I saw this coming, but I didn't think that you actually would do it, so it's still kind of a shock. Pesh will be a great captain, but a very poor Karyiann. A more active captain will make this guild a better place only if members are more active. Maybe having less responsibilities will allow you to post more, since you'll have less the worry about. So many people including me wouldn't of been in this guild if you hadn't made it and you've put so much time and effort into this guild. You'll still always be a part of this guild, even if you decide to quit Gaia someday. So please don't feel bad about resigning as Captain if you are.

There is nothing wrong with posting here. I think it's good to hear others opinions about things like this. I'm not going to try and be Karyiann. Even though we agree on many issues I will run the guild a little differently. There will be times when I won't be able to be around as much as I would like, (finals are coming up ^^; ), but I still want to be an active participant in the guild. I will do my best to keep the guild as Karyiann had intended it to be, but I also have some ideas of my own as to how I would like things to be, and as to how I could make paradise a little better. Karyiann has been a great leader of the guild, and I'm glad that she brought me along from the last guild we were in together. I will never be able to replace her, I can only try to be a good guild leader. I look foreward to being your guild captain and hope that I can help make Comfort Paradise a fun that everyone will still be able to enjoy.

I don't expect Peshie to BE me. I know she has a lot of fresh ideas and that's what the guild needs. I'm totally fresh out of ideas, which is why after seeing so much Peshie has done for the guild, I figured it was time for a fresh face to do things around here. I know Pesh will be a fantastic captain. smile
Peshie - feel free to do whatever you want to do to the guild to make it better. I don't expect it to stay the same at all. I am hopeful that you can make things far better.
As far as leaving - well I'm not completely leaving Gaia just yet. Pesh said the same thing you did Valdata in a private message to me yesterday, that perhaps not feeling like I need to do more or being under pressure to do more things will allow me to enjoy it once again. I'm willing to give it a try. If it turns out that I don't find myself enjoying things then I'll take my leave, but I'm more than willing to give it a bit of time to see how it goes. smile

Well I don't post here very often and I'm not as close with all of you as I'd like to be, so this was a bit unexpected.
Kary, I'm sorry you aren't enjoying Gaia anymore and that you felt you had resign. You did an excellent job as Captain here and you will be missed if you decide to leave.
Pesh was an excellent choice for Captain. She has tried very hard to get more activities going to increase participation for the members. I know I post here more because of it. Also, I'm a mod in two guilds so I know how hard it can be to come up with ideas for things to do in guild to keep up member participation. (I've actually "borrowed" some ideas for threads and games from here to use in one of my guilds redface )
Congrats Peshie! I know you'll do an excellent job. 3nodding

Kary will definately be missed as Captian, but I'm excited that Pesh is the new captian. I just hope she dosn't make the current Crew Members walk the plank. blaugh
