If for whatever reason you have to go away for some time, and don't want to suffer the penalties of not RPing, post here saying you'll be gone. THEN, when you get back edit the same post saying you've returned. Then I'll delete it.
So... To make it incredibly simple. XD
Step 1. You Find out you'll be away from gaia.
Step 2. You come to this thread and post saying "I'll be on haitus."
Step 3. You go on haitus.
Step 4. You eventually come back from your haitus, and return to this forum.
Step 5. Edit your post saying "I'm back!"
Step 6. I delete the post.
Note: haitus can only last ONE year. o__O you might have died for all i know. If you know that you're going to be gone for over a year, please contact me.
