I like Yusuke because there are many things that we both have in common.
arrow He's a smartass like me.
arrow We're both perverts to some extent.
arrow We're both protective of the people that we consider our freinds.
arrow We can both have eruptive tempers. (you have no idea.)
I feel that Yusuke is very misunderstood by a lot of the people around him. If they would get their thumbs out of their arses they would find that Yusuke could be a really great allie to them in the future. He might complain a lot but when you really need him He'll be there for you in a heart beat.

Yusuke-kun's personality is perfect... and i hated how everyone at the beginning of the manga always frowned down upon him. IE... the teachers, adults, and just most people in general... He is the perfect example of letting someone's appearance base your opinion on how they truly are. He's really a kind person, but he doesn't fall to mush like a lot of characters. I'm sorry... i can't give an accurate reason as to why I think he's so cool because there is noisey people surrounding me with no consideration for others concentration... Yes... and I too possess a bad temper... i'd like to see what would happen if Yusuke and I got into a verbal fight... He'd probably win of course... but I'd give it my best. I also try to protect those i care for, but a lot of the times i find them protecting me from myself... not that i'm a danger to myself, but i sometimes get too involved in something and I tend to forget about reality. Anyway... back to Yusuke. i love his wisecracks during a serious situation... it always seems to lighten the mood. I've also noticed that when he fights his greatest foes... for some reason a great deal of them seem to understand why he's fighting and have this new found respect for him at the end of their fight. I think that's always the best way to resolve your conflicts.

I like him for 3 things
1) Hes helpful
2) He doesn't get annoying like others in the 1st seson
3) He loves to joke around but knows when enough is enough

he's the main character... all in all he is a likeable guy... but I think there are a lot of main characters like him. He is the anti hero that no one would ever expect to help them...
