STORY TIME GUYS. I WANT TO KNOW HOW YOU FIRST HEARD OF PLACEBO. THE LONGER THE POST THE BETTER. I LOVE HEARING ABOUT PEOPLE'S FIRST TIME. LOLLLLL. Okay this story takes place in 2004 I think. I used to play a little video game called SSX3 veryy frequently. I still do actually. Almost every song on the game soundtrack sucked except for THE BITTER END. heart So basically that was the only song on my game playlist and I listened to it for ages before I finally got the idea to check the band out. I searched them up and the first photo I saw was THIS. My first impressions were "Wow I love his hair" and "Is he asian?". Then I watched the video for Slave to the Wage and The Bitter End and I was like "k I like them" so I downloaded some songs. I remember really wanting to listen to Teenage Angst because I thought the title was awesome. Ooh and I watched an interview too and I thought Stefan was really cool and that Brian wore too much makeup. Teehee. THE END.

I have no story. ):
I discovered Placebo in 2002. My brother made me listen to them. He used to be a huge Nirvana fan and someone told him Placebo was better.
I was obsessed with I Know and Black Eyed. n_n I still love these songs.
This was the first picture I saw and it really freaked me out. .__. (I was 11.)

Well, I first heard them when I heard their name mentioned a few times, and decided to download a few songs. I think I got "Every You Every Me" and "Special K". I thought they were okay, but I hated the lead singers voice.
Anyway, a long time after that, I started dating this girl who was obsessed with them. She told me to get the self-titled album, and I loved it.

I first heard them when I was surfing the net at my mom's house I was bored and didn't bring music so I decided to look up some videos on yahoo.Placebo came on and I saw two men in dresses, the singer who was pretty with a weird voice and a scruffy boy on drums. I didn't know what to make of them. I think they were singing Pure Morning in a session they'd done exclussivly for yahoo and I didn't like it all to much but I listened for a bit more and said 'hey might as well check there stuff' which lead into a unhealthy obsession to their music and an akward attraction to men in dresses.
I want to say it was in 02 or maybe 04 I don't know I get my dates mixed up so easy.

Uhmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......
I remember a long long time ago, I saw the lyrics to 'Every me, Every You' (or is it the other way around....), and I loved the words. But of course, had never heard of the band, being 11, in the US, and not to mention in Southern California.
Flash forward about 2 years.
I moved to The southern Washington/Northern Oregon area, where the radio stations play music that is alot cooler. And better. And anyways, They played Pure Morning alot, and I loved it, but I never fiigured out who it was by.
Flash forward another 2 years.
Still in that area, still was taunted by the greatness of that song. Then, my dad's friend burned his entire ITunes onto our computer when he repaired it, and it had a bazjillion songs I hadn't heard *There still are.* My friend Alyssa came over and looked through it, and made me play Placebo. I was like '....I finally have found the song... crying '.
And then I bought Meds when it came out, and I've listened to them ever since.....about 4 months ago.

Then I got Placebo, then WYIN, and then BMM, and the rest is history.

I decided I was sick of my music, so I bored some of my sister's CDs, among which was Sleeping With Ghosts. I remeber going with her to buy it and thinking "What the ******** is up with that cover" but now I love it with all my heart.

Well, I only just recently started obssessively listening to them. at the start of this year, I think... I had heard 'Every you Every Me' before, on skateboarding videos and jsut around the place. So I had already heard a few of their songs, and liked them all, I jsut never really took the time to get any albums or anything.
So, my brother purchased their self-titled, Without You I'm Nothing, and Sleep with Ghosts CDs, and I borrowed them. I love them so dearly.
Now I would say that I am quite the obssessed Placebo fan, they are pretty much the only thing that I listen to. Except for when I feel like haveing a break form them, which is hardly ever xd
I hope they come to Australia! whee

As for my story, I saw the Pure Morning video when it came out and the song was played all the time, loved it but didn't care that much. Skip ahead a year or so. I heard the song on the radio, was much more interested this time, and couldn't remember who it was by. ( crying ) After digging around online forever, I finally figured it out and listened to more of their songs and voila!

Either 2001 or 2002, I was living on Zeromancer's forum and some Norwegian or German (can't remember) kids were talking about how they were pretty sure Brian had a crush on ZMR's singer, Alex. So I checked them out. XD

I remember now, my friend had one of their DVDs, and his brother's were watching it while I was over. I remember being rather freaked out, and a little confused as to why the lead singer was wearing a dress...
I think everyone, when they first see Brian, is at least a little weirded out xd

I don't remember that year I listened the first song gonk ... but that was... Special k in live ...I seen a video of Special k in tv (what educative song! lol)
I liked them by their way to dress... they are soo cool your clothes ...
and obviously... I like the beat of the song Special K...
so amazing!!! But I didn't know the name of the band gonk ¬¬
