Personality: Cagalli gets mad very easily. She often acts like a guy, but inside she is a sweet and caring girl. She can overreact sometimes and it gets her into a lot of trouble. Cagalli has an impetuous nature. Most of her actions are dictated by impulse, and as such, she often requires outside assistance. She also has a tendency to let her emotions run away with her, and can unleash a formidable temper when provoked. Cagalli is fierce, aggresive, and possesses an open mind and heart. Raised on pacifist ideals, she sticks firmly to them, a legacy handed down to her by her father.
It is Cagalli's tomboyish tendencies and feminine contrasts that endear her to thousands of viewers. It is her compassion and unshakable conviction that make her so interesting. And it is her inner strength and dedication to those she cares about that has made her so popular. As a character, she can only continue to grow.
Background: Cagalli Yula Attha went through childhood and a significant chunk of her adolescence believing herself to be Uzumi Nara Attha's daughter. Raised in the household of Orb's most important political figure, Cagalli was assigned both a maid and a bodygurad to look after her. She is seen in Heliopolis where she meets Kira and discovers the gundams, no the colony of Heliopolis, where she witnesses a gundam-jacking. Narrowly escaping that encounter, she is seen again in a desert, this time as a Desert Dawn Rebel. After the death of a close friend and fellow rebel, she and her bodyguard Kisaka join the crew of the ArchAngel, and remain onboard until its arrival at Orb. Along the way, she meets Athrun Zala in a certain encounter on a deserted island until Kira comes to find her. She remains on the ArchAngel until it's arrival in Orb. After that her noble position is revealed, which explains her strange behaviour. But when Uzumi sacrifices himself and self-destructs Orb's mass driver in attempt to ward of any EA forces. Cagalli returns to space aboard her own ship, the Kusanagi. She takes with her the revelation that after years of believeing otherwise, she is not Uzumi's biological daughter. Her true surname is Hibiki and she has a twin brother by the name of Kira Yamato. At the latter and of the war, she is found piloting the Strike Rouge, and is seen in SEED mode which no natural has ever done, and willingly follows the Justice before Athrun self-destructs the Genesis.
Two years later, she is the new head representative of ORB. She stays in ORB, deperately trying to prevent any conflicts leading to war from other nations. Things get worse as Unato and Yuuna Seylan plans different things for ORB and press on for Yuuna's arrange marriage to Cagalli. Cagalli ends up escaping with her brother Kira and the Archangel where they currently resides underwater in Scandinavia.
Another two years later, Cagalli Yula Athha has to face certain challenges like earning the people's trust and reign with Orb's ideals. She also attempts to influence the EA into coming in terms with ZAFT.

After his release, he helped fight with the Archangel, and after the war, they held a relationship that later was estranged. A soldier of Orb, she was official put to second Lieutenant aboard the Archangel, and currently, living in Orb as a photographer, she has most recently been put to do an article about the newly founded Oceanic Republic.

Personality: Shoji is a bit idealistic and can sometimes allow his beliefs to get the best of him. He can sometimes get ahead of himself and acts more on instincts rather than thinking things through which often times get him into trouble with Orb’s Representative. Unless dealt with, Shoji can be a little too much to handle with. However, he does have a kind heart and is most often true to his word. He can be highly persuasive with his words if he takes the time to act maturely in public.
Background: Shoji Buren is the son of Ryuu Buren and Nora Buren. The Burens were another noble family that ruled Orb alongside the Atthas, Seirans, and Sahakus; however, they are not as highly recognized as the Atthas and Seirans and perhaps have the least power in Orb’s Aristocratic government. Shoji didn’t grow up in the public eye too much since his mother sheltered him over the years and didn’t find it appropriate for him to experience such publicity at an early age. Unfortunately, during the battle at Orb in the first Bloody Valentine War Shoji’s parents were lost in the burning of the great kingdom alongside Orb’s Chief Representative at the time, Uzumi Nara Attha.
During Orb’s reconstruction and the occurrence of the Second Bloody Valentine War, Shoji remained at his family’s mansion away from the public. He remained isolated and depressed during these years and even once considered committing suicide for he didn’t know how he could continue living his life without the guidance of his parents. Though, he continued to watch reportings of Orb’s rebuilding and watched as the new Chief Representative, Uzumi’s daughter, Cagalli Yula Attha overcome many obstacles to maintain Orb’s traditional values and with that he grew quite an admiration with her. He admired her ability to lead a country from a young age and to hold her beliefs even when opposed by wiser and more experienced officials of the legislature.
One day, Shoji received a visit from the Representative herself after the conclusion of the Second Bloody Valentine War asking him to join the legislature in place of his deceased father. The aristocratic government was growing weak and few with all the deaths of the emirs occurring due to the previous two wars. Shoji accepted the offer and then focused his energy on being able to assist Cagalli in restoring the once great Kingdom of Orb.

