piratematey04 I think if its your body, its you choice. Its not the best thing ever, but I dont think it should be against the law. If a woman became pregnant because she was raped, why should she have to have the baby? She didn't want it. Or how about if a couple used a condom, but it didn't work? Condoms work only 90% of the time. If they were practicing safe sex, and planned on not having a baby, but were one of the few whose condom didn't work, why should they have to have the baby? Also, why should somebody else get to decide whether or not someone can have an abortion? Why can't people choose for themself?

Deo_Machina Its not your body. Its a babies. there are alternate methods for getting rid of babies without harming anyone (Adoption). But on the other hand, if abortion is "killing" then so is NOT having kids (You know, there are only so many potential baby cells, so the ones that do not become children die..) Also, condoms work 99% of the time (according to sex ed in school).. no, it's your body and a baby's... women are harmed when they are pregnant, when they have to GIVE UP THEY'RE LIVING CHILD!!! and condoms work closer to between 85-90% of the time... it's on the freaking package...

Placebo Paradox I personally think abortion is fine, as long as you get it done before your three months into your prenancy. after three months I think it's just sick. by just making it illegal altogether though is just stupid. by doing that you'll get some woman who go to these back alley clinics trying to get an abortion, and wind up hurting more people then necessary (sp?) of course adoption is always a way to go, but abortion is just necessary sometimes. at least in my own point of view. is it better to have the child live a life of misery, or to keep it from that? a child born in to a family that clearly doesn't want it will not be a happy child.

heteria i am 18. on thursday i got a second trimester abortion procedure. i am pro-choice. i was 4.5 months pregnant. it is up to the woman if they should do it or not... even more importantly, if you are in a relationship, or married, it should be a mutual decision to have a baby. sex is a responsibility. none of this, "if the condom broke, then it's no ones fault and abortion is okay. when you have sex, you are making the decision knowing, "okay, life happens, and i could get pregnant." being pro-choice has nothing to do with being pro-abortion. i HAD the procedure done. i SAW my bloody ******** fetus. i am disgusted. i made a choice, and said hey, i'm big enough to ******** and deal with a pregnancy. and i wish i could take that back. i didn't like my abortion. i am not happy to have lost a child. abortion is a choice that you must make in life. if you choose to kill anyone, or stop any project, it is your decision. there are consequences. it's not jsut some mindless act. i don't know how i feel right now. i haven't thought about it much. and i'm still confused about it happening. but there's like two useless cents of crap.

Sure, it's inside of you, displacing your internal organs and sucking up your bodily resources. But just because it's a dermoid cyst doesn't mean it's not alive! the stage of devolopment where the hair and teeth would devolop is well past the stage where abortions are elective. actually, seeing as how in alot of places you can get it up to 25 weeks, yes, there is hair and teeth and sexual ddifferentiation. there's brain waves,a nd fingernails, and it can feel you.my baby was conveying FEELINGS to me when i terminated my pregnancy, like, that warm water feels good on your belly and s**t.

I do think that it should be up to the mother....as for the baby s**t happens and the baby does not even know that it is alive at that point of time and in cases of rade, incest, mothers life or childs life (as in no money to feed or care for the child) . There are to many children in adotption places....my mother was one of those children just so you guys know.....but I don't think that other people have the right to make the decision....it should be the mothers alone! She is the only person who will have to deal with the consequences!

I'm pro-choice not pro-abortion. If i ever get pregnant and i don't want it then i would put it up for adoption. But if the mother wants to kill her baby that is fine with me, it not my problem what she does with it.

As much as i value the human life, its not that significant... We only seem to care cuz its a baby. Many adults die around the world we dont even know about it, do we really care? I know your saying " of course i care! its a life! " Yeah but its still insignificant...The end of a life only affects those around it, not the other 6 billion around the world... The mother of a child might [yes might, there are some places] cry, but the guy three blocks down isnt, he doesnt even know. If informed, he'd likeley feel sorry for the mother, but have absolutley no sense of loss. The human life is fragile, starts easily, but ends easily aswell.
