Eldeon, the planet in which ancient legends sleep, waiting to be awakened. - from iROSE To keep this post from taking several hours to load, I'll post links instead of the actual shots. I'm on dial-up & I know how badly it sucks to try & load a page full of images. And just to be safe rather than sorry - if you don't like "spoilers", don't look at this stuff, don't read this post. lol All of the images are garnered from 7hearts.net, actual screenshots come from kROSE. The info is from 7hearts, & the iROSE homepage. Little information I've learned so far; Eldeon will be the third planet of seven, & looks to be a jungly kind of place. It is inhabited by the Sikuku, which look to be hostile, judging by their spears & scanty clothing. lol Also, you see some birds, & some bug-like beasts (the Hooker ( xd OMGWTFBBQ!!!111one) & the Poison Weaver), & some plants too (the Nepenthes looks to be the Flames mutant older brother). The planet was just released in kROSE, about last week. I'm not sure how long it takes for them to localize a planet, as I don't know when Luna came out in kROSE or remember the launch for iROSE (bad bad memory). Here's some concept art of the actual city: A nice jungle-y picture, w/ a bird & a huge tree in the backround. Pretty generic though. The actual village. You can see a house w/ a clock on it, a fountain, a temple-ish idol thing. Looks like the usual jungle Indian fare.Titled "Sikuku Village". Looks like a big red gate though. You can see some shadowy figures looking down from the guard towers.Well, this looks interesting. A big temple like thing, w/ a lot of walkways. The main one looks broken, & the others are blocked by spikes coming up from the floors. Underneath the walkways is a lot of nasty purple bog-like stuff. Behind it looks like a maze, bad weather. Cool.On to the monsters! If you have a tikiman mask, you just might blend in (haha not). Sikuku Calvery Horses? We don't need no stinking horses. **coughs** This guy has a big scary spear, & the general attire of choosey natives everywhere: lots of feathers, some fur, & some bones.Sikuku Hunter Whoa, this guy's big. He has a nasty looking axe, & the most pathetic shield since the Leki Fighters leaf. He is also using a pig head as a most creative hat.Sikuku Assassin This skinny dude has a little dart shooter, & googly eyes. o.OSikuku Mage Whoa, this guy looks mad. Walrus hat - haha. He seems to have his snake-y staff & hand attached to the cannon-looking thing on his back w/ ropes. Maybe his magic isn't really magic at all?Turak Ooh, this guy looks scary. His gear looks to be made from a dead raptor, & he stole the Predator's hair-do. His weapon is either a staff, or a mace. Many people are speculating this guy is a boss.Nepenthes A big ugly, two-headed (maybe three?) plant. Looks like it might be mobile, unlike flames.Poison Weaver A big spider, sporting leg warmers! XD Very spiney, & purple.Hooker A mantis like thing, w/ some nasty looking hook-like claws. Oh, the many bad jokes told about this thing... lolActual gameplay screenshots (gasp!) (these are all from RPGamer.com): A person wearing a flower outfit & wielding a bamboo spear takes a few swings at a SikukuThis shows a person w/ a cute bao-like green hairstyle, wearing a red suit (possibly a Santa suit), running on a bridge followed by an Elemental wielding an axe(!), but doesn't appear to have a yellow summon circle under it.A high lvl hawker (probably Scout, judging by the bow), standing before a bunch of Sikuku mages & a Hunter. I really hope this doesn't mean this planet is only for super-high lvls. ;.;A Sikuku w/ an axe that looks to be glowing... o.OThe bao girl is here w/ a flower suit & bamboo spear, & is hitting misses on a mob of Sikuku. Same bao girl, hitting a miss on a Sikuku Hunter. You can see some dangling glowing flower things in the backround. It's also nighttime in this pic. A little note about the Sikuku - it seems kind of racist to me, that they're all apparently black, & the enemy on this planet. It'd be different if you could pick different skin tones, & there were some NPCs w/ different ethnicities, but it's not that way. ;.; Anyhow, there it all is. whee

Hopefully it will be good to break the monotany of the icy wasteland.
I personally don't have any trouble killing blacks. Let me rephrase that. I really find little fault with the NPC race of dark-skinned natives. The natives of Luna look like norwegians, the natives of Junon range from crazy gypsies of indetirminable gender to bears(the fact that you are forced to recieve service from bears is proof enough to me that there is little racial bias here xd ) and clowns(keeeeel). Eh, yes, extra skin tones, eye styles and stuff would be nice, but you must remember that the game is still beta.
I do however find it ironic that a korean developed game forces you to play an apparently caucasian PC(though, you know, you can have green hair!).
Because remember, "Moldies who lost their jobs can't adjust. Let's kick their a**."
Oh, and grunters. The game is heavily racist against grunters, hunting them for their axes, gloves, ect.
Erm, I forgot where I was going with that...

I should smack you... I'll save it for later & turn it into a spanking xp
Anyhow, I know Asians are less than sensitive to racism, sad but true. But somehow killing black jungle savages is just a teeeensy too much for me to just pass over. It might not be purposeful racism, but it's still irritating & offensive. And I swear, if they're speaking in ebonics or any less discernable Engrish than the rest of the NPCs, I'll be really irked.
Also, kROSE seems to have the same avatar choices as us, w/ some buyable hair & face choices, & the ever-popular sex change. xd The reason we're all white in-game is because they're obsessed w/ Western culture. As usual, how drole.
And I say Ronk is a tailless beaver still. lol

Drives me nuts. It is a game, and it is there to be played, not judged. Dont like it, dont play it, but dont spoil it. *Waits around for the backlash*

anyway... eek Race issue doesnt bother me, i just think it is some weired and new monsters. I dont care if they are pink blue black white or green...if they give me stuff and exp then i will kill it wink
I really excited about the new planet, i have no idea why because i am not even on luna yet! Guess it just gives me something more to look forward to in the future and more reasons to pay for the game when it comes out.

Im hoping that the fact somebody was using a bamboo spear and wearing no armor means I might see this place soon.

fish_bait Im hoping that the fact somebody was using a bamboo spear and wearing no armor means I might see this place soon. They might just be high lvls with low lvl equip. sweatdrop But there's still the possibility of visiting the place, just wouldn't be able to train very easily. sweatdrop Pretty cool pics, tho.

That's what I think, as the Scout looks to be the same newbie in the flower suit in the first link. Yaaai - it just doesn't make sense to make each new planet w/ a higher lvl requirement than the last - how many lvl 120+ people even play ROSE (I know there's many more on k & jROSE than i though...)?