Background: Lacus Clyne was the daughter of PLANT Supreme Council chairman Siegel Clyne. She is a Coordinator, whose career as an idol singer has brought her enormous popularity in the PLANTs. She was engaged to Athrun Zala, mainly out of political expediency (although they do get along well and are good friends, according to a drama CD, they once were in love but the feeling diminished for them both as time went on), but as the Bloody Valentine War continued on, Lacus met and slowly fell in love with Kira Yamato, pilot of the Earth Alliance's Strike, later the Freedom, which she had given to him. Later on, Lacus takes refuge in Orb with Kira and her friend Reverend Malchio, before later joining forces with Kira and Athrun to once again stop the Second Bloody Valentine War. Currently, she has been made mediator between Orb and the PLANTS, as well as Chairwoman of the PLANTS.

Background: In Gundam SEED, Kira is a first-generation Coordinator who lived in the neutral colony Heliopolis with his friends. An expert in the field of computer science, he often helped with special research at the college he attended. His life skewed in a totally different direction when he unwillingly got involved in the ZAFT attack on the colony and became the reluctant pilot of the GAT-X105 Strike, ultimately enlisting in OMNI (the military of the Earth Alliance) and subsequently earning a commission. Thereafter he followed the crew of the battleship Archangel in the fight against ZAFT. Kira coined the nickname "Gundam" for his machine from an acronym within the name of the Strike's mobile suit operating system (the "GUNDAM" acronym also found its way into subsequent mobile suit operating system names within the Cosmic Era timeline and the nickname stuck to similar high performance prototype mobile suits that use the GUNDAM operating system). In Gundam SEED Destiny, Kira returns to help fight once again, the results including resucing his sister Cagalli from a wedding, and teaming up with Athrun and Lacus to once again end the new war.
Personality: Very kind and not wanting to see people get hurt at first, Kira was like a crybaby, always wanting the fighting to stop. Later on, however, he realized the hard truth of it all, and became more serious and hardened. He was still compassionate though, and cared for those around him. As well, his knowledge make him logical and always lent suggestions to battle strategies.

