It was a very odd morning. The clouds were hung low, and it was very cold out. Hard to see was a problem for Zailan. He stood up and stretched a little. He had to go out hunting. In this weather, he didn't think it was possible. How could it be? He could see anything except for the redness of his loves feathers. He stretched again. And walked a little.
Looking up in the direction of the sky he sees a shape. What was it? He squinted. It was like a snake in the air flying. How could that happen? He looked closer. This time he saw the wings. His eyes got wide. It was that dragon thing!
Zailan twitched fearoucly, waking himself up from a horrible dream. It was still dark out. He was still in complete shock. He was breathing hard and looked like he'd just seen a ghost. He didn't know why that dream poped up.

Sensing Zailan's sudden distress, Silverwing quickly raised her head.
"Zailan, love...are you alright?! What's happened?" she inquired, her voice full of pure and honest worry for the well-being of her mate.
From benieth and beside her, a clutch of eggs wriggled, accopanied by a few lightly chirping balls of fluff that had come forth from their eggs about a fortnight ago.

Zailan looked over at Sliverwing and smiled. Gosh, she was so beautiful. He shook his head. "Everythings fine, I just had a bad dream is all." He didn't tell her about his incounter with the human that breathed fire. He didn't want her to worry. Though, he wanted to tell her so badly.
He looked down to see the little cluch of eggs. Or should he say, big cluch of eggs. All six of them. One of them was yet to be named though he wish he could name it soon. He didn't want it to hatch with out one. He smiled back at Silverwing.
(( I have to talk to John about that, he should have certed that egg by now for Mika. Dx! ))

Ruby cried, demanding her mommy and daddy's attention.
"Someone pway wit me!" she demanded in a screechy and whining voice.

Just as Silverwing had nodded and smiled endearingly back at her mate, came the sudden chirp of one of her hatchlings that was apparently awake currently. She gave a light giggle at the little one. Upon blinking twice she realized it was Ruby, the oldest of her only two female children. Silver gave a click of her beak then bent her head down slowly to fluffle young Ruby's baby feather's with her face.
"What do you want to play, little one?" she chirped adoringly, giving her baby another motherly nuzzle before beaming pridefully at Zailan.

Zailan smiled at his little girl and then smiled at his wonderful mate. He playfully poked Ruby with his beak and chuckled a little. "She's very lovely. I can't wait for the others to hatch." He noted looking at the other eggs. He'd wander when they'd all hatched, but didn't want them to all hatch at the same time. They were going to be a hard bunch to keep track of.
"We have alot of work put out for us, Sliver." He said sweetly to her still watching his little girl. She had wonderful markings. She looked mostly like her mother, which made him happy.

"I want to pway....uh," said Ruby, pausing. She left her beak open and stared blankly. Ruby began to space out, staring straight ahead at nothing in particular. Ruby then snapped out of it. She blinked and then began to giggle.
"Hewo," she said, completely forgetting what had just happened. Ruby giggled and laughed some more.

Silverwing chuckled loudly at the little female's odd behavior. Answering Zailan, she smiled, "Yes, LOTS of work indeed. I can't guarantee I'll be able to keep hold of my sanity with six lil' balls of feathers and love bouncing around our abode." She gave her mate a loving snuggle then looked back down at Ruby. Silver blew a puff of air at the little one's feathered tummy, causing the soft baby feathers to fluff up greatly. She gave a wink and a giggle, clearly playing cute with her little girl.

Zailan started cleaning Silverwings feathers. He knew that it was a lot of hard work ahead of them, though he knew that he wouldn't regret one bit of hit. After cleaning a few feathers he looked back at his little girl. "They'll all be wonderful." He was hoping for most of them to be girls.
Everyone knows that girls are a lot easier to take care of then boys. Though, he'd still love them the same. He just didn't want to go try to find them every minute of the day. He chuckled. With his luck, all the others would end up as boys.
((xD!! Little did he know... That he'll have two daughters. XD!!))

Ruby giggled as her feathers puffed up, causing her to look more round. She then paused and giggled some more. She then tilted over and began to roll around, giggling all the way. Ruby always did such bizarre and random things.

Silverwing cooed happily at her mate's grooming her. She gave him another light cuddle as she kept a wary eye on the energetic Ruby that currently was rolling about the nesting area. Silverwing wondered for a given moment if the hatchling knew her own name...that and being overly-motherly wanted to hear her baby say names anyways. for some weird reason, such a thing was heartwarming.
"Little one...." she began softly, gently pausing Ruby from her rolling, "Do you know mommy's name and daddy's name and your own name?" she asked.

Ruby nodded at her daddy.
"I Ruby," she said proudly. She knew her own name, which is something to be proud of, to her at least. "You..."
Ruby paused and blinked, confused on what she was supposed to say. So, instead, she said the first thing that came into her mind. The only other name she knew.
"Nyght," said Ruby, smiling, thinking she was correct.

Zailan raised his eyebrow as Ruby called them Nyght. He knew who that little one was. It was his adoptive daughters child. He smiled sweetly at the little one and then looked at Silverwing. "We'll have to work on that one." He giggled and nuzzled his little girl.

"Nyght my friend," said Ruby, smiling. Nyght was Ruby's first and only real friend. She then giggled, thinking of the fun times she had with Nyght. There are not many things that Ruby remembers, but she remembers playing with Nyght.

Silverwing was completely lost up until Ruby announced who Nyght was. "Oh, oh, I see. Nyght is a friend of yours. Awe, I shall have to meet this friend someday!" Silver smiled broadly, giving off a light giggle.
"On the contrair, I don't think knowing out names matter all that much. It's good you know your own! I'm so happy and proud of you, Ruby" she chirped, cuddling her little one once more, "Do you want to tell mommy and daddy more about your friend? You sound like you both get along so well!"
