Have you ever watched Xiaolin Showdown on Kids WB? If so, that's a good example for this roleplay. If not, I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out as we go along. Oh, and for people with cable, Avatar: The Last Airbender might be a semi-good example too.

So the characters here are regular people like you and me. The only difference is they have elemental powers. There will be four people in a group of elementalists. Each person in the group will have a different element: either Wind, Water, Fire, or Earth (which can be the rock earth or flora earth, but not both).

They may also have sub-elements. This will be something such as Dark, Light, Electric, Ice, or Metal. They will be much weaker in the use of the sub-elements.

The roleplay is set in modern times, and the characters might go on quests for magical items or something. They all know martial arts. They will also come from different places, such as their base might be in New York or Africa, Australia or China, Ireland or Mexico. And of course since we want them to get together somehow, I have an idea that'll work well enough, which I'll say in my post.

If you're confused, feel free to ask me anything. And when they use their powers, they don't turn into the element, just use it.

Name: Gail Nithgin
Age/Gender: 16/F
Element: Wind
Description: (Indian-American, but not Native) She has light brown skin and dark brown eyes. Her hair is straight and dark brown at the top blending to auburn at the bottom. She alway keeps it loose, and it reaches to her mid-back.
Clothes: She wears white flare jeans (also like this, but white), a white flared-sleeve shirt, and white boots (without heels).
Other: Gail is the leader of her group. She loves to fly on the wind up to low clouds, or just twirl on the wind. She also makes sure her group trains every day so they're always prepared. She's a really deep thinker, but can also be silly when she feels like it. Her team's base is in one of the forests of Connecticut, and is surrounded by Aspen trees.

Name: Alex Connley
Age/Gender: 16/M
Element: Fire
Description: (French-Canadian-American) He has lightly-tanned skin and blue eyes. His hair is straight, spiked upwards, and black with red tips.
Clothes: He wears a black t-shirt with a flame design on it, black pants with the same design on the sides of his pant legs, and black boots with flames on them.
Other: Alex is the only guy in his group, but he doesn't mind. He likes to do mini-fireworks displays, although they look more like regular fire than the ones you'd see on the Fourth of July. He likes to think he's 'smooth with the ladies' but most of the time that's not the case. His father may be French Canadian, but he doesn't really know any French.

Name: Kahla Zabweh
Age/Gender: 16/F
Element: Earth (flora)
Description: (African-American) She has dark brown skin and darker brown eyes. Her black hair is in two puffs, but without cornrows.
Clothes: She wears a leaf-green shirt, green flare jeans, and green shoes (but not lime green).
Other: Kahla is definitely the smartest of the group. She's very good in math, and awesome in computers. She can hack alsmost any computer system, and has a very good memory so she remembers lots of what she sees on the internet. Even so, she loves the outdoors and is often found wandering the forest and talking to trees and other plants, even though they can't reply back. She is very quiet as well.

Name: Natalie Smith
Age/Gender: 16/F
Element: Water
Description: (British-American)She has 'white' skin but isn't pale, and light blue eyes. Her hair is long, straight, blonde, and a few inches above waist-length. She also wears a blue hairband (like of of these, except completely blue).
Clothes: She wears a blue tank top, a denim skirt (pretend it's bluer than that), and blue sandals (without high heels).
Other: Natalie loves to shop, especially for clothes. But she really likes to shop with her friends and buy stuff for them, and since she comes from a rich family money generally isn't a problem. But even though she sometimes acts likes one, she isn't a prep. She loves swimming and always has her blue swimsuit on under her regular clothes.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Jake Dunya
Age/Gender: 16/M
Element: Wind
Description: (Australian) He has tanned skin and green eyes. His hair is straight, short, and blonde.
Clothes: He wears a black hooded sweatshirt (without the skull) over a white t-shirt, faded black jeans, and black/white tennis shoes.
Other: Jake is also the leader of his group. He always tries to charm Gail and ask her out and so on, but she wants nothing to do with him. He doesn't care though, he's very persistent. His group is kind of evil. Well, not evil, just not good. They're kind of mean, almost like bullies to other elemental groups, and think they're better than everyone. The only group they don't really bully, just annoy, is Gail's group. This is because either Jake won't let them, or they like someone in Gail's team like Jake does. His team's base is somewhere in the grasslands of Australia.

