It seems as though there has been alot of confusion on terms here.
First off, forgive my lack of posting...xD And well, it looks as though I'm going to clear up a few of my mistakes that I didn't post in my Terminology thread due to the fact that I was very ingnorant back then on lesbianism in manga. Oh, woe is me...
Anyway, alot of you wonderful members of this guild tend to think that 'Tachi' and 'Neko' defines the aggressor of the relationship...
For one, what is Neko and what is Tachi? Well, let me clear that up for you dear friends, because I love you all.
Tachi is the way to define a man trapped inside a woman's body; a 'butch' per se.
Neko is a woman who looks like a woman. (go figure, right?) They are girly and like girlier things.
But Rainbow, you say, we all know this already.
True it may be that you do, but I feel the need to make it more clear because, you see, this is where the confusion starts.
Tachi and Neko does NOT define the agressor. It defines the type of woman by their outside looks in a female x female relationship. A Tachi may look closer to a man, but indeed could be the more submissive one.
To may my point more clear, it is more common to see Neko x Neko relationships in common-day GL anime than Tachi x Neko ones. (Take Chikane and Himeko from Kannazuki no Miko for example, they're both Nekos, but Chikane is definitely the more-dominant one here. She is not a Tachi. She is a Neko. =] )
And to go on more about Shoujo-ai/Yuri/GL/Loli in-general, I would like to point out that even if they are two women and they are a couple, is it not completely stated that they are actually lesbians. Girl's Love means just that. Girls in-love. That doesn't necessarily make them actual lesbians. The manga MAKA-MAKA is a great example of that; the two just have sex without actually being sexually attracted to women.
So, what the point I'm trying to get across is, lesbian couples in Girl's Love works may not actually be lesbians. Same goes for gay couples in Boy's Love works. They're all just two people in-love, reguarding sex.
I hope this helps you all. I really missed this guild. And to be honest, I like it better than the brother-guild about Boy's Love mainly because I'm not fond of "yaoi"-fangirls (as they like to call themselves) in-general. Though, I do admit, Mistress Paco does do a great job of keeping the guild together. (Kudos to you for that too!)
Anyways, enough typing for me. I'm out.
~Rachie

cuffedCatboy but.. but.. neko means 'cat'!? x_x" *ish highly confused* Exactly. But it's also a term for a girly female in a lesbian relationship.
I mean, have you ever seen a butchy neko-girl? xD

Hm... Wow... so that means I'm a neko too by your definition. sweatdrop xd Though I looked the terms up online and all state that the term does indeed mean the more 'dominant' person in the relationship. Nothing about the appearances of a neko or tachi. The only difference I really found was that one site said that Tachi was a term used for the dominant male in a gay relationship. >__o
*is confused now* @___o;