BACKGROUND
Unwittingly caught in the midst of an attack while trying to escape to a refuge centre, Shinn and his family witnessed the infamous battle between the Freedom and the three mobile suits Calamity, Raider and Forbidden. While running, his sister Mayu drops her cell phone. Against the wishes of his mother Shinn went to retrieve the phone, but just as he reached it an explosion flung him away from his family. When he reached the rubble all that greeted him was the severed arm of Mayu.
At his wishes, Colonel Todaka of ORB took Shinn up to the PLANTS. Shinn no longer trusted the so-called ideals of ORB and harboured an extreme disgust and hate of Cagalli Yula Athha, the former Representative's daughter.
He enlisted in ZAFT military, where he met his friends Rey Za Burrel, Lunamaria Hawke and Meyrin Hawke. After graduation, they were placed on the LHM-BB01 Minerva, when Shinn was granted the privilege to be the pilot of the new prototype ZGMF-X56S Impulse.
At the invasion of Armory 1 on October 2, CE 73, Shinn and the Minerva were suddenly cast into the Second Bloody Valentine War, chasing the Girty Lue while trying to recapture the three units lost, the ZGMF-X24S Chaos, ZGMF-X31S Abyss, and ZGMF-X88S Gaia. It is only a few moments after the war starts again that the crew of the Minerva realizes that they have the Representative of ORB on board the ship, along with her bodyguard Alex Dino, who the Chairman reveals as Athrun Zala.
While at a ZAFT city on Earth, Shinn meets a girl named Stellar, who he saves from drowning in the ocean. At the discovery that Stellar is the enemy, Shinn strives to protect her innocent nature from the harsh war, but ultimately fails, at the same hand who killed his parents. At a fateful battleground Shinn brings down the Freedom, the bane of his life, and his skill catches the attention of the Chaiman, Gilbert Dulindall, who awards him with the ZGMF-X42S Destiny.
In the final few moments of the war, Shinn fights between the words Athrun Zala speaks to him amidst battle and his friend Rey's denial of them. Lost in the middle of bloodshed, Shinn fights to realize what is the truth.
PERSONALITY
Shinn is a creature of impulse who acts very much on his emotions and personal sense of right or wrong. Hardened by the effects of war, he is quick to anger and weeps at the loss of his parents and sister. Stellar, his first love, was a chance for redemption, but she too died, and Shinn cannot bear to lose anyone else. The cellphone which Mayu dropped and saved his life is ironically the only surviving remnant of his sister.
A determined person, Shinn will use any and all means necessary to reach his goal, displayed by his extremely skilled usage of his mobile suits' abilities, both with the Impulse and Destiny, no matter how vulgar they may appear. His hate of ORB is often brought up, but he has decided to put that aside for something larger than his personal vendetta.
After finally coming to terms with Kira Yamato, the pilot of the mobile suit that killed his family while chasing after the enemy, Shinn has calmed down somewhat. However, his decision to remain in the military was due to the belief that no more innocent people should bleed for someone else's personal right. Alongside his current love Lunamaria Hawke, they work to bring back the world of hope that although will never come to them again, will help the innocents who were lost in the midst of war.
UPCOMING
Shinn is enlisted as part of a secret special ops group whose mission is to enter the new Oceanic Republic and gather information. At a military outpost on Earth, he and Lunamaria, removed from their posts on the Minerva, meet up with the other two members of their group, Yzak Jule and Dearka Elsman. They are briefed by their intelligence provider from headquarters, Meyrin, who will help coordinate the mission and report to the Supreme Council. Although the current Chairwoman, Lacus Clyne, objects to such measures, especially against a country who they have yet to gain their trust, the other members of the Council, particularly those of the Defence Committee, believe this is a measure that must be taken.

Personality: Meyrin is has a very shy nature, and is known for having less of a complexity than her sister (in one episode, while her sister is in the shower, Meyrin tries to put on Lunamaria's skirt to see if it would fit her, and is angered when she sees that its too small for her). Like her sister, Meyrin has a large crush on Athrun Zala; however, unlike Luna, Meyrin has never displayed open signs of affection for Athrun, always blushing and avoiding eye contact.
Background: Meyrin was the Minerva's Combat Information Control Officer (CIC) and younger sister to redcoat elite Lunamaria Hawke. In episode 36, when Athrun was being chased through the Gibraltar military base, however, it was Meyrin who helped Athrun escape by hacking the base security, setting off a false alarm, and driving Athrun to a nearby hangar. Although she had not originally intended to go with Athrun, she was forced to leave with him when the pair were discovered by Rey Za Burrel. Subsequently, they were shot down by Shinn Asuka when they escaped on a ZGMF-2000 GOUF Ignited. The mobile suit crashed into sea and both Meyrin and Athrun were thought to be dead. Luckily they both survived and saved by Kisaka and were brought to the Archangel. During the episodes that followed Meyrin took care of Athrun Zala and was entrusted to watch over him by Cagalli Yula Athha when the Archangel went into space. Meyrin then became the CIC of the Eternal. She persuaded her sister to stop fighting when the latter was about to fire on the Eternal in the The Battle of Messiah, plunging Lunamaria into a state of confusion and anger towards Athrun Zala for "converting" Meyrin. After the war, Meyrin was seen accompanying Athrun when they visited the memorial for the fallen in Orb in Gundam Seed Destiny Final Plus. Now, stationed in the PLANTS, she is communications officer with the secret force that her sister is taking part in, to uncover military secrets in the O.R.