Name: Lee-Roy Kenson
Age/Gender: 17/M
Element: Earth (rock)
Appearance: (African-American, born in US) He has dark brown skin, a black afro, and brown eyes. He is tall and thin, but muscular as well. He's really attractive, at least he thinks so anyway.
Clothing: He wears olive green flipflops, baggy brown cargo pants, and an olive green tank top. His hands and forearms are wrapped in tan boxing tape (creepy pic, I know). His accessories include a tan head band, and an afro pick. (He wears it on the side).
Other: Lee-Roy is a member of Jake's team. He's into rap and hip hop, boxing, and girls. He's got a killer puch, but isn't overly-violent as it messes up his "fro". He's cocky and full of himself, but never hesitates to support a teammate in need.

Name: Fera
Age/Gender: 17/F
Element: Fire
Appearance: http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/4360/tek0607070b8a886my.png
Clothing: Nix the whip, I just thought it was cool.
Other: Fera has a dark past, but she doesn't let it bother her. She used to have a twin, Tera, who had element powers too. She was an earth elemental, and Fera was always's singeing her garden on accident. One day, Fera got very mad and accidently set the house one fire, (she just lived with Tera), burning everything she had..... including her sister. This was when she was eleven, and she has gotten over it (mostly). Now she is a fun person, if not a little strange and vague, and she has her element under better control.
(In Jake's group.)

Name: Marino
Age/Gender: 16/M
Element: Water (Mainly ice)
Appearance: http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/6328/tek060819865a7ux6.png
Other: Marino is a little younger than alot of the Elementals, but since they're all in the same range of age he copes. He's pretty laid back and loves playing with his powers when he's in a place with just other elementals. (Though he loves consentrating moisture on normal people to make them look like they're sweating a ton... gives him a great laugh.) He doesn't talk much, but most the time when he does talk it means something. Even though he's not talkitive, no-one ever thinks of him as quite because he uses alot of body language and it always seems like he's talking. He's kind of.... well, he acts and dresses gay, but he's not. But not attracted to anyone in particular at the moment.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Keilana Liliakanani
Age/Gender: 18/F
Element: Water
Appearance: (Hawaiian) She has dark tan, bronzed skin, thick, chin-length black hair, and dark brown eyes. She is tall for her culture, and heavyset, but not overweight.
Clothing: She wears sand-colored flipflops, a shell anklet, an ocean blue sarong embroideredwith white shells, and a white tied halter tod.
Other: Born on a Hawaiian island, Keilana has always been connected to the ocean. She is strong and loyal, like the waves she loves to surf on. She always remains calm, as her name means "gloriously calm", and likes to think things through patiently.
(She is also the leader of a group, but I don't really understand how that works)

Name: Elle Le Pen
Age/gender: 16/F
Element; Earth (flora)
Appearance: (French-born, speaks with slight French accent) Elle has pale, cream colored skin, voluminous chestnut hair down to her lower back, and light, pale brown eyes. She is thin and petit, and has chipmunk-like features.
Clothing: She wears brown hiking boots, a khaki cargo skirt, a dark green tank top, a wooden bead bracelet and necklace, and a tan safari hat.
Other: Elle comes from a wealthy European family. From a very young age, her father, an intrepid explorer, used to take her on safaris and treks through the wild jungles and plains of Africa and South America. Daring and adventurous, she loves the thrill of conquering the wilderness. But she is always gentle and loving towards nature.
(she is also in Keilana's group)

Name: Yenene
Age/Gender: 17/ female

Clothes: Wears traditional native american garb, with a leather top and bottoms. Her clothing ahave designs that resemble wind and symbols of great herds of bison. She always carryies to large wooden hoops with her at all times, as one of her greatest pleasures and skills is the art of hoop-dancing and she uses them with her element to create gust of wind.
Other: Part of Keilana's group, she comes from the Hopi tribe of south-western United States. She's the daughter of the tribe shaman, and she values grace above all else. She dosen't talk much, and is rather shy.

