(I shall now make an attempt at making a RolePlay! Hooray for me!)The Western RP!Come and roam the wild plains of old Texas! Where the famed cowboys and their dramatic showdowns are as common as the dirt on the ground. Where cattle farms are considered highly profitable and where there are still many places unfamiliar. Join the characters as they make their way through life on the harsh frontier.(That sounded so incredibly stupid! But I?m not going to change it. So if you don?t like it? then? HA! But anyways, if you want to join, then please PM me! And? have fun!)Characters:Name: Cliff Fittir Age/Gender: 24/Male Appearance: His hair is short and blonde. He has light green eyes that quickly adjust to changing light conditions. He is muscular and considered to be one of the most appealing men in town. He has lots of minor scars all over his body, including the face. His face is weathered and his skin is well tanned. Clothing: He wears a short-sleeved off-white shirt underneath a beautifully woven and dirty poncho. He has long, tan pants and a gun holster on his hip. He also wears worn out, dark brown boots with no spurs. He carries around a 44-Magnum and a small hunting knife. Other: He smokes and drinks a lot, like most other cowboys. He likes to gamble a lot, too. But, Cliff doesn't care much for a showdown for he, personally, doesn't want to die at such a young age. He owns and maintains his own, private horse and cattle ranch. Cliff lives alone and usually welcomes in any stranger in his household.
Name: Miss Anna Ryan Age/Gender: 21/Female Appearance: She has long, golden brown hair that reaches to a few inches past her shoulders. Her eyes are light brown, sharp, and usually always bright and attentive. She has pale color skin, bright ruby red lips, and good body proportions. Clothing: She wears a short, black dress with large, white buttons on the front. She wears a not-so-white-anymore apron around her waist that drops a little below the hem of her dress. Her shoes are black high heels and strap upwards towards her knees, but they only go to about mid-thigh. Other: Anna is what you would expect a regular girl on the Western frontier to be like. She owns and maintains her own bar/hotel, called Miss Ryan's Booze for Ze Boys. She mostly works at the bar, but also sometimes as a card shark for one of the poker tables. Or, for a lot of cash, she works as a playgirl. She's girly and flirty and likes men with the "manly" appeal. Some would even say that she is masochistic.
Name: Clive Winslett Age/Gender: 21/Male Appearance: He has long, green hair that is tied up in a horsetail. He also has long bangs that hang down on the side, framing and making his face look longer. He has light brown eyes and light colored skin. It's not exactly "white". Clothing: He wears tight, black, long-sleeved clothing. Over his shirt, he wears a yellow vest. On his left leg, there is a gun holster, which he places a pistol in. Over all of his clothing, he wears a deep red colored trench coat. He also wears shiny black boots and thin framed glasses. Weapons: He carries a knife in his belt and a long rifle slung across his back. He also carries around a pistol. Other: Clive was raised in an Indian tribe for his parents were both Indian and Caucasian. He grew up learning both cultures and languages. He doesn't like to gamble and drink a lot. Personally, he likes to protect people from evil and use his rifle. He's rather intelligent and knows when to shut up and listen.Name: Kuwanyauma (Hopi name meaning "butterfly showing beautiful wings") Age/Gender: 20/Female Appearance: She has thick, straight black hair that goes to her waist. Her skin is light brown and her eyes are dark brown. She is slightly shorter than average but strong and quick. She is also very beautiful, but not many ?white men? like her kind. Even so, sometimes she finds herself in a fight or two to get them to leave her alone. Clothing: She wears a sleeveless brown leather dress that ends at her thighs. It is decorated with leather fringe on the sleeves and the edge at the bottom, and with turquoise beadwork around the bottom edge and the v-neck. A darker brown leather belt is around her waist, with a knife made of bone tucked in it. Her moccasins are the same as her dress, with fringe and turquoise. She has a plain, thin strip of leather around her neck with a turquoise pendant hanging from it. Other: Kuwanyauma was a Hopi Indian, but her tribe was killed by a group of settlers and she was all that was left. An old woman took pity on her and raised her as one of them until she died when Kuwa (for short) was 17. She found out about her roots and joined another Hopi tribe, learning their ways until just a year ago. Since then, she has been wandering around Texas. She is good in English because of her adopted mother, but also can communicate well with other Natives. Because of this many settlers hire her as their guide. Her horse is called Shadow Wind, probably because he is black and fast. She rides with no saddle or reins.Name: Brett Ranney Age/Gender: 20/Male Appearance: He has dark red hair that is short and combed nicely. His eyes are green and mischievous. He is tall and slim, and a pleasant aroma of tobacco smoke and cologne hangs around him. He is very attractive. (At least he thinks so.) Clothing: He wears a fine black suit with gold buttons on the jacket and shiny black dress shoes. Under his jacket he wears a crimson dress shirt. Around his neck is a gold necklace, and the gold chain of a pocket watch can be seen dangling from his pocket. Weapons: He secretly carries a black derringer for self defense only, as he is an extreme coward in the face of danger and hates to fight. Other: An avid gambler, Brett makes a fine living off of his impressive skill at cards. He loves to spend his time at saloons, gambling and drinking and flirting with women. He is a smooth talker, and a sly theif. Some think he cheats at cards. Name: Beau Bounty (real name unknown) Age/Gender: 30/M Appearance: He has shoulder length, greasy black hair and cold grey eyes. Due to his lack of bathing habits, his face is smeared with grime. He hasn't shaved in a while either, and has a black stubble. He is tall and musclular. Clothing: he wears black cowboy boots with silver spurs and studs, black jeans, black leather chaps, a black shirt, and a heavy black coat that goes to his knees. A wide-brimmed black cowboy hat covers his eyes, and a black bandana is tied around his face, covering his mouth and nose. Weapons: He carries two silver pistols at his sides, a black rifle slung across his back, and a black whip. He never hesitates to use them. Other: A feared and wanted outlaw, he's on the run from the authorities for several train and bank roberies. He's a ruthless and hardened criminal, and will lend his services to anyone, if the price is right.Name: Sheriff Cooper Age/Gender: 43 / M Appearance: Grey haired and sharp eyed, he has bushy eyebrows and a moustache. Although old, he is suprisingly strong. Has short white hair, but it is usually hidden under his cowboy hat. He has fair skin. Clothing: Dressed entirely in white, wearing boots, dress slacks, a button up shirt, a short jacket that goes down to about waist length, and a traditional cowboy hat. He has a gleaming five-pointed gold star with the word 'SHERIFF' emblazoned on it perched upon his chest. Carries two twin pistols, each one with a pearl white handle, at his sides at all times. Other: A very stern sheriff, his only weaknesses are women and gambling. He also drinks quite a bit, but has an amazing resistance to alchohal. It usually takes more than two bottles of whisky until he gets drunk. Spends alot of time at the casinos, as the town dosen't have too much crime in it, and is a competent card-player.
Name: Kid Cassidy Age/Gender: 19 / M Appearance: Rather short, has tanned skin and a ponytail of dirty brown hair that goes down to mid-back. Is decently muscular. Clothing: Tan boots with gold colored spurs, blue jeans, an un-buttoned duster coat, no shirt and a tan cow-boy hat. All of his clothes are very dusty and worn. Is armed with a large rifle almost as tall as he is, which he keeps slung across his back, and a lasso looped over his left shoulder. Other: Considers himself a rival of Beau Bounty, he bacame an outlaw because he was tired of people calling him little or weak.

