Alright everyone...How did you first get started into the groups you all are in?
I got started in Dagorhir when I was at lunch back when I was in high school. I had a few guy friends I ate with and I was a little overly fond of hitting them. They got a little fed up with it and asked me if I liked hitting people. My responce was, of corse, yes. They gave me information on a Dagorhir practice in my area and I went. Immediatly Erekose took me asside and taught me the rules. I immedatly fell in love with the friendly people allong with the sport itself. That was 4 years ago. I've had a wonderful time since then.

Now SimTerra is another story. I went to Europe when I was in high school with a group of strangers from different schools in the Northern part of VA. While I was there I met a girl named Chi. I liked her and thought she was one of the most beautiful fun girls ever. However, we grew more and more distant after the trip was over. Strangely enough, after highschool we ended up going to the same college. She started talking about a LARP she was staff for. I was amused by the stories, but never was interested enough to go. One weekend she asked me if I wanted to go and I said "Why not" Made up a character on the fly, pulled together an outfit and went. It was a blast.

What are you guy's stories?

so yeah, in highschool, one of my friends, waylander, was involved in dagohir. So one day I went with him to a practice. then it was about a month later and I went to a second practice with a few more friends. I found it really funny cause waylander kept getting hit in the nuts. I mean, real funny. Some one threw a jav a foot and a half above his crotch and he still manage to get hit in the nuts, funny stuff.

but anyway. It was about a year and a fourth later when I really started. I was at school and thorn comes to my door and starts begging me to fight, so I go out and fight her. I only planned on doing it till she found other people. After a couple practices my other friend Rainson, may he rest in peace, joined us and a few other people. The thing is now that they were there I found myself keep coming back.

back when i first started i was really into martial arts, and a budy of mine and me were trying to figure out a way to make weapons we could spar with, and actually hit each other, like full contact. well in my internet searching i came accross some of the boffer and larp stuff. i thought that looked pretty interesting, so i started looking for one in the area. the dominion was a good two hour drive, so i started my own relm. fought for a few months with a large sheild and a red. then i took up my samurai persona, and got a bit more serious.

got really productive during the fall and winter and really began my armor, then started fighting everyweekend with dominion after work, despite the drive.

gas money keeps me out of it alot now, i'm hoping that if i'm super lucky i can find someone to spar with regularly at school this fall.

man i'd love to be able to get some good sparring in everyday.

Well, I am a fan of a White Wolf game called Changeling, but never could find a group. Changeling, though a very good game, wasn't that popular. One day, I looked at the board at the local gaming store and found a paper for a Changeling LARP. Figuring any game was better than none, I squealed and took the little paper and e-mailed the ST.

Now, I am not much of a tabletop'er anymore... Forums and larps is what I do.