Name: Sulasa (Sue-LA-sa)
Age/Gender: 18/F
Element: Fire
Appearance: http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/4360/tek0607070b8a886my.png
Clothing: Like that, only two straps and she wears differents colors like yellow, blue, green, all that good stuff.
Other: Is very sweet and smart, but is bitter a bitter enemy with Fera. They look exactly alike almost, and it bugs them to death. Though she is a fire element, she loves all of nature and is enamored by any kind of animal.
(In Keilana's group.)

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Takeo Masao
Age/Gender: 18 M
Element: Fire
Description: (Japanese) Tall and thin, dosen't have any visible bulk, but is decently strong. His hair is long, pitch-black, and straight and goes down to about mid back. Tan skin and brown eyes. However, whenever he uses his element, they turn bright red.
Clothes: Very stately red robes with woven dragon designs of orange and gold. traditional red peasent shirt and pants. Also wears red boots with designs identical to that of his robes. Always keeps a Samurai blade at his side; he uses it to fight when the ocassion arises. He is very skilled.
Other: The leader of his group. It is based in a rather large, multileveled pagoda in Japan; he is very serious. He spends most of his time in a small room of the pagoda with many blazing fires and meditates. Is a very powerful elementalist, but his teamates usually do the fighting for him. When he does fight he uses his element to cover his blade with flames and thus channels his elemental energy through the blade instead of through his body.

Name: Arnold Phillips
Age/Gender: 22
Element: Earth (Stone)
Description: (German) A decent heigth, very burly and muscular. His muscles are clearly visible even when he is not flexing them. Has grey-blonde hair that is spicked back, and almost looks like you could impale yourself on it. His eyes are such a light blue that they almost look grey, and he also has a rather odd skin color. It is plae, but such that you would almost say it had a grey tint.
Clothes: Wears quite little. Has no shirt and wears camoflague army pants and boots.
Other: In Takeo's group, he acts almost like a body gaurd. He is very protective of his leader, and he does a good job too. He is also ratehr serious about training, and spends most of his time walking along the gardens, and doing what he calls, "communing with the earth". He also knows that although older, he is not as strong as Takeo, so he never thinks the fact that it is unfair that he is lead by someone younger than him. He speaks with a heavy German accent, and is very patient.

Name: Shadow
Age/Gender: 19/ F
Element: Wind
Appearance/clothing: http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/273/tek060707621d434pd.png
Other: Shadow is very mature and mystic, she loves book-lore and seems a little out of it most of the time. She doesn't joke much, but she has a sense of humor. She's very wierd according to normal standards, but she makes up for it with smoothness and a very even voice that makes people who first meet her get the immpression of a very wise old lady. (Though Shadow isn't really that much wiser than most 19-year olds.)
(In Takeo's group.)

Name: Tristan Miller
Age/Gender: 17/M
Element: Water
Description: (American) He has pale skin, crystal blue eyes, and short sandy-blonde hair combed neatly to the side.

Other: Part of takeo's team, Tristan is skilled at manipulating and shaping water particles. He is a devout Catholic, and holds Jesus and his duty towards God above all else. Enlightened by the pure, crystal qualities of water, he loves rain, natural springs, and the calming, soothing side of his element. He is extremely compassionate and thoughtful to everyone, causing some to call him a wimp and a "mama's boy" and tease him about being gay. He is not, of course, as his religion forbids it. Despite being bullied, Tristan uses his deep faith and trust in God to give him courage, and can be assertive and noble.

The Elders had sent out invitations to elementalists all over the world, inviting them for a get-together at a secluded place in the Himalayas. All the wind elementals flew their group to the lush valley, an interesting place in the middle of the freezing cold of the mountains. There was a huge house in the middle of the valley that seemed like a one-story mansion, that was where the Elders lived. All around it was a thick forest, almost a jungle. In the back was a very large lake, but it was only about 20 feet at its deepest. This was where Gail and her team found themselves on Friday afternoon.

What practically all of the elemental groups did was collect magical artifacts. Once a year the Elders invited them to their home to bring them the artifacts so they could store them away in a safe place. It was also a time when the elementalists could socialize with others that weren't in their group of four. Everyone was tween to young adult age, so they all enjoyed partying. Even the Elders joined in, sometimes dancing, much to the amusement of the elementalists.

