Is it really all it's stacked up to be?
Sadly, wealth dictates how we live. Money can buy you a house, food, water, health. Money can buy these basic things that we need to survive, and then some. People with money can have more than one house, more than enough food, petty surgeries that they don't even need.
Look at the US. It is really a sickening sight. There are people who have five houses, while there are people who hardly even have a cardboard box. Over $30 billion of the federal budget is funding the development of weapons, while people are left out to die of disease and hunger. This nation is in a really depressing state.
America boasts all this diversity s**t. And it's true. There are the incredibly rich and the incredibly poor. The incredibly dark and the incredibly pale. There are third world countries in our own backyards.
I have to end this rant before I start getting all psychological.

like holy crapamolie, yeah.
and the reason capitalism is allowed to thrive is do to the baseness of human nature. humanity perpetuates the negative aspects of everything because it's impossible for them to see the big picture with all the either wealth or that grime in their eyes.
i'm scared to even bother going on an anarchy rant... because ideals are not realities.
reality is that you can do what you can to help, but there will never be even a good sized minority of either thankful people or helpful people... humanity is just so... hopeless.
it makes me depressed to think about it. it makes me feel small and helpless. it makes me alot of things... stressed domokun scream emo

Aw crap...With this mentality, we'll never fix anything.
I came back from New Orleans thinking that if we can pull ourselves together, we can be bigger than the problems in the world. We have the ability to change things. Change takes time, granted. But change happens.

ideals are hard to hold on to in this life. i could write and activize all i want... i did that in college, and i was raised to do that by my mother... but something squashed the spark. it's personal, and hasn't alot to do with this thread, but it runs deep... okay?

40% of america's wealth is in 1% of the population, and the middle class is dissapearing. less rich, more poor

And most of the money from Third World nations somehow makes its way to the United States. So, there's even more poor people.