She became an elite pilot, a Red Coat, at first piloting a ZAKU, later on the Impulse. Ironically, while Lunamaria is an elite pilot, she is bad with guns, evidenced in target practice. When Alex Dino, aka Athrun Zala enlists as a member of FAITH, it is evident that she had a crush on him. However, once he had supposedly betrayed ZAFT and converted Meyrin, her loved turned to Shinn Asuka. Now, as part of a special ops group, she, Shinn, Dearka and Yzak go to the O.R., trying to uncover its military intelligence secrets, and its true motives.

Audrina Kavira was born on the PLANT Aprilius. Her mother and father divorced before she was born. Her father was a Council Member for Uzumi Nara Attha at Orb. Her mother was a pharmacist at Aprilius. Her father brought her to the Oceanic Republic many times during the next year. He taught her about the government of Orb and it's faults, and how his government was flawless. He told her how he created the Oceanic Republic and his plans of the small country. At the age of 15, her father was killed in a car accident during peace treaty talks in Orb. Her father was the secret founder of the Oceanic Republic. Her mother died one year later during the Second Bloody Valentine War when Aprilius was destroyed. Fortunately, Audrina was at the Oceanic Republic when this happened.
Audrina is very smart and very clever. She enjoys designing and building mobile suits. She attended the Oceanic Republic's Mechanical Engineer College of MS Design and Creation for four years. Every year, the said college would hold a MS Tournament of the Best. The tourney consisted of design, mechanics, and creativity. Audrina claimed the tournament with her remarkable ORMS-X666 Leviathan.
Personality
Audrina never raises her voice. She is quiet and only talks when she needs to. She is a born leader. She always thinks before she speaks and always listens to others. She appears to have a slight grudge against the Nation of Orb and an even bigger grudge towards Cagalli. The reasons are still unknown. The Oceanic Republic is her only home; the people are her only family. She loves this country, and will not let anyone or anything destroy it.

Background: Kairynn lived a normal civilian life in the PLANTS with her parents and her brother until the age of 13, when the first Bloody Valentine War started. Seperated from her father, and brother, her mother and her took shelter until after the war. Her father, a second lieutenant in his fleet, was killed during the last battle, but her brother couldn't be found. She continued life and attended unniversity there at the age of fourteen. During the Second Bloody Valentine War, she and her mother refuged many children and mothers who'd been seperated from the rest of their families by war just like them. After going into social politics, she was found by Lacus Clyne, and asked to be messenger between the PLANTS and the newly founded Oceanic Republic.

Talents: Very good artist who draws and paints the scenes and people around her. Also an excellent skater and dancer.
Personality: She is a shy person, who does not like to get too involved in other people's matters, but she can be unfront when she needs to be. She very skilled at being a people's person, and is very calm and logical. However, she is very scared of another pending war, and does not want any more fighting to occur, for she cannot stand the sight of blood.

