Well they all ended up going back, or at least she followed up when Kyris was sent to the infirmary for collapsing. She waited outside her room for when they were fixing her up. Why did she follow her? Why not go to Remiel's side or anyone else's for that matter?

Becase she didn't really know Kyris well. She got to know most of the guys because she either passed out in their pressence, ran into them, had them fall on top of her, or somthing she just couldn't remember. Most of the other women she didn't know.

"Well if its the exit you're looking for, its this way." She smiled, "By now you shold know I'm Locke, Kyris right?"

As she stumbled out into the hallway, Kyris came face to face with what she had assumed had been the CO, back in the slums.

"Locke? Yes, I'm Kyris," normally she would have been suspicious, but after the earlier events she was beyond that for a while. She had said it with a smile. Locke was really the first MP she had met who wasn't drunk. Kyris shuddered at those memories and their implications.

"Actually, I didn't know your name," she admitted, though not in a way that would cause offence. They began to walk towards the exit that Locke had indicated.

"Er..nice to meet you...er..sir..?" She sounded abit uncertain, but she was. Kyris didn't know how to address the woman, and she did not want to cause offence to anybody, that being a sure fire way to a dead end career. After that she couldn't think of anything else though. She was somewhat surprised that Locke was talking to her in the first place.

"Hm.. just call me Locke. No sirs or ma'ams needed for me." She lead the way to the elevator, "Well I just thought I shold get to know you. And now I'm certain, since we weren't even knowing each others names."

She shifted with an uncomfortable feeling at he ankle. She reached down and pulled out the wrapped up needle. "Ah forgot about this damn thing. I wonder who I should take it to?" She wondered aloud.

"Ah yes Remiel," She looked back to Kyris, "I have to take this to him, would you liek to meet up again sometime?" She stepped out of the elevator into the hall before it could close. Then she took off towards the rooms to find him. Its his job class.thing..right?

Soon she just stopped a nurse and asked where Remiel was. When she found the room she noted a shut door, and knocked.

"Yes, ma'am," she replied with an ironic smile. Kyris had hoped to be able to socialise, despite the fact that it was ShinRa and it was good to know that everybody wasn't completely jaded and cruel. Well, you never know, they may be... Her inner skeptic, drilled in as she grew up, was always on hand to provide contradictory thoughts.

"Sure, I'll probably see you around," she said as Locke ran off in search of that boy, she had gathered that that was his name. The doors closed, and Kyris was left alone to dwell on her aching leg. It didn't seem to change no matter how much or little weight she put on it, so she decided to just try and use it normally. She also made a mental note to say that being shot in the leg is not normal.

The lift went down and finally opened with a bing. The MuZAK cut out to Kyris' releif, and she set out in search of her room. She came to it quickly, and found that her card was still in her pocket. It allowed her entry and she stepped forwards.

She was greeted, oddly enough, by a man who looked as if he had been standing to attention for hours. As she entered the room which she distictly remembered leaving LOCKED, the man passed her a letter and looked at her expectantly.

Probably bad news. To warrant a messenger, she was probably being court marshaled for her little stunt. She opened it up and started reading. She was frankly shocked this time around. It appeared as if she had been transfered and promoted. Many things ran through her mind, but one thing was for certain, she was happy for it.

The man cleared his throat, trying to be discrete about it. He motioned with his eyes to the bottom of the page. CO After a few seconds Kyris realised, and replied with a "dismissed". The question mark she left out, but it appeared that it was what the man was waiting for, and he promptly strode past her. The door slid shut behind him, leaving Kyris alone to think things over.

Remiel

I dreamed of Aerith today. I dreamt of he pale flesh molding with mind. I dreamt dirty and I knew exactly why.

I lusted for her...I lusted for Aerith. I knew it was greedy, but I can't imagine what kind of sin it would be for anyone to had lusted over such an Angel...or maybe I had just answered myself with my own thoughts. She was so pure, and here I was, just dreaming of her.

"Scapel..."

They're operating? My eyes slowly came open. The fuzzy vision that came hand in hand with the knockout gas was what illuminated my eyes in such a rainbow of colors. It was...disconcerting to say the least, but I tried to figure out what they were doing.

"Doctor...he's up again."

Damn.

Another blast of gas and I was out again...

-

Hours later, I was put into a hospital bed and was ready for viewing.

They sewed me up good. I was sitting in my bed with chest wraps on me. My eyes were up on the TV, looking at the weather forecast. The girl was pretty...and had fake breasts. What a cheap way to attract male viewers. I changed the channel to the official ShinRa News. There it was, the pictures and videos of the scene. Some unnamed Charlie officers cuffing a few bad guys and even the gruesome and gory scene of that drunk b*****d's grave. His brains was shown everywhere. I turned off the channel...I wanted to sleep...

But every time I try to close my eyes, I just see Aerith and her opened dress.

A knock alerted me to the door.

"Come in."

A visitor...maybe they'd take my mind off of that woman.