The Elders were the teachers of all the elemental groups. Each elementalist knew at least four, if not more, of the eight Elders. There was two Elders of each element, and two genders for each element. They were very powerful, but using their powers at that age made them very weak.

So of course Gail, Alex, Natalie, and Kahla were very excited to see the Elders again, not to mention more teams like themselves. Last year they hadn't been able to go, so this year they were sure they'd see many new faces. The only thing they didn't look forward to was seeing Jake and his team. But they hoped to avoid him, after all, there were 36 groups coming, making for 144 people. No matter what though, they knew they'd have fun.

The four arrived at the one-story mansion each holding a bag of artifacts, and were welcomed warmly by the female master of wind. "Gail, Natalie, Kahla, and Alex!" she exclaimed. "My, look how you four have grown! We haven't seen you in so long!"

"It's only been two years, Mistress Elder," Gail replied, blushing slightly. All the Elders were either called Mistress Elder or Master Elder. No one knew their real names except the eight themselves.

"Yes, yes, of course, but that's a very long time! Come on in, I'll take those, and go enjoy yourselves! Most of the students are already here," she said, gesturing toward the door that led to outside in the back. The four of them bowed to the Elder and went outside, looking around.

There was a long wood table that seemed to grow out of the ground, probably made by a few flora earth elementalists, that held plates and plates of food. Even though it was early afternoon and the sun was shining brightly, there was a bonfire not far from the edge of the lake, with many elementalists, mostly fire, gathered around it. There were some people laughing and splashing in the lake, and a few earth elementals were making sand castles and solidifying them so the waves wouldn't wash them away.

"So what should we do, guys?" Gail asked her team.

Natalie pointed toward the food. "I say we get some of that first!" The others nodded and they all got plates and started piling on food.

"Man, look at all the girls..." Alex was glancing at the lake. "They just get better and better each year!"

The other three rolled their eyes. "Now that we have all our food, why don't we take a walk around the lake?" Kahla suggested.

"Yeah, great idea!" Gail agreed. So as they ate, they strolled along the edge of the forest and lake, with Natalie walking in the water, Kahla walking next to the trees, Alex looking at girls, and Gail making a breeze blow through her hair. None of them noticed someone looking at them from the other side of the lake.

"Well, well, well, lookie there. My dear Gail and her team have finally shown up. We should go welcome them." Jake pulled his hood back and grinned at his teammates. "It's gotta be better than hanging around these other loser wannabe elementalists. We could flatten them all with just a twitch of our little finger."

(Okay, I will post as soon as I figure out what's going on. mrgreen Oh, and one other thing: I was kinda hoping Keilana's group would be all-girl, but if someone would really like to have a boy in that group, it's fine.)
PostPosted: Fri Jul 28, 2006 10:22 am

Keilana pushed her way through the crowd of young elementalists gathering in the mansion. She could barely wait to see the master of water. Though she didn't even know his name, she felt a warm, fatherly bond with the old man. "Master Elder!" She called out, spotting him. He turned in her direction, and she could see the familiar features of his withered face. His long, silken white hair cascaded down from his head, blending with his knee-length beard. He was thin and crooked, but moved with the fluidity of liquid.

"Ah, Miss Liliakanani, how nice it is to hear your voice." He gazed up at her with his clouded, milky blue eyes, the eyes of a blind man. "You sound as beautiful as ever. And where is Elle?"

"Right here, Monsieur Elder," Elle said. She was feeling rather impatient at the moment, the forest near the mansion was calling her name and she was eager to respond.

Lee Roy lounged on boulder, studying himself in a pocket mirror. "Yo, what's with you and always having to be so violent? If we go over there and get up all in their faces, you know what could happen to my fro? All we gotta do is go up to the girls, and woo them with our good looks and charm." He cast a glance over at Jake. "Well I don't know about good looks, Jake. But it don't hurt to try, dawg." He laughed.