Ryoku Takashon was born in England January 19th. He became a ZAFT recruit at the age of 15 during the Second Bloody Valentine War. BACKGROUND
Athrun Zala is the only son of the deceased Chairman of ZAFT Patrick Zala and his wife Lenore Zala. At the age of fifteen, Athrun fought as a Red on the Elite Rau Le Creuset ZAFT special forces team of the first Bloody Valentine War. He piloted the stolen GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam of the Earth Alliance throughout most of the war until he self destructed it in a battle against his long-time friend and Coordinator Kira Yamato. He was then later given the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam to pilot by his father and given the task to find the pilot of ZGMF-X10A Freedom and kill him. He later found out from Lacus that it is Kira who is the pilot of the stolen Gundam and that he should talk with him in order to reside their differences. After reuniting with Kira and escaping into space from the EA, he then deflected from ZAFT because of a disagreement with his father of the views of war and joined the Clyne Faction, the ArchAngel, and Orb in what was known as the Triple Ship Alliance. At the end of the first Bloody Valentine War, Athrun deflected to Orb where he stayed with the new Representative of Orb Cagalli Yula Attha as her bodyguard under the alias Alex Dino.
Two years later, a new threat occur which created the second Bloody Valentine War and Athrun returned to ZAFT as a Red Coat and was made a member of FAITH by the newly elected Chairman of ZAFT Dullindal. He was given ZGMF-X23S Saviour Gundam to pilot until it was destroyed by Kira in a battle over a conflict about Cagalli. Later on he escaped from ZAFT with Meyrin Hawke when Dullindal framed him for being a traitor and sent Rey Za Burrel and Shinn Asuka after him to kill him. He was then rescued by ORB officials after a near fatal battle with Shinn and Rey that left him for dead. He then recuperated in the hospital aboard the ArchAngel. In a later battle, Lacus gave him the ZGMF-X19A Infinite Justice to pilot alongside Kira's ZGMF-X20 Strike Freedom. They were able to work together to end the war.
UPCOMING
Now, two years later, Athrun Zala is once again on the move under a new alias, Koji Matasuki. He is now a resident in the newly formed nation known as the Oceanic Republic. He has lost all contact with his friends and former allies in war except for one, his long-time friend Kira Yamato. He is trying to clear his mind from war and bloodshed, but it might be unlikely for him to ever get away from the trouble actions of mankind when it is now up to him to spy on a nation that was thought to be everyone's solution to warfare.

BACKGROUND
Born as the only child in the family, Tanya had to work very hard in order to prove to her father that she was of some worth to him, just as much as a son would have been. She worked long hours in the family-run store, where she built her strength, both physically and mentally through the harrowing work her father placed on her. However, she realized its worth, and tried not to complain about it.
When Tanya was ten, her mother, Annelise, died in a tragic car accident, and soon after her father contracted an illness. Being a Natural, it was harder for his body to fight the disease away, and he was left paralyzed in a wheelchair. But like father, like daughter, and he continued his shop business. It is evident where Tanya attains her temperamental streak when her father would argue with those who wanted to purchase his shop.
But ever so slowly, debts began to rise because of the heavy costs of George's medication. Although persistent, he had a heart of gold, and told Tanya to send him to a nursing home that was paid for by the government. Soon after her father was sent away, Tanya moved in with some local friends and sold the shop so she would have some extra money. Now at a loss for what to do, Tanya spent long days wandering the streets of her city, looking for a job.
One day, while she was out of town, word reached her that the east side of the city had been bombed by a ZAFT attack that had missed its target. Tanya rushed home only to find that her home - along with all her friends - had been decimated by the bomb. Fuelled by her temper, she joined the military in the hopes of avenging her friends as well as making her father proud of what she had become.
Tanya quickly rose in the ranks of the Earth Alliance military, and became an elite soldier. She was soon contacted to become part of the secret faction coded as Absolute Zero, meeting three other members who were to become her teammates, Paul Reisz, William Archer and Alex Raven. She was given the GAT-X 155 Nightmare mobile suit, and met her leader. She soon realized that his and her own reasons for joining the army were the same, and slowly grew to become an integral part of Absolute Zero.
PERSONALITY
Tanya is a fiery-tempered girl, and not about to let any man call her inferior. She is strong-willed and independent, but deeply injured inside by the deaths of her mother and friends. She hides her inner fears and pains beneath a mask of a cheerful young woman, and is afraid of anyone else finding her out.
Slightly rash at crucial times, Tanya is deft with a mobile suit as well as physical combat, but doesn't always make the best decisions and that often leads her fellow soldiers into bad situations. Fortunately, she has the strength and will to pull her team through each time, but is often reprimanded by her superiors for her behaviour.
Although she makes it clear that she is independent, Tanya can be quite a romantic at times, but will not stand for flirts, thus her constant bickering with Alex. However, her most fervent dream is that one day she will be able to settle down after everything is over and be able to live a life with no regrets, alongside that special someone who is out there in the world, looking for her like she is for him.
UPCOMING
As part of the special faction Absolute Zero, Tanya will be part of the force that launches an assault on ORB after its official statement that it is the EA that has sent the assassin to attempt the murder of Cagalli Yula Athha. While everyone in the faction knows that it was not them, they are trying to protect their image as those of purity and use this as an excuse to launch an attack on ORB, while at the same time the EA leader (secretly also in charge of Absolute Zero) is maintaining the EA's political stance of innocence.

