THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU RP:
The Damphousse are loosely based around the Drow society. Look it up online to learn more, until I can post a summary here.
No humans are allowed.
Damphousse are nocturnal creatures that live in the heart of the Evercrest Mountains, south of Durem and the shop (map to come). Other caves do exist around the mountainside - make up your own maps if you make an RP thread in one. ((In the title, [ALL] indicates it is open for any pets to post in. [P] indicates a private RP. You should post who is allowed to be there in the first post.))
They are a fierce, callous bunch, and will fight at the slightest provocation. Hhence, they are in a very strict pack system, similar to wolves, where each and every night runner has its rank and location in the labrynth of caves that they inhabit.
Nightrunners are the mortal enemies of Koivu, although they have sworn peace through the Cujo Treatice. The two groups rarely meet, especially because Koivu are diurnal and Damphousse are nocturnal. The Nightrunners don't interact with Koivu at all. They have a long-standing hatred for those without wings, and think Koivu are ugly and fat (they are heavier because they don't need to fly).
Damphousse communicate via telepathy. They live for the rush of a blind flight through pitch blackness of the caves, and claim the skies outside as their own. They cannot swim well, but bathe in the underground rivers that flow through their caverns. They are omnivores, and feed on fruit and large mammals, killed in pack hunts. Damphousse do not eat birds.
Call each other by rank more than name. Rank is the same as wolf packs, except the Alpha is trumped by the queen. They are considered mates, and rule the society, although the female is the highest of all.
They have Hyena laughter, and mock each other constantly.
They do not love their young, they teach them, and train them to be adults. Kindness is mainly shown by the queen, but she, too is oven callus.
Kits are allowed to play games, hunt, and explore the caves, although they will be punished by their elders if they get lost or wander too near the Alpha and Queen barracks. The kits can fly, but not for long before they tire.
All females are considered princesses, although only a scattered few are adopted under the queen's wings upon the onset of youth, to be trained as a possible heir to the throne. Youth females are very catty, and war against one another constantly in order to gain favour with the queen. Failure in the queen's eyes means they are stripped of their adopted royalty, and are considered another soldier in the normal ranks.

Queen offspring may also come as eggs, but we need kits now. I'll auction another couple older ones, so we can start forming their hierarchy.
