Please refer to this outline if you want any subject to RP about and you do not feel like interacting. I implore that you RP often and will even reward frequent RP sessions - even if it isn't sanctioned by me. Remember, minor missions can be done without my permission.

On Duty Outline

The typical duties of an MP include, in the majority, but are not limited to, those detailed below.

1) Patrol
1a. On foot
Patrol on foot is usually undertaken in pairs or singly. It involves walking through a designated area, generally part of a sector, for a given amont of time and attending to any further duties that may arrise during that time. Typically, this includes dealing with low level crimes*, see subsections 1d and 1e for further information.

1b. By Car
Patrol by car will usually be undertaken by two to four MPs per vehicle. The designated area of each vehicle will be wide, but will tend to remain in proximity to a given road or path. During patrol, you must thoroughly check the area for incursions or any monsters that have strayed close enough to cause problems for passing travlers. In addition, you are to provide assistance to any travellers in dire need of it. The MP vehicle garage is on the ground floor.

1c. By Motorbike
Patrol by motorbike will include all resposibilities designated in subsection
1c (a). Bike mounted MPs are to accompany patrol cars and provide support.

1d. Arresting and charging criminal suspects
This comes as part of patrol but is not exclusive to it. While on patrol you may be alerted to an incident via your COMMLINK. During the course of investigation of a low level crime*, you are permited to arrest and charge any criminal suspects that you deem fit to. If you require assistance in this, you may call in backup**. Alternatively, you may be called upon to seek out and arrest a specific person. This person will generally be wanted in connection with a mid to high-level crime, consequently you are not to undertake these arrests on your own.

1e. Interviewing witnesses, victims and suspects in the course of investigating low level crimes*
If you encounter any low level crimes* during your patrol, you must investigate them and make arrests appropriately. Investigation is not needed if you have personally witnessed the crime. You may collect evidence from the scene as well. It is not neccesary to record the interveiws, however you may be asked to make a statement at a later date. You will have to fill out an arrest report.

2) Guard duty
2a. Assisting with supervision and management of confinement and detention operations.
This will involve reporting in to a detention facility*** where you will be assigned a specific task. These will range from guard of a group/single prisoner, to manning a guard post. In the event of a breakout alert, orders will be automatically sent to your helmet. If you witness a breakout you must alert everyone by pressing one of the alarm buttons, mounted on the walls at regular intervals. You must not leave until you are relieved.

2b.Guarding a place/building/gate
Your orders will specify where to report to, and will detail the level of guarding required (for example; Not alloing anyone to enter through a gate, preventing those with insufficient clearance to enter.) Again, you are not permitted to leave until relieved.

3) Escort
3a. Of criminal suspects
This is typically done during the movement of prisoners. Vehicles will be used usually, however you may be escorting a single prisoner to a hearing or other such court appearance. You may be asked to escort a single suspect, or a group, though you must never do so without the support of at least one other MP. You are to prevent any serious harm to the prisoners, though above all prevent any escape.

3b. Of High ranking ShinRa personel
ShinRa exectutives of a certain level may request an escort when leaving ShinRa premises. ShinRa employees of higher levels can request larger escorts than those of lower levels, so you may be the only MP present. You are to prevent any harm befalling your charge by every means within your power. You are also to follow the orders of the ShinRa personel until such time that you are relieved by them, or someone of higher rank. Only those of rank e2 or higher can undertake an escort of this type. Escort can be of a long distance nature in some cases.

3c. Of certain ShinRa shipments
Certain ShinRa shipments of a certain level of value may require escort. This can range from resource shipments in lorrys, accompanied by MPs in cars and/or on bikes, to heavy weaponry transportation, escorted by an assortment of Alpha, Bravo and Echo units and vehicles. Again, all escort of this nature can only be undertaken by those of rank e2 or above.

4) Conducting traffic/crowd control
This does not take place often. It will only be required of you if an event occurs that requires control. Such events will most likely take place due to a build up of stress or as part of some sort of protest. Riot gear will be used in most cases, and many MPs will be involved.

5) Maintaining records
After certain duties, you will be required to fill in a degree of paperwork. You will be sent all paperwork and it is mostly self explanitory. You must complete this and hand it in within a week of recieving it, so we may keep our databases up to date.

6) General drills
All MPs are required to attend general drills once a month. These will take place on a small military base just outside of Midgar, and you will be taken there by car. MPs of rank e3 or higher will take command of drill sessions for each arbitrary group, decided on the day. Additional training for each unit type will take place during the second half of the day, with the first involving the general drill in mixed groups. Faliure to attend will result in pay cuts and repeated faliure to attend may result in demotion and/or court marshalling.

*Note - these tasks require a unit to serve as an NPC user as well as their own character. Do not puppet these characters to your own favor, and do not do anything drastic lest I (The master of this RP) tells you to do so.

**Note - these tasks require other people from the RP. Please keep this RP team related and help new recruits on their way up the ranking by doing frequent unsanctioned missions.

***Note - Please keep note of your location

Notice: Please keep RP activity frequent. Any RP activity that is less than the expected rate shall recieve heavy reprimendation and shall suffer the consequences through demotions and then banning.
