The stars above are lovely
but only from afar
My hands were simply not designed
for reaching for a star
I reached and grabbed, not knowing
but when I got too near
The little star was all aflame
my hand he wished to sear
And though I cried and begged the star
to please remove his flame
He simply did not listen
and his fire remained the same
And so I have to stay away
and stare at him above
He the lovely little star
for whom I'll always love

It's lovely, kit'. I love the simple things, like a star. People seem to try too hard, and lose perspective, but this really is great. (:

Since my mind has been on the rather decidedly one track of Bleach, I'm thinking 'Abarai Renji and his aspirations to beat Kuchiki-taichou'.
Now that I've written that though, my mind has decided that it's pretty by itself, and that it likes it for it's simple structure and how at first reading it looks like an innocent nursery rhyme that on second reading is much, much darker.
