Now, we all know about shippers, particularly kataang and Zutara shippers,(as they seem to be having some sort of war... O-O)
So, I made this Thread for the great despute! Let the stupid reasons of love begin! MWHAHAAHAH!
Basically discuss who you would like to see Katara with, and give us examples, the whole point of this is to sway us to your side of the shipping-ment... or if you don't have a pairing but want to make people stop the crazy-ness, post your argument for them to stop... this is just for spammy reasons, and because i was bored, so think of this as a game... ya...sure... a possibly violent game...
Rules:
Yes, there are rules, but only 2
1) Don't judge another person's pairing, they are just trying to get you on they're side, don't think of them any differently.
2) Give us a reason they should be together, i don't want to hear: BeCaUsE They LoOK K3WT 2Getha!!!<3333 because quite frankly, that makes me not want to be apart of your shipment...
Okay! heres how it works:
we discuss everything about the possible pairings for Katara, yuri, and all, depending on what your favorite shipment is. after a week of discussion and brutal attempts to switch hardcore kataang- i mean.. er...hardcore shippers... to your side, we'll hold a vote that decides the shipment of this guild!

So for my first post! i think... i'm a hardcore Zutara lover, but thats because of fanfictions that really emulate the love between zuko and katara(pretty words do that...) But originally, I liked Jet and Katara, i didn't like that Jet hurt katara so badly... but, maybe they'll get back together again! because it's obvious that Katara was infatuated with him! and it must've broke her wittle heart to hurt him... ah... troubled love...

no really though.... I'm kidding. Although I have a friend who's into it and talked me into doing a couple doodles for her >_> wierd wierd girl she is....
I can't say that I ship anything in specific ^^ I guess that makes me a bit of a whore (or am I making the characters into whores?) My current thang is Katara x Aang, although I've been toying with the entire Katara x Toph thang too ^^ yuri is always so much fun.... I haven't really come up with any solid theories to support anything though.... so I look forward to seeing what everyone else has to say. Provided that this doesn't turn into a huge flame war.....

I think that it should be Katara x Aang,because You can tell she has strong feelings for him, expecaly in the episoed of the cave of 2 loves (she was very offened when Aang said "ya i really wouldn't want to kiss you"). Katara is a very understanding person and with the war going on and him needing to learn all 4 elemenst he needs someone like that. Aang is a care free fun-loveing person, katara could become less serious and more fun (they can both change the other for the better). In the begining she says they are family now (her Aang and sokka) I will end by saying I feel that the feeling she has toweds Aang has developed since the begining of the series.

Personally I am a Zutara shipper. I can't say I have a specific reason, since the two characters have had much of a positive interaction with eachother. But I think Katara would be a sort of balance for Zuko since he can be so hot headed. But other than that I think he just needs somebody to love him. crying

Okay, so far i have to agree with what everybody said... except for the sokka katara thing... yea... that was a bit.. erm.. inteesting...
I do beleive that aang and katara's relationship has grown, and that katara is always there to help aang particularly when he'sin the avatar state and...*GASP!* i think i'm katang-ing!
Anyway, i'm till pretty hardcore zutara, because katara and zuko... i can't help but think that if Katara had met Zuko after book1(which would hae screwed up the plot) Zuko would have fallen head-over-heels for katara, because she is so kind, and nonjudging, usully, i can't see Katara doing a: "FIREBENDER! YOU EVIL BAS*ERDS! YOU KILLED MY MOM!" thats more of a sokka thing. and then when you weigh them together, it's sorta like the nick crew is fate-ing katara and zuko tgether...
1. Zuko is suddenly hunted by his own nation, his most distinguishing feature is his scar, oh what? Katara can suddenly heal? GASP!
2. Zuko begins to feel bad for at the firenation has done, and all the families that have been destroyed because of the fire nation. That's just an added bonus of the whole: Katara being a symbol of what he almost destroyed... not sure how that ties into a zutara thing, but w/e
3. both zko and kaaras mothers were killed(by my thoughts) BY THE FIRENATION! gasp! something intimate and deep!
4. zuko's a prince, katara's a princess.(at least she would be, considering Yue was aprincess because she was daughter of the cheif, so katara being the souther ceifs daughter, is a princess) This disney-ness could make you cry if they made zuko and katara sing, like: 'i wont say i in love' from hercules would be a great Zutara song!... okay, this isn't supporting anything about zuko/Katara, but it does make you want to change shiping boats.

hmmm ok, well to be quite honest... when i first got into the show I was an AangXKatara shipper. *I think that's mostly because my friend who introduced me to the show was, and i kinda went along with that....* however, since ive been watching it as a dedicated fan *i tape every eppie* ive definantly switched sides. I am sooo a Zutara shipper. An here are my reasons why:
1. No offense to Aang.. *i love him to death* hes still really a child. Hes too kiddish, and carefree, and i think a little too young to really be in love.
2.Katara and Aang have more of a brother-sister relationship. Katara is more of an older sister, or even a mother for him-- she's always looking out for him, always trying to protect him, etc... we havent really seen any emotions come out of her that would hint towards her liking Aang as more than a friend. sweatdrop
3. Katara and Zuko would go fabulously together because they are so similar and yet soo different. They're both stubborn, foolish, determined, etc. However, Katara is a very clam, level-headed caring person, wheras Zuko heart is a hot head, with a horrible temper. Zuko has many personal; problems as well--his family, etc... And Katara is just the tyoe of person he needs by his side. She's "medicine" for him, she would be the one to always be there to comfort him, and support him no matter what.
4. And of course I gotta say: THEY LOOK SOO DARN CUTE TOGETHER!!!! heart heart blaugh

I eman we always see Aang show affection towards her, but we've never really seen her show any affection __@ least not the way Aang does__ towards Aang. I dont think I can see them as anything more than friends.. *But hey, anythings possible. If they did end up together, I wouldnt be too upset* rofl

You guys would NEVER guess what i found out! among my pointless Zutara Fandomness, i found that a Fanfic-er had named the son of zuko and Katara(This is gonna sound stupid..)Kazuko! Yes, quite a stupid name, i agree, but in Japanese, that actually means: "child of peace" or "beginning child" Now, this could be an incredible coincidence, or me being paranoid, and Nickelodion laughing behind our back. But, this is just so much Zutara evidence... i can hardly stand it!

Sokka should totaly be with Suki!!! I loved Suki from the beggining but felt like I had to face the fact that she was probobly a one time charater. But their realationship the first time was awsome. She taught him to respect women and not to judge them as unfit to be fighters , plus she kissed him at the end 4laugh . I thought she was gone but Avatar Kyoshi showed up in a mysterious murder case, which made them go back to kyoshi lsland where they met old faces (crazzzzy foaming guy xd ). Sokka was obviously looking for her and she asked the old man where she was. When he heard that she went off to fight in the war you can see that he was really disapointed, which means he still likes her!! Im sad that Yue is dead but that means that he is single, so suki is an option again. Im sure we will see suki again. heart

I like Mei x Zuko. Because, they showed Mei blushing over Zuko as a little girl, and I wonder, after Ursa left, if Mei and Zuko hung out any. I think it would be adorable to have a flashback of them as awkward teens before Zuko's banishment. 4laugh
Obviously the relationship didn't last, but, you know, it's still cute.
