~Guild Rules and Layout~~Post 1 - Guild Rules~ What Gets You Banned
1. ToS, fool!
2. All subforums have their own rules. Follow the rules of the forum you're in. This includes posting in the correct forum. The subforums have stricter posting guidelines than the main forum. See below for descriptions of the various subforums.
3. Respect ye olde crew. Captains and mods have the final say. When the final say is said, arguing is useless.
4. Respect your fellow Tea-partiers. Downright cruelty will not be tolerated.
Members who don't follow the ToS may be banned immediately, depending on the offense. The other rules are less strictly enforced but enforced nonetheless. Once or twice may merit a warning but repeat offenders will be booted. More rules may be added as needed so be sure to check in from time to time. A more complete explanation of the rules and the ways in which they are enforced can be found here.
~Introduction~
This thread is your guide to the different forums of The Mad Tea Party guild. Though there are quite a few posts here, there's no need to feel overwhelmed. It's all rather simple. 3nodding Each forum has its own set of rules that you can find among the stickies. This thread is here to give you a general idea of the functions of each forum and some posting guidelines so you know what goes where. Use the following key to find the information you're looking for: Post 1 - Rules and Thread IntroductionPost 2 - Main ForumPost 3 - Recycle BinPost 4 - Guild ProjectsPost 5 - Guild ResourcesPost 6 - Misc. forum informationEach post contains:-> A short explanation of the forum in question. Random babbling that you don't really need to read. -> A few guidelines for posting. Guidelines, as opposed to rules, aren't strictly enforced and can be broken rather liberally. Feel free to just use common sense. -> A short explanation of the forum's stickies.

~Post 2 - The Main Forum~
The main forum, titled "We're all mad here.", is not unlike a spam-free Chatterbox in its functions, having far less rules and restrictions in posting that the other forums. It is a place to post threads about anything and everything, whether related to Alice or not, though wacky and/or Alice-related threads are highly, highly encouraged. No one knows why this Alice guild encourages these sort of threads in its main forum. The reason is the best-kept secret since the Massacre of 189 B.C.
In any case, there are some rules and guidelines for posting (mostly, don't do spam, do do discussion-encouraging threads). Here they are:
~Posting Guidelines~
-> Spam tastes bad. Don't do it. Or else we'll glare at you. For examples of what counts as spam, see Examples of Unacceptable Threads. -> Avoid making the same exact thread as someone else. Change a word or two. -> Making your own game/movie threads instead of posting in the official-type game/movie threads is acceptable, but not nice: please post in the semi-official version, so they don't die. *puppy eyes* ->Although random and pointless threads are entirely acceptable here, Alice-tinged randomness and pointlessness are encouraged. This is a Wonderland guild, after all. ^^ See below for examples of acceptable and unacceptable threads...
~Examples of Acceptable Threads~ -> What do you think of my poem/prose/picture? -> Look at this awesome Alice handbag I found on E-bay! ->It's my birthday today! ->It's my unbirthday today! ->Who do you like more, the Mad Hatter or the Cheshire Cat? ->I just finished reading 'Looking Glass Wars'! Interesting book... ->Let's play an Alice-themed word game! ->Hey, look, a riddle thread! ->Is anyone here...? ->Conspiracy theories on the Captains! They're actually chinchillas! OMG! ->Does someone have any good recipes for egg salads?
These sort of threads are perfectly acceptable. 3nodding
~Examples of Unacceptable Threads~ x Bump till you drop! x Girls in cages, boy come take your pick! x I think white people suck, they should all go kill themselves x Come in! I have pictures of my cleavage! x 1000 Question Quiz for Gold! x Anyone got some porn? x Minorities are idiots! x Majorities are idiots! x Organized religions are idiots! x Atheists are idiots! x omg hot butt smecs NOQW!!!121
Most of the forbidden threads are either spam, ToS-breakers, or just plain old flame-threads. If you post any threads like that anywhere in the guild (including the Main Forum), your thread will be deleted, and there's also a chance you will be banned, too... So don't do it!
NOTE: threads that advertise your avatar in the arena or threads whose purpose expires after a certain period of time will be moved to the Recycle Bin after their purpose has expired. You won't get a PM notifying you of the move, because, well, chances are you won't really care at that point anyways. ^^
ALSO, as an additional note, please don't make threads demanding people to come in and talk to you, or threads asking if there's anyone in the guild, and so on. These threads tend to turn into clutter and take up spots on the front page that could otherwise be occupied by threads with more potential for discussion (and thus more potential for wackiness). Better to make a more Alice-related thread, as you will not only avoid clutter but will also be more likely to get the responses of interested members, hooray!

