Now, I've been dealing with bitchy people who can't deal with the layout and all I've been saying is 'deal with it, they'll change it in like, 2 months'. But, when I logged out and logged back in, I got a crappola of free junk...and I thought "All this for dedicated members?", but then that got me thinking of the new people who joined. So I went on over to WtG and saw ALL the n00bs wearing this stuff!!!!
All I remember getting was a shitty pesent dress! How come they get a complete outfit AND furniture?

Personally...I love the items, and I love that I didn't have to pay for them. But it's not really fair for the people who joined and got nothing but peasant s**t back in the day (even though they get these things now)...
I had to post in tattered rags until I could afford nice clothes. They get to start with nice clothes? talk2hand
Ohwell. Just another thing to be elitist about? "I had Peasant clothes when I joined. I earned my first outfit. D<"

I liked the peasant clothes. >>;
I would have liked it if they released more peasant-ish items... Like a tattered hat or coat or scarf or something. The kind of thing you'd imagine when you think of sick little orphans or something. o_ o

I was rockin' my peasant dress last night. <3
Shii said this already, and I agree with her. They're getting spoiled. Oh well. It's not affecting us negatively so I don't care.

I didn't like the fact that you had to buy peasant gloves and shoes. Otherwise I think more peasant items would be sort of neat. At least a jacket.
And yeah, they are getting spoiled. But think of how many people bitched about just having the peasant clothes when they joined?
I could care less. More free s**t, whatever. It's pretty cool for not having to pay for it.

Don't get me wrong. I can appreciate the peasant clothes.
Some of my favorite outfits are made with the peasant tops, and almost everything I wear has peasant gloves included.
I just don't think it's very fair that they're getting spoiled and everyone else had to work to have pants, shirts, shoes, what have you.

*shrug*
Just so long as everyone gets it, I don't care?
I mean, yeah, new members are getting more and more spoiled--I had to POST to earn gold back in the day, polls capped out at 10 per 12-hour cycle and now they can like, fish and collect s**t and poll for hours on end. gonk
I haven't hit my poll-per-day limit in I don't know how long. sweatdrop

You are still going to know who the nOObs are since they are all going to pretty much the same.

Afaik the boys still can't wear the gloves, though all of the gloves have been mistakenly labeled "unisex" whether actually unisex or not. whee

The baggy pants from the back crack me up. (No pun intended.)
It does kind of make me mad that new users are getting spoiled. They get shoes. I had to work for my first pair of shoes. But, I suppose it's the whole "I walked uphill through six feet of snow to and from school!" sort of thing. And Sofakingfast has a point; maybe they'll beg less.

This might make them beg less, and since the admins knew we only got peasant stuff they gave us the stuff too. We didn't have houses when we first started.
I still think their starter housing should have been the boxes and boarded up windows. rofl

I think it's bullshit. I didn't even get a peasant dress when I joined - just 500 golds. And I didn't go begging other members for gold or demanding the admins clothe my naked a**. I worked for it. And the clothes they're getting for free look a hell of a lot better than anything I bought with my hard-earned gold. Want to see two of my early outfits? We did not have much to work with. It took me FOREVER to save the gold for my forehead jewel. Somebody randomly gave me the money for the gloves, but I paid him back years later when somehow he came to bid on the laurels in my store. I won the fox tail in my first trunk, and the ears were only about 900 gold back then since rare events were actually attainable. More thoughts on it here.

Speaking of which; since when is the rare event function off? Apparently all my junk that wasn't worth anything back in the day is a heap of Gold.. wasn't that 200k for a nm-bustier or something? Seesh..