However, once Orb had decided to form a treaty with the PLANTs, Paul broke away from the military, and joined with members of the still thriving Earth Alliance Federation. Accepting his talents as an asset, they made him the leading pilot of the newly founded faction called Absolute Zero. He was assigned the recently tested GAT-X 150 Nigritude, a mobile armour with the lastest design and technology created by the leading engineers of the EAF.

BACKGROUND
Alex was never wanted as a child. He was the result of a love affair between a flourishing entrepreneur and an aristocrat's daughter. While his mother's reputation was strong enough to be dented slightly, Terence Raven immediately lost all face and opportunity to have his dreams fulfilled. He did not cast Alex away, but Alex knew from a very young age that he was unwanted. The affair was so high-profile that everyone knew who he was, and despised him for it. His classmates at school were taught to hate him. His teachers would look down at him regardless of how well he did at school. His father restricted his every desire.
However, his academic excellence allowed him to enter university at fourteen with a scholarship, where he studied in mobile suit operation. His prowess attracted the attention of the army, and with the prospect of escaping the world where everyone knew him as the love child, readily agreed to join. While in the military, he remade himself. He finally saw the chance to set himself free from all restrictions and find out who he really was. He became known as 'the flirt', but he didn't mind; anything was better than his past reputation travelling with him.
He was drafted to join the team known as Absolute Zero, along with Paul, William and Tanya, and given the GAT-X156 Nihil. While trying to make his presence known, he instantly sensed that his own reasons for joining the army were much different than the rest of the group's. He was not driven by vengeance, which allowed him to see things in a different light - he did not dislike Coordinators for who they were, not being one was just the Naturals' decision and it was their folly and a human's innate jealousy that led them to their current situation, he thought. However, he found that Tanya would constantly keep him and his flirtaciousness in check, which he found amusing. He doubted that anyone in the group could understand him, but she formed a strange bond with him.
PERSONALITY
Alex enjoys flirting with women. He is the playful, lighthearted sort who harbours some sort of inner darkness. Even he does not know the extent of this darkness is; all he knows is that he does not wish for the sadness of his childhood to resurface. His personality is his shield for what could possibly happen in the future. He does not want what happened to his father and mother to happen to him, so he is careful when it comes to relationships.
He may not appear it, but he is quite perceptive of others' emotions. Alex possesses a great ability to empathize with those around him, and an analytical mind that is hidden underneath his exterior. However, it may be said that this single trait of empathy is his weakness in battle. No amount of training is able to harden his heart.
UPCOMING
Alex will face, along with the rest of Absolute Zero, the trials and tribulations of the accusations ORB will give against them. As the shadow team, he and his teammates will have to conduct the dirty missions the rest of the army cannot, and defend a cause that he cannot even relate to.
