I am going to have to say this new game is sweet the power ups rock and the techinques are great. I must say that the game though was a quicky I beat it in a mere four hours trust me It can be done in less. The boss battles cooped with an army of lives makes the game a breeze. But still it is a peice of art.

The items and techniques.

Wall hop: allows you to bounce higher on walls this helps incase you start to fall down a naroow pit.
triple jump: With a sprint you can jump and then jump again to get some more distance then a third to really get flying.
Blue koopa shell: This is my fav. The shell equiped on mario is great. Not only does it work as a sheild it can slid and rampage through all enemies but not bosses. sweatdrop . It also helps to find one if you are traversing a water level as it gives you better control.
Mini mushroom: If you find one of these babies you are in luck. These help you acress hidden areas and two hidden worlds. If you get hit you will die instantly but have no fear. But then again to hut anything you need to use the butt stomp. Really though you can jump way higher and run across water. It helps when jumping on the end level flag as you jump so high up you get extra lives.
Mega mushroom: This inflates mario to fill the whole screen. You and destroy anything and everything. Used on boses and one touch from you then they die. also the bar at the top of the screen tells you how many lives you get when you return to normal hight. You can max out five enough to get you through a few more levels. This relly gets you through half the level or more so fast you can't tell what just happened.


The game has a very crud story infact there really ins't one. In the end you kill bowser and bowser junior in one battle which is easy as well and thensave peach...It really has nothing. You never find out why a random thinder cloud blew the heck out of the castle. All in all I find the game playble over and over again. With minigames and mushroom houses and two secret worlds it takes time to get bored.

It is a good game. By no means the best game on the system but it is worth buying, hey its Mario and it is fun to play so that is all u need for a handheld game.

I thought the game was recycling over and over again and did not include the power up that involves the feather which was kinda a let down to me. And getting big or small was only useful on certain levels. Also, you could only save at mushroom houses you open up of at a tower. Howeveer, it was very addictive and I could not put it down. So despite the flaws a give it a respectable 7/10

I'm pretty sure it took me a long while to beat myself. If you say that it is short, you obviously aren't skilled enough to find the 3rd and 5th world, huh? (Think those where the hidden ones.)

I managed to get all of the stars, and all of the backgrounds. Multiplayer never gets old either ^_^
