well i had to go into toronto today which is about 30 mins on the 401 there and another 30 on the way back. ever since i got my 5.0L in i havent gone over 80km/h as there has been no reason to. i noticed a bit of a vibration driving around town but just shook it off as being part of having a big engine as it wasnt that bad. turns out when i get up to about 100km/h+ it go's crazy and sounds like its falling apart. as soon as i would let off the engine it would stop though which i found to be odd. took it to mustang specialteaz on the way home and turns out the motor mounts i bought were ******** and their basically falling apart. on a side note though he finally got frame connecters in and we through in a g-load brace too while we were at it, i can definately feel that the frame is much tighter. problem is motor mounts = me not able to do in garage either, so im going to have to get them installed as well and thats going to cost a fair amount!
so with that aside, i picked up oil and a filter and did an oil change and then when i fired it up to my dismay it nearly stalled twice before it "stabalized" if you could call it that, the tac was jumping 100-300rpm at idle. so i tryed to just cruize for 5 minutes and see if that would fix it but it didnt help. so i call mustang specialteaz again and he says that when he disconnected the battery to weld the connecters on, the computer didnt relearn properly and that i just needed to re-reset it and then take a nice easy 10-20 minute cruise. well i must say, worked like a charm!
but ya ever have one of those days when everything go's wrong with your car and you just want to get rid of it? what happened?

Violent Intervention Yeah, it happens almost every day that I have my truck insured. xd heh it sucks, but oh well compared to alot of other cars the mustang has only cost a fraction of what the common car from that era costs on upkeep!

Yeah, but it's going to cost a ton on parts needed to keep the 302 happy, and to keep the drivetrain happy if you upgrade the engine.
Ah, the joys of a custom vehicle

Ah, the joys of a custom vehicle already got a tranny good for 4-500hp (supposedly) it was supposed to go on a supercharged mustang but he went with the biger blower and was estimating 600hp so he went with a tremec. bad news too, i changed the oil and 4 litres came out, 5 litres are supposed to....not a good sign! i just have to hope its not something bad like piston rings or something, if its just with the valves or a gasket, its still a relatively small problem, compared to a piston ring problem. ill have to do a compression test and others and find out what the hells going on with it. though the engine sat for a year in my posession and i have no clue how long it sat with the previous owner, so im thinking it could be possible it just needed some breaking in or something? wishful thinking? lol the fun never ends

little TLC mabye. is it blowing smoke when you run it? That would show a oil leak, otherwise check the gaskets and also the oil drain plug. If it's loose it will leak, as I found out with my 300.

If it's loose it will leak, as I found out with my 300. not blowing smoke, there has not been a single oil spot under the engine ive checked everytime, pretty sure its burning it, i know when i rev it i can smell the exhaust and i cant tell if its burning oil or if its just the emmisions controls having too much exhaust to do anything with, but what if its burning oil when i am reving it, or going foot to the floor on the street? i would assume that means the rings are letting too much oil stay on the cylinder walls?
