As the opening credits come on and Katara starts talking ("Water, Earth, Fire, Air"), if you look really closely at the 4 people they are actually characters from the episodes.
Water is Master Paku
Earth The Boulder (until proven otherwise)
Fire is Zula
Air looks like an older version of Aang
Has anyone else noticed this? Or you did and it was glaringly obvious and I'm just now figuring it out.. sweatdrop

I don't know. It looks like the person had a beard, but its kinda hard to tell since its dark.

Y'know the waterbender always looked sorta female..
Fire was Azula.. DUH!
In other news, did you know that the avatar cyle is the seasons?
To quote Iroh...:

i think the earthbender is The Boulder. only maybe a little younger n a little less jacked.
n yes those seasons do match up w/ the 4 nations. i remeber someone saying that the seasons were 'created' to keep balance between the 4 nations, so no 1 could become stonger than another

Air is one of the head monks at the temple that was very close to Aang.

i really think that anng is going to go through some time thing so he could learn the elements and get older you know? like dragon ballz there was that time place that could go through years even though its only been one day? quotes from avatar roku " It takes years for the avatar to master all four elements"

At first I thought all those people were the ones that taught Aang how to bend each element but after I saw that it was Azula I was like nevermind..
