So yeah, meditaion is VERY important to me.

I meditate sometimes. It took me a long time to be able to get it some what right because my mind, until recently hasn't been very undisaplined but now that i'm getting older i see the need to be able to have a shrap and concentrated mind so i use meditation as a way of focusing my mind and as a basic start to disapline

I meditate to ground myself as well as to rid myself of negative energy. It is also extremely helpful to go into a meditative trance during such practices as reiki. Another thing I use meditation for is to ready my body for intense physical action, such as a karate tournament where there is heavy competition and you must be at your peak to perform. Lastly, and most obviously, meditation is relaxing. It is one of the most worthwhile things you can do for your body and self on the physical plane.