Takeo sat in front of the blazing bonfire, completely oblivious to the world around him. He stared into the flames, unblinking, a glazed look on his face. Then his eyes seemed to light up with a faint crimson glow. If you looked closely at the blaze you could see a dragon curling about the wood and lick with it's fiery tongue at burning wood. It's head lolled from side to side wildly, it's tail crackling as whipped about in the flames. Then, a dim outline of a a pair of tigers could be seen, and they clawed at the crumbling wood and joined the dragon in a wild and blazing dance. However, the dragon and tigers suddenly vanished as someone tapped on Takeo's shoulder, and so did the color in his eyes. The fire elemental turned to see Arnold standing with two plates of food.

"I thought you might be hungry, so I got you some food," Said Arnold, handing his leader one of the plates.

"Thank you, Arnold," said Takeo as he he took the plate and went back to staring into the fire and slowly taking bites of chicken shish-kebab he had on his plate.

Arnold sat nearby on the beach. He idly created a few miniature rock peacks out of the sand as he muched. "I wonder where shadow is?" he muttered to himself.

Yenne rushed up to join Keilana and Elle. "I apoligize for my lateness Master Elder," she said, bowing. She had previously been using her wind element to soar over the lake, but she quickly lost her group and had some trouble finding them again.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 30, 2006 7:00 pm

Shadow took a nose dive and pulled up right before she plowed into Arnold and hovered over him, waiting for him to look up. She wanted so badly to laugh, but as always, composed herself into a straight face.

Fera glared at Lee Roy with faint disgust. "Woo? Woo? Since when do you use the word 'woo'? God. You both have the wrong idea. They'd never fall for you, and the Eldars are here. We can't start a fight. But if no-one knows it's us, we can get them a little.... hot under the collar." A demented smile crept over Fera's smug face as she said this last thing.

Sulasa smiled at Elle's impatients as she bowed to the Elder. "Master Elder.... how nice to see you again. I love this place.... will you please excuse me? I'm afraid I'm very eager to say hello to Mistress Elder of fire, I see her just over there....."

(I have a water element in the closet if no-one else joins the rp, but I think I should wait for like... maybe a week or something? What do you think?)

(That'd be great, Star! Could you be the last one in Jake's group? He needs one more boy. Is that okay? sweatdrop )

Jake rolled his eyes at Lee Roy, but smiled a little. "I like how you think, Fera. But first I wanna go say hi to Gail. You three coming?"

Alex was glancing around at the other groups when his eyes alighted on Sulasa, standing next to the house with Mistress Elder of Fire. "Wow! Who's that?" He had turned backwards though, and tripped, almost falling over.

Natalie caught him. "Careful there, Romeo." She helped him up. "You gotta watch where you're going."

Kahla scanned the girl quickly. "She looks a little older than us, I'd guess eighteen. Seems like a nice person by the way her face is when she's talking. Probably a fire elemental, she's talking to Mistress Elder of Fire."

The other three grinned, used to Kahla's intelligent deductive skills, but still always amazed by them. "Sounds like your kind of girl, Alex," Gail said, snickering a bit. The other two giggled as well when Alex narrowed his eyes at them.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Haven't you guys noticed by now? All girls are my kinda girl." The other three burst out laughing, mostly because it was true. "And anyways, what about you girls? I bet there's gotta be some guys that you've been checking out."

"Not me," Gail said, shaking her head. "I'm playing with the wind."

"Me neither, I'm talking with the trees." Kahla shook her head too.

Natalie giggled. "I am." The other girls looked at her. "What? There's no law against it."

Alex high-fived her. "Yeah, exactly!"

"Well, anyway, I wanna go swimming." Natalie slipped out of her clothes and shoes and left them in a pile on the sand. She dove into the lake and swam farther and farther toward the middle, waving to her group.

They waved back, and Gail picked up Natalie's clothes. She flew back to the house and set the clothes on a table where other swimmers' clothes were, then flew back to the other two. The three continued walking and watching Natalie.

(Whoa, before I post, could someone please put up a list of all the characters in the groups they're in? I am having a hard time remembering everyone's name, which makes it even more difficult to remember what teams they're on, which makes it nearly impossible to post! xp So yeah, that would be greatly appreciated.)

(Cool picture! Though the girl's butt looks oddly flat...)

