i remember this sort of thread on other therian forums i've been on, it's always been amusing to me.
apparently, little kids, like toddlers until about 10 or so, can sometimes 'see' our trueselves. there have been countless cases of small children accidently seeing us and yelling out odd things..
one that comes to mind is the story of a werecat who was working at a grocery store and a father and her little one came by and the girl noticed the kid staring at her the whole time. when they were going to leave the kid waved and yelled out "bye kitty" or something similar, and the parent corrected them "no that's a lady, say 'bye lady'." but the kid was addament about it saying "no, she's a kitty!" then the parent hurried out apologizing to the girl.
now, i've never had this happen to me, and since the most of us are younger then the general members of the forum that was talking about this, i'll doubt too many of us have stories (however if you do, please share them!)
but i doubt we'd have stories, and since i titled this thread generally 'little kids' the topic can be anything dealing with the little monsters.
personally, i find it only natural to me to think of kids as kittens, being a werecat, and so sometimes i end up thinking to doing things that wouldn't be good for a human kid but would work for a kitten.. ^^; like trying to swat their ears or something.. >>; which doesn't work exactly. also, i call them kittens in my head sometimes.

Little kids like me, but my friggen sister always grabs them away from me >< If I'm on my period, I can't deal with kids and be sincerely happy. I suck at faking happy when I have killer cramps... *cough* BACK TO THE SUBJECT >>; I can deal with kids, I find them rather amusing. Like little kids are so attention needy, as if they get none at home.
There's my two cents. *slaps two pennies on the table*

I've had a different perspective on little kids ever since my family gave birth to tons of cousins. My whole life changed when they were born and I have respect for them as human beings, but it really doesn't go beyond that. I can't stand them otherwise.
Anyway, Kit, I think stories like that are so because little kids tend to bear more psionic powers as it hasn't left them completely yet before they learned to use it.

I like some little kids. Others, I can't stand. I kind of try to let every child speak for itself and try not to generalize.
I do like them in general, though. I liked them enough to work as a camp counciler all summer 2 summers in a row. I would have kept it up, but I moved and the camps around me now are all fairly lame. : P Oh well.
That was a tangent... Hm. I'm going to cease my rambling now.

Five year old boys are hellspawn. Quite possibly the most violent and disgusting creatures on this planet.
Girls generally aren't a problem, though there are exceptions. And once boys grow out of their potty-mouth-attack-everyone- stage, they are generally lots of fun too.
Babies intimidate me, though. sweatdrop

I hate children, to say the least. They just... bug me. >__> They stare at me. A lot. They just.. stare. With their buggy eyes. T__T Creeps me out. Whenever I'm near a toddler/kid, doesn't matter who else is around, they usually stare at me. Ugh.

Idina: hehe, i've got loads of cousins as well, mostly all boys ><; and yea, i've heard lots of theories on why exactly the little kids do that, but the general agreement is that they are more open to their abilities and haven't repressed them.
Aven: lol, they are attention needy, most of them.
AtavisticDevilry: you were a camp counsler? cute, i'd love to do that.. but there's no actual /camps/ anywhere anymore.. none with lakes and campouts and the whole deal. heh.
Serra: aww, *pats* i like babies.. they're always so fasinated with everything and it's cute.
Kii: :3 they wub yuuu~ that tends to happen to a lot of 'kin, as i've heard, that little kids will just stare at you, no matter what you do.

i've had kids point out my wings to their parents before...in church no less...so the first reaction of the parents was usually to smile and a couple mentioned something about an angel...i laughed and told the kids to tell their parents what my wings actually looked like...
"big n spiky dragon wings!!" was what the kids tended to describe...which is pretty accurate. the parents tended to pale a bit after that and rush the kids off.
hahaha. i dont like littleuns too much though. waaay too much energy...its overwhelming.

One kid I was babysitting drew a "portrait" of me- as you might guess, it included more than my otherwise visible features. and not just my wings, but he drew my hands as the talons of an eagle.

Tropical Kiwi ... You guys are making me want to scope out some child and ask them what I look like or if they could draw me. :'3 This all sounds so amusing. I agree. I wonder if my cousins see anything in me? An aunt and uncle and mine currently have two babies so when they're a little older I'll talk to them. By the way Kit, do your cousins also like to walk around with no pants of any under or over sort?

I want to go ask my friend's brother, but I just know he'll tell other people. He always looks at me as if I'm a freak. Not others, just me. -.-

Kids tend to like me. I like kids. They're cute. <3 And.. Eh.. I'unno if I've actually had an encounter like that. I don't really notice if kids stare at me.. Wait yes I do.. Especially little kids in the grocery store.. They'll wander away from their parent/s and stare at me.. o.O; Yea. <3

.Love.Idina. By the way Kit, do your cousins also like to walk around with no pants of any under or over sort? my older brother walks around in his boxers ALL the time.. and most of my cousins will walk around and outside in boxers and usually nothing else, but i think my grandmother would have a fit if they walked around with even less on.
i, myself, haven't had much more then the constant staring, although i tend to like babies (ask my friends, they'll tell you i stop for babies to play with them X3). only one kid ever drew a picture of me and althought she drew me with cat ears, she also knew i liked them and i don't know the reason for her drawing them, if it was because she 'saw' them or not.

My therian animal is a wolf. Not very large, but I can't look at small children. One time I was watching the score for a stupid game my friends had made up, and this six year old girl was standing next to me watching. So I looked down at her, and asked her what the score was. She ran off absoloutely terrified, screaming "THE BIG DOGGIE LOOKED RIGHT AT ME! IT WAS SCARY MRS. LUNA!"
I fealt terrible afterwards. D:
