Muse woke up from her nap under the blackberry bush. She was stained purple on her fur and peak from eating so many. Stretching, Muse was careful not to disturb her little brother. Her spade tail flicked back and forth, eager for a new adventure. This place was huge and with Ona on her back, she felt she could take on the whole valley.
Trotting over to a rock, she began to sharpen her horns. Once little brother woke up, Muse could teach him how to hunt bugs.

Onarasuto yawned as he slowly opened his eyes. Blinking, he glanced around to see that Muse was just going around, doing whatever. Having just woke up from a nice refreshing nap, he just watched her for a moment before stretching his little limbs.
"So what are we to do now?" he asked after some time has passed.

Turning around, Muse watched her little brother hop up and peer around. Nuzzling him, Muse used her tail to pick him up and place him on her back. "We can go exploring or I can teach you how to hunt bugs."
Rubbing her horns on some tree back, Muse gave a sort of grimace. "I think I am growing, Ona. My horns itch like crazy."

Once on Muses backside once more, Onarasuto situated himself then thought about the options. Then letting out a small sigh, he tilted his head slightly.
"Maybe we can do a little bit of both. Explore a little, and if we find an area with plenty of bugs, then we'll hunt. How does that sound?"
As she rubbed her horns on the tree, the hatchling blinked and did something similiar to a shrug.
"Well, that is a good thing. I wonder if we'll grow as big as Leimoni or Calamity..."

Muse laughed. "I bet you will grow large and wise. But remember this, to be wise you must first be a fool. Some day, there will be times when you make mistakes you can't fix. Learn from them and become the wiser."
She spoke from experience on this one. Tail moving from side to side, they had two options. Deeper into the woods or out into the meadows. Chirping at Ona, she pawed the ground and thought for a moment. "Woods or meadows?"

Onarasuto nodded in understandment at the words of the demonic child hippogriff. Then smiling slightly, he shifted his attention to the second set of options. Thinking about this for some time, he let out a sigh as he came to a decision.
"Let's go to the woods. There's a lot more to see there, in my opinion."
Nodding as he spoke, he glanced towards the woods, wondering what else was there right now.

Wings stretched out slightly to protect Ona from stinging bugs and the sun, Muse headed into the forest. It was much darker and much cooler traversing amoungst the trees. The brush and bramble were thick but not thick enough to catch her fur or wings. Muse looked back occassionally to make sure little brother was okay.
"In the wilds we go. Have you been this far before?"

((I'll be out from the 15th to the 22nd, but I'll try to get a post in when I can.))
As they started to travel through the woods, Onarasuto kept an eye out for anything interesting. Shaking his little head at the question, he continued to look around at their surroundings.
"No. The farthest I've been away from the cave would either be the place where I met you or the spot where that berry bush is."

Her horns were itching like crazy! Muse wanted to stop and rub them until the came off. Not only that but her coat was itching and her hoofs ached. But she said nothing about her problems, instead she focused on Ona.
"Well, little brother. We shall explore the woods and claim them as our own. Someday, when you are older and able to fly, I will take you to the mountains. It is beautiful there."

Onarasuto kept gazing around, taking in the forest scenery as he also took in Muse's words. Unaware of her current problems, he gave her a slight nod of his head. Though it was a small one, he was fairly eager for this plan of his big sister.
Not only for the exploring, and for seeing the mountains, but also for the flying.
"That sounds good to me. But, what is it like to fly?"

Muse stopped and thought about it for a moment. How could anyone describe flying to one who hasn't flown? It was amazing, it was the wind and the ground and life... It was...
"Freedom."
Moving over to a birch, Muse rubbed her horns some more, watching funny felt fall to the ground. She wanted to fly now but did not know how she could with Ona..
"We could try. Not to the mountians but perhaps over the trees?"
She would do anything to make him happy.

At this one-worded description, Onarasuto glanced up at the blue sky above, trying to imagine just how it was like. He knew he couldn't nearly get the picture right, but it really sounded like a very nice thing to experience.
After Muse rubbed her horns against a tree, he blinked then shook his head to himself.
The suggestion of flying now made his little ears perk up, but he wasn't entirely sure if it was going to be ok for his demonic big sister.
"That would be nice... But are you sure you'd be able to do something like that? You're probably not used to flying with extra weight are you?"

Muse chuckled. Stepping away from the trees, the demonic 'griff looked back at her brother. Her violet eyes stared at Onarasuto for a moment before looking up.
"Do you think that you weigh so much? You are a little one...rocks weigh more than you do..." And she chuckled again.
Prancing a little bit, she looked back at him one more time. "Clutch my fur with your beak and hold on tight!"
And then she sprung forward into the air.

Onarasuto chuckled a little nervously at her comment, but then shook his head to himself once more. He was still gazing up at the sky when she had started to prance to pick up a little bit of momentum.
"Hm? Oh!"
Just as Muse leapt into the air, the little hatchling clamped his beak down onto her fur to make sure he wouldn't tumble off of her back as they started into the sky.
He couldn't see or say much at the moment, but the feeling of the wind rushing by just felt really good to him.

It was really a slow pace but an enjoyable one. Chirping happily, she beat her wings until they were above the treetops. Muse was happy to be flying again, she wasn't sure she was ready yet... Especially after the damage done to her wings but she couldn't let Ona down.
And she did not, that was all that mattered.
"Open your eyes, little brother! Look down at the ground and see how different it is..."