Master Elder of Water smiled knowingly in the direction of Yenene. "Ah Yenene, never in one place for very long, but always respectful nonetheless." He then greeted Sulasa. "I am happy to hear you again, young Sulasa. I'm sure Mistress Elder of Fire will be overjoyed as well. Run along, run along." He reched out his feeble arm and patted each girl fondly on their heads, Keilana having to stoop down so he could reach.

"Thank you, Master," Keilana said sweetly. the old man's lovable antics always had a place in her heart. "I hope to speak to you again soon." She cast an urging glare over to Elle, who was looking in the direction of the forest and tapping her foot. She nodded for her to say something to the elder.

Elle, realizing Keilana's intentions, quickly snapped her attention back to the conversation. "Oh, of course, Monsieur. You know I am always happy to see you!" Her comment was sincere, but Elle was never one to put her sympathies before her anitcipation. "Now can I go out?" she whispered through clenched teach to Keilana.

Keilana heaved a sigh. "Oh fine, Elle. Let's go. Goodbye Master Elder!"

With a shriek of excitement, Elle grabbed ahold of Keilana's arm and dragged her outside. "Are you coming too, Yenene?" she called back.

"Whatever. There aint nothin better to do." Lee-Roy got up, checking his appearance one last time in the mirror. "Sweet. No girl can resist me now!"

Meanwhile, across the lake by a bonfire, Tristan sat on the sand. He had on a pair of tan shorts instead of his usual jeans, so he could put his feet in the cool water. As he chewed thoughfully on his hamburger, he heard his teammate Shadow crash into Arnold and looked over. "Hey, there she is, Arnold!" He laughed. "Hey, I've been watching all the other groups, and they all seem to be doing something. We're just kinda...sitting around. I know this isn't the most social team, but do you guys wanna...I dunno...have some fun or something?"

Yenene nodded at the Water Elder. "Thank you, Master Elder," she said before turning to her comrades. "Of course I will go with you, but the corn looks very delicious, so I think I will get some first." Then, with a gust of wind, she rose and soared away above the crowd.

Arnold looked and saw Shadow, stumbling back into the sand. Composing himself he looked over at Tristan. "Well, I don't know," he said, rather stupidly. "He called over to Takeo. "Hey, Takeo! What do you want to do?"

Takeo looked up. "We should go meet up with Keilana Liliakanani's group," He said. As he stood and walked to the rest of his team. Slowly he drew a flicker of flame from the bonfire, enclosing it in his fist.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 27, 2006 6:21 pm

Fera just stood up and said, "Yeah, sure. Don't know why you want to, but I'll trust it's not that you like her," she gave him an acid stare, ignoring Lee-Roy's bragging for the moment.

Marino walked up and touched Lee-Roy on the shoulder to get his attention. He gave him a look that said, 'What mischief are we up to now?' and put his hands up in a dramatic gesture.

"Thank you, Master Elder," Sulasa said fondly and ran up to Mistress Elder of Fire and curstied, "Hello, Mistress Fire! I'm so exited to see you.... I finally mastered my fire balls because of the advice you gave me last year!"

Shadow gave a Tristan a quick, 'hey, what was that for look', and landed next to Arnold. "He's right, I'm here," she smiled. "But what exactly do you want to do for fun? I've been flying around." When Takeo started moving, she followed, gliding above the ground, glad to be able to fly casually in front of people.

Jake laughed. "Come on Fera, you know I've liked her ever since we were in training. The problem has been getting her to admit her feelings for me. And I'm sure Lee-Roy likes showing off for Kahla. I bet he'd show off for Gail and Natalie too, except that Gail's mine and Natalie finds it very easy to ignore him." He smirked. "It's a bit harder for poor Kahla, though. I don't know why you don't like Alex, Fera. Unless you do, of course. And what about you, Marino? D'you like Natalie?" He waved his hand for the other three to follow as he walked toward the lake's shore. Once all were there, he only had to concentrate a little to make the wind lift his group into the air and fly them above the lake to the opposite side where Gail and her group was.