As she reached the edge of town, a young Native American woman dismounted her horse. She held his mane and they walked along the dirt road, then reached a place called Miss Ryan's Booze for Ze Boys. There was a corral there that she made her horse stand at. She passed by the window and glanced in.
Obviously it was not a place she should enter, so she crossed the road and entered a small food store to buy provisions. The store owner watched her from the counter.

In a corner of Miss Ryan's Booze for Ze Boys sat a young man: Brett Ranney, the famous cardshark and infamous gambler. Keeping an interested eye on the cowboy who was currently losing poker, he took a deep drag on the cigaret that was held between his lips. Two collumns of grey smoke shot out of his nostrils like the smokestacks of a locomotive. With a quiet, personal chuckle, he rose from his seat and crossed the room towards Cliff. When he reached the poker table, he grabbed a chair, pulled it up to the table, and sat himself down. With a sly smile, he said, "Afternoon, gents. Room for one more player?" (Sorry about the faulty link in my character's profile. Here's a better one: Derringer)

(Hey all, I'm continuing. If you still want to join, don't hesitate!)~ Cliff moved over a little to make room for the newcomer. "Hey Brett," Cliff mumbled as he placed his bid. "You're not winning today. I think I'm got a lucky angel." He smiled inwardsly.
While waiting for the other guys to bet, he double-checked his cards. But like a trained professional, he kept a straight face.
^ Miss Ryan sat and watched Cliff and Brent. She whistled sweetly and sighed. "Two very cute men. But, which one do I like more?" She pondered over that while serving more men their booze.

Kuwa set down her jars and other assorted food items on the counter top in front of the store owner who ran his gaze over her warily. "Y'got money to pay for that, girl?" he asked harshly. "I don't give them out fer free, y'know."
"Yes, I understand. I have some silver here." She handed him some coins and he looked a little surprised that she could speak English so well. "Oh, do you sell any whiskey?"
"Nope, but Miss Ryan's across the road might sell it." He nodded toward the door and watched her until she left.
Kuwa put the food stuffs in the saddlebag she had also purchased and put it on her horse. "Sorry, Shadow Wind, but you're going to have to carry this for a while," she whispered to him, then walked up to the door of Miss Ryan's. She didn't want to go in there, but she needed to get the whiskey. Not only did she herself enjoy it but it was useful to trade with when out on the road.
Sighing, Kuwa entered the saloon and went to sit at the bar, waiting to ask for some bottles to go. She sat straight on her seat unlike most of the other drunks, and did her best to ignore the men staring at her.

