how can you tell if what you feel for someone is the real deal or just very strong lust?
I ask this because I have no idea of what i feel for a certain someone (no names as of yet) is love or just lust so i am confussed ever so slightly.

They say when you meet the person you love, Time stops.
You think of their personality/being/soul, Rather than how person's body in inticing.

I know I am in lust when all I can think about is the other person in bed, or naked, or doing something to me. When I am in love however,(and it takes me some small amount of time to figure it out) I start thinking towards more of feelings and the future and, for lack of a better term, start waxing poetically.

true love is doing what is best for a person; false love is doing only what makes that person love you more.
but then I've always been a firm believer in that your actions speak your intent and feelings far more truthfully than your words.

You don't know anything until that person is gone. Desire is a flood of chemical responses, love is a mental and physical connection. Desire fades over a given amount of time or until another chemical response is triggered.

Try to imagine this person doing something 'dirty' ... something like oral sex or something like that. If you get uncomfortable or if you get a weird feeling then it's more likely that it's the real thing.
Or try to spend some days without seeing him/her. If you get anxious then it may be lust.

You do things for the persons, Bring him or her gifts, Not because you want to get on their good side and provoke them but just to make them smile.
Love is action with out the intent of gain but for sake of your lover.

If you get anxious then it may be lust. i disagree. sex isnt a bad or dirty thing and if u feel weird about it, then that definitely not love. its the anxious, nausea, butterfly dancing, cant sleep at night feeling that tells you that it might be right. And yes that feeling fades, but what you are left with is far better better than you can imagine. and so what if u do feel a little lust towards them. if you didnt you wouldnt be attracted to them in the first place

Hmm..
It's hard to explain I guess.
Lust is more or less you want their body. You crave their sexual pleasure they may bring you.
Love is the feeling you get when you're around them.. It feels like time stops and everything is alright.. When they hug you, you want to die in thir arms.
I don't know.. Love is a hard thing to describe alone..
Let alone trying to distinguish it from Lust.