"Aw no." Natalie swam quickly back to her friends, using the water to speed her progress even more. She got onto the shore and with a wave of her hand, levitated the water droplets off of herself and let them plop back into the lake. Now dry, she ran back to her friends who were a bit surprised to see her out of the water so soon.

"What's wrong?" asked Gail, using a breeze to get Natalie's clothes from the table without having to fly.

"Was it a monster? Did it have big teeth and a hundred eyes?" Alex asked, snickering.

"No, worse," Natalie said, shaking her head. "Don't stare or anything, but Jake's coming. Along with his team."

They simultaneously groaned. "What are we gonna do? No offense to Lee-Roy or anything, but he's not really my type, and he's always showing off..." Kahla frowned.

The other three looked at her like she was crazy. "No offense? Kahla, you're too nice! And besides, Lee-Roy will show off to any female within a 50 foot radius. Farther, if at all possible." Natalie rolled her eyes.

"But back to: What the heck are we gonna do?" Alex interrupted. They looked to Gail.

"Umm... I don't think there's much of anything we can do without looking conspicuous," Gail said.

"Does being conspicuous really matter?" asked Alex.

"We don't want to be mean," replied Kahla.

"We're talking about Jake's team here. Do you think they care if they're mean?" Natalie said.

"No, but we don't want to be like them, do we?" Gail smiled as they frowned. "Wait, I've got it! Let's hurry back to the food table! It'll look like we were hungry or had a craving for something. From there we can mingle, so it'll be harder for them to get to us!"

They grinned. "No wonder you're leader, Gail. You're an evil genius!" Alex said. They all laughed and raced back to the food table, panting slightly once they reached there. They took a few bottled drinks and walked among the groups, looking for people to talk to as they drank.

Jake frowned. "Where are they going?" he said to himself. Just as his group had been nearing Gail's, they ran off. "Must've gotten hungry." He changed the wind's direction to carry himself and his teammates to the food table area.

"Okay, Yenene," Keilana said as her teammate flew away.

Elle, not even hesitating in her march towards the forest, continued to drag Keilana along. "She can catch up with us later!" She said determinedly.

Lee-Roy smiled confidently at Marino and nodded his head insinuatively. "Uh huh, we gonna go and get ourselves some chicks." He heard Jake say his name and mention Kahla, and his mind immediately flashed to the earth elementalist. "Man, that girl is fine! All the girls here are! Who says these ultra-studdly rock powers are only good for crushing stuff? They're the ultimate chick magnet, baby! Well, after my 'fro, of course..." Lee-Roy went on and on as he was being transported across the lake by Jake, barely taking notice that he was floating in mid-air.

Tristan stood up and folowed Takeo, curious as to why he had suggested visiting Keilana's group. The girls in that group seemed nice enough, but he barely knew them. Personally, he would have prefered to see Gail.

Arnold took one last huge bite of of the spaghetti he had on his tray, pratically shoving his entire plate in his mouth. The earth elementalist really loved food, and didn't want to waste anything, and didn't, as there was only a few stray noodles left on his platter. He chewed thoroughly, taking a large gulp as the mass glob of pasta and meat sauce slid down his his throat. He got up form the ground, wiped sauce from his lips and strode up beside Tristan. Seeing the confused look on his face he quietly stifled a belch and explained, "If you're wondering why were going to see that group, I think Takeo kinda fancies the Native American wind elementalist on that team. I think her name is Neyeye. No its, Yeneye. Wait, maybe her name's Neneya...". He began to mumble to himself, trying to figure out Yenene's real name.

Yenene spotted Gail and her team as she munched on her corn. "Hello, Gail, Kahla, Alex, and Natalie. I thought you already ate," she asked.

Takeo spotted Yenene and a smile came to his rigid face. *What a beautiful spirit* he thought wistfully, as he looked upon the girl as she greeted Gail and her friends. Then, Takeo caught sight of Jake and his group, heading in the same direction he was. Instintively, the small flame kept in his palm flared up, enveloping his fist and roaring around his wrist. Takeo didn't even flinch as his knuckles sweltered and turned pale from the intense heat. "It's them," he muttered. He took a deep breath, and the flames around his hands died down. He tucked a stray wisp of coarse black hair behind his ear and quickened his stride towards the crowd.