(Hey, Sparrow, when you get the chance could you please post my other character? Thanks. mrgreen )
Brett placed his bet, making sure it was higher than Cliff's. "Lucky angel, huh?" he asked, recieving his cards from the dealer. He glanced down at his hand. "Well you might just need one when you're playing with the devil." He smirked.

(Oh! Sorry Fantasy! He's up and running now.)~ Cliff sat and smiled wolfishly at Brett. "Ha! The devil my whipped left butt cheek! Don't make me laugh, sonny." Cliff added to his bid, outdoing Brett by a little.
^
Miss Ryan went to the Indian girl sitting at the counter. She frowned at her for a moment, questioning why she was there. "Hello girly. What can I get for yah?"

Kuwa couldn't help but look over the oddly clothed woman. Or at least, what she considered to be odd. "Um, do you have unopened bottles of whiskey I could buy?"
She glanced over at the loud men playing cards. "What are they playing?"

Brett, inspecting his hand, was just about to take a card from the dealer when a gunshot rang out from just outside the bar, followed by a rather enraged fit of swearing. The door swung open. Brett placed his cards facedown on the table and sat rigidly, staring at the man who had entered.
Beau Bounty holstered his smoking black pistol and scanned the scene in the bar. He pulled his bandana down from his face and walked over to the counter. "Damn shopowner tries to take a potshot at me while I'm taking a piss," he mutterred. "It's a blasted outhouse, for God's sake!"

Sherrif Cooper sauntered into Miss Anna's Booze for Ze Boys and sat down at the counter, right next to a native american. He looked over at Miss Anna and said with a thick Texan accent, "Bottle of whiskey, please." Then he turned to the indian girl beside him. "It's called poker, miss. You new to this town?" Cooper asked.
Kid Cassidy sat on the side of the road near a bar called Booze for Ze Boys and watched Kuwa with sharp eyes as she entered. "Well I'll be darned, it's one of em' red-skins. I hear they got some fast horses," he muttered. He stood up and surveyed the corral. "Wonder which one of them's her's?" the bandit said to himself, sratching his chin.

Miss Ryan looked at the Indian girl in a funny manner. "Do I have booze that yah can buy? Ah yah serious? This is a bar girly! I got tons of booze! Probleh enough tah knock the whole town off ets feet!" Anna laughed at her little joke. "How much yah want?"
Cliff clamly set his hand down and turned to look at the newcomer who was causing quite a racket. "Oh," he muttered under his breath. "If it ain't Beau Bounty, I'll be damned," he muttered under his breath.
Anna turned her attention to the man. "Poor you. Well, if yah still need tah go, I got plenty of pots yah can use. And you wanna beer while yah still here?"
^ A young man with green hair rode towards Miss Ryan's Booze for Ze Boys. He was looking for no one in particular, but felt like observing the behaviors of so-called "cowboys".

Shadow Wind snorted and flicked his ears and tail to swat the flies away.
"...Just a few bottles, please," Kuwa answered, a little taken aback at her energy. She glanced from the men at the card table to the sheriff. "Yes sir, but I have played poker before... Some friends taught me."
Those friends had been settlers she'd helped, and they had taught her every poker trick known to man. They were really into gambling, and by the time Kuwa left them to go to other places, she was about as good as them. Of all her travels, she had only lost at poker a few rare times, but that was when she was just a beginner. She enjoyed the game, even though she didn't like gambling all too much. And the best part was men rarely expected her to be good at the card game.
She excused herself from the sheriff and walked over to the table. "Would anyone mind if I joined your game?" she asked politely.
(I myself have zero to negative experience with poker, so... yeah. >_>; )

(Don't sweat it, Neri. I just act like I know what I'm doing. xp )
Beau scratched himself in a place one shouldn't normally scratch oneself in public and sat down at the counter. Miss Ryan annoyed him, but he ordered a beer anyway. While he was waiting, he cast a glance over to Cooper. Feeling rowdy from the excitement, he called over to him. "What's a sherrif doin' drinkin' whiskey in the middle of the afternoon?" he taunted. "Aint you got some outlaw to shoot or somethin'?
Meanwhile, Brett couldn't help but smirk when Kuwa asked to join. "You play alot of cards over where you're from?" he asked. "Hey dealer," he joked rudely, "you might want to change the game to Indian Poker."

"Nope," said the sheriff. "We ain't had much trouble in this here town for a while." Cooper studied Beau, looking him up and down, his brow furrowed. "Do I know you from somewhere?" he asked.
Meanwhile, outside the bar, Cassidy checked to see if nobody was around, and hopped the fence surrounding the corral. Howvere as he turned around he saw a funny-haired rider coming down the street. Cassidy scrambled behind a nearby water trough and swore under his breath.