~Main Forum Stickies and Threads of Much Ilk~
STICKIES Introducing The Captains And Their Crew - There are 2 captains; Kibeth and myself. There are currently three mods. This thread is where we each introduce ourselves in our own little post. If you want to know a little more about the rulers owners and crew that you'll be seeing around, the introduction thread is a good place to go. (This thread is locked to avoid non-crew introducing themselves.)
Member Introductions: Where Members Introduce Themselves - This thread is where you tell us little about yourself. It's a good place to start your regular posting habit. *icy stare*
THREADS WORTH VISITING The Mad Tea Party! - A place to sip pixellated tea and discuss random whatnots. This thread is a kind of chatterbox within the chatterbox. We're hoping to make some improvements on this Tea Party (since it is version 2.o) so the images and layout are all subject to change.
What do you go by? - If you want us to be able to address you in the forums, visit this thread and fill out the little form. Unless you like being addressed by your full username....
Semi-Official Alice Movies Discussion - In this thread, we'll try (and fail) to keep you up-to-date on the progress of the upcoming Alice movie. We'll also keep a list of Alice movies currently in existance (but only if we're able to verify its existance first.) Members are encouraged to use this thread to discuss any Alice in Wonderland movies they've seen or heard of as well as movies and TV shows directly or indirectly related to Alice and/or Wonderland.
Alice Games Semi-Official Discussion Thread - A place to discuss Alice-related games (namely, American McGee's Alice.) This thread also contains links to a few good online strategy guides.
Wonderland Art Thread! - It's pretty self-explanatory. Wonderland art of any kind can be posted here. Original art or art you've found online. Avvies, wallpapers, and other such Alice media.
The Mad Carousel - This is just like the Mad Tea Party only it's a carousel. You can have tea on the carousel, too...or ride a carousel during the tea party..we don't really care. Someday this thread will be snazzy. Not today, though.
Neverending Improvisational Story - It's like being in Spanish class! ...if you did this in Spanish class. Add to our story. See the uninterrupted version in Navi's journal. Feel accomplished.

~Post 3 - Recycle Bin Subforum~
The Recycle Bin subforum is pretty self-explanatory: it's a place that threads not belonging anywhere else can go to mope and feel sorry for themselves. All the threads are locked, and posting there is not allowed (it upsets the resident threads and sometimes they throw nasty fits). You probably won't find this forum interesting, as it isn't, and you'll also want to bring a few handkerchiefs to pass out to the threads if you do decide to visit.

~Post 4 - Guild Projects Subforum~
This Guild Projects subforum is where members can go to discuss and organize ideas for guild-related projects, such as a guild parties and events, fundraisers for a guild charity, a working staff for a guild newsletter, and other such nonsense. If you feel like having a party in Towns, this would be the place to organize the event (you can announce it in the main forum so everyone can see), and if you want to create guild-sponsored avatar contests to promote the guild, this would also be the place to center your headquarters. It's pretty much the headquarters of all the headquarters. Soon our evil plans will be complete!

~Post 5 - Guild Resources Subforum~
The Guild Resources subforum is where you go to find things out. For example, what are the exact rules, for members AND mods? What are the Captains and mods planning next? What graphics can you put in your signature to advertise this guild and hopefully attract more active members? Such fun and games is found in this trusty subforum. It has one rule: don't make threads in this forum! 3nodding
~Posting Guidelines~
Non-crew aren't allowed or even able to post in any of the threads here. It's strictly read-only. There used to be threads on projects and things that you could post in, but we have the Guild Projects subforum for that now, so this has become pure eye candy. Not very tasty candy, though. I think the cook must have burnt the sugar. Oh, and the Historic Threads also go here. They're locked, of course, to preserve their history. You can still look at them, though. Some are quite pretty.
