Hiei is one of those hard to tag men. He is emotionally constipated in many ways. (IE, his relationship with Yukina.) Granted he has had a very rough life to grow up in.
But he is very loyal to his allies. (I say allies, because Hiei feels that Kurama is his only true freind[cotect me if I'm wrong]) After he joins the spirit detectives (rather reluctently of course) Yusuke and Kuwabara slowly realize that Hiei is a VERY good allie to have. I think that secretly Hiei thinks of Yusuke and Kuwabara as freinds also. But he'll never tell. You know how constipation is, once you have it, it's a b***h to let everything go all at once.
He's also very hieght challenged. I see him as being 4'8". I don't know about other states but I do know that there is a law in Maine that anyone under the hight of 5 feet has to be in a car seat. I can just picture Hiei in the back hitched in to a car seat with Kuwabara and Yusuke both laughing their heads off and Kurama driving trying not to laugh, or smile either. I picture Hiei, in his deep monotone voice, saying "If you say one word I will shove my katana up your a** and rip out your spine."

Um... constipation... what a very interesting word to use in describing Hiei's emotional standstill, but it works. ^^; i think Hiei is a rather cool character and if anyone knows him fully... they probably would also agree that Hiei does have the right to be as stoic as he is. I agree that secretly Hiei probably views Yuu-chan and kuwa-chan as friends, but he wouldn't admit it. Although i see him being a little more willing to confess it if Yusuke were the one he was talking about... i just don't think he'd ever come out a say Kuwabara was his friend... Look at it this way... if he didn't trust Kuwabara... do you really think he'd be able to go near Yukina. Hiei would make sure kuwabara didn't come close to her if he truly disliked him. ^^ When it comes to Mukuro though... i think she is actually quite close to Hiei... I do in fact support a coupling between them... That's just me though... Sorry this is a bit scattered... I'm not always good at giving my opinion on things.

I love Hiei. The whole sister thing is so cute. His whole reson for living is to die for her and keep her safe. There are so many other things about the way he acts and such its amazing.

At least until the end of the series... After he meets Mukuro it seems like he finds more reasons to live on... but of course Yukina is still his number one reason.

Uh... i have no problem with the couple... but i only Rp Mukuro and Hiei coupling with one person... i think she's a really nice person and she plays Mukuro very well... And so... i don't mind playing Hiei for her... it's the only time I'll do that.

Hiei-san, despite his awkward exterior, he is actually a very kind person.. to Yukina in at least. i do support the HieixMukuro couple very strongly. I think that they belong together because they have strong understanding of one another. besides... for those who have read up on the manga it's said that he goes and kills mukuro's father for her. i'm not sure how true that statement is, but i'd like to think the creator had that happen.

The creator wanted to put thoughs two together but so many people in Japan liked the Hiei Kurama Paring that he dident But he dident put Hiei Kurama together because he did not like them together

i heard that Togashi Sensei didn't have any intentions of kurama and Hiei together, but he was flattered that fans would get so into his work that they would come up with reasonable explanations as to why. and i don't mean because they look cute together either...