Carilla sat in the cafeteria with a bowl of soup in front of her. What a long, long day. She had left the kid in the hands of the medics and then left. They had enough to do, what with the influx of wounded MPs and all, and she didn't have a reason to stay. Although, she was hungry. It was only after everything had calmed down that she realized how long it had been since she had last eaten. It had been...almost an entire day? She could hardly be sure.

She was sweaty, and covered in blood that wasn't her own. She carried the pungent aroma of the slums with her, which probably explained why she was sitting alone in a corner. Oh well. She propped her elbows on the table and leaned on one hand, spooning soup into her mouth with the other. Screw socialization and hygene. This was damn good soup.

She entered upon request and sht the door behind her. "Well, at least I found the right room." She said scratching the back off her head as if she were imbarassed. "Well you got bandaged pretty well huh? I hate these places." She was rambling. Of course one would when they had the feeling the person before them wasn't to fond of them.

She grabed her arm with her hand realizeing she was holding the bundled needle still, and that was the reason for her visit. "Oh hey. I didn't know who else to bring this to so here." She sat it on his bed side table, she waited to see if she was wrong or not. If she was she'd just take it some where else.

Why am I all fidgity dammit! I'm not like this with everone else.

Aaiem was... tired. Or maybe tired wasn't the word for it. Fatigued, maybe. He certainly didn't want to sleep. He didn't want to do anything, really.
On the other hand, he really did want food. After a short, hot shower that at the least managed to work away a bit of the physical tension of the mission, he tossed on his outfit, added his favorite red jacket, and dragged himself to the cafeteria. He got himself a bowl of soup and looked around. It didn't take long for him to locate a fellow MP, looking nearly as worn-out physically as he felt mentally. He walked over to the table and sort of dropped into a chair, a warm smile lighting up a tanned face on which it looked wholly unwelcome. "'Lo, then." The same tinges of warmth as always travelled on his voice, but the tone was lower, his voice almost thin. "Quite a day." A spoonful of soup and the smile seemed to fade around it as it occured to him that the man would never taste anything, not even the almost mythically poor prison diet. He sighed a bit. He didn't know why he had cared at all, given what the man had been about to do. Compassion for human life, he supposed. Wrong career for that. He held up his arm and gave a little wave, the arm itself pockmarked with tiny cuts. "I don't think I got anyone's name aside from Remiel," a slight pause here as he thought about the fact there could've been two bodies involved in the case, "and the CO." No, wait. On second thought, there already had been two bodies, since there was that third girl. Okay, three.
Why was he so focused on the body count?
"Aaiem. Aaiem Shirou." He sank a little lower and began sipping away at his soup, the flavor totally wasted on him, his brain occupied with other things.
Maybe he SHOULD go to sleep.

Remiel

"I thought I was being visited...but I guess my sisters didn't hear about me yet." My eyes fell from her own. It wasn't that I couldn't look at her. It's just...her eyes. Those wolfish eyes reminded me of the time that I had attacked her under the 'guise of an AVALANCHE soldier. "The needle...it's supposed to go to processing - but I can't deliver it at the moment."

I looked up at her. For the first time since the beginning of the mission. She was nervous...I can tell with the way she fidgeted and the way she faltered with her actions. Her own eyes...the wolf eyes were different now too.

"Thank you for delivering it. I do believe I owe the soldiers of your units my gratitude." I would try to get up...but I would be in so much damn pain if I did so. "I'll find some way to pay you all back."

She looked around. All of these damn rooms looked the same to her. She shook her head, needles were scary enough, the fact that she had on in her shoe this whole time was even more frieghtening. But thats just her.

"Well you know, our job is to help people." She petted some of the flowers by his bedside. "You don't owe me a thing. Do what you will for them, they were the ones to get us out of there." She looked up an smiled, "See you around right?" She truned and head for the door.

Remiel

"Wait!" I've never seen her smile. All I saw was her and that other military man fight the renegade samurai from Revolution. I sure as hell wasn't going to let an opportunity for me to actually get to know someone who damn near saved my life from incarceration. "Wait..."

She saved me from embarassment and maybe even death. As an AVALANCHE member, I only saw 'freedom'. With ShinRa, I had seen opportunity...here was an opportunity. But as soon as I reached out to her, I froze. What the hell was I supposed to say in the first place? What the hell was I supposed to do when...ack.

I hated being so shy. I could never socialize with anyone past a 'thank you' or a formal greeting. What a load of crap.

"I...uhm...I..."

Damn. I needed to find a way to repay her somehow.

Perhaps, it was because they were they same age almost? The butterflies infested her stomach almost as his, but besides for her cool attitude, you hardly tell.

I've been around many people before. Guys at school were never this nervous, of course, guys at school were always trying to throw me over a balcony or into a dumpster somewhere. All because of my eyes...of course they probably scare him too.

"Yes?" She stopped and came back over to him. Abandoning thoughts of leaving, as if she had them in the first place.
