The Eternally Sullen Teen
Once upon a time not all that long ago and not so far away from where i am at the moment there was a girl, this girl was allways sullen and had been for her entire life she could never find the beauty in people and things that other people claimed to see and she never felt any joy in other peoples company one day she was taking a walk in the woods though she felt there was no point in taking a walk as everything she saw bored her. However on this walk she came across a small boy stuck in a tree and though she was sullen she was not unkind so she helped him down and returned him to his much relived parents. The parents of the child where so happy that they showered the girl in praise calling her "Kind" and "Virtous". The girl went home and thought about this and for the firs time in her life her eyes where open to the beauty in something. Unfortunatly she was only able to see the beauty in this one thing, herself. And so day by day her ego grew and she would strut around the town speaking of herself and her wonderous beauty. Eventually the townsfolk decided that they must put a stop to this and so they confronted her telling her of how unpleasant she had become. She was shocked to have been told such things by so many people and she was convinced that if all of them said it was true it must be so. And so she went home again and thought long and hard of what they had told her and gradually she lost the abilty to see beauty in herself and having lost the one thing she ever cared about she sat there and sulked. And there she sits to this day sulking.

I reminds me of something in the original Grimms Fairy tales. A story about a dissobediant child who wouldn't obey even after death. I like your story alot.
