One of my friends told me that Miyavi is a quarter Korean and I was kinda shocked and didn't believe her... but is he really a quarter Korean? or is he just purely Japanese? That'd be cool if he were a quarter Korean though cuz I am too biggrin

I was shocked at first when I heard that too. But there are a large number of Koreans living in Japan. It also would explain his height, facial structure and nose.
I don't remember where I read it (it might have been posted here) but Meev had no idea he was partly Korean either until recently.

Yup, he is half Korean, i think on his Father's side or something! because he mentioned it somewhere, but he was joking..BUT he is half korean! ^^

He mentioned it in an article in ROCK AND READ magazine last fall. He was having an interview with this other Korean guy and he briefly mentioned how he found out his father was from Jejudo island that is currently in the possession of South Korea and is "Kankokujin" but more than likely naturalized to Japanese citizenship (he wasn't sure at the time).
