I was trying to avoid making one of these until at least the 20th of June and name it 'The Inevitable Guster Thread', but I guess this will do. mrgreen I might end up hijacking your threads anyway, though. ninja

Oh no! phlipp is hijacking the Guster thread!
...I'd hijack this thread, too, but the only things I seem to be able to talk about are Guster and percussion instruments, which are both on topic.

They all sound sort of different:
Parachute is sort of folk-y. It's mainly two acoustic guitars and bongos, though a few songs have electric guitar (or acoustic guitar that sounds electric).
Goldfly and Lost And Gone Forever are slightly similar, with awesome percussion parts (Barrel Of A Gun is on LAGF) and creative melodies. Lost And Gone Forever is a bit poppier than Goldfly.
Keep It Together has a lot of really different sounds on it. (If you want to know what I mean, go to pieTunes and listen to the thirty-second samples of Careful, Red Oyster Cult, and Jesus On The Radio. It's their first album where they use a drum set. It's also their poppiest.
The new one that's coming up, called Ganging Up On The Sun, sounds very different than the other Guster albums (from what I've heard- I've only heard five or six songs from it). It's sort of tricky to describe... it's less pop-ish than KIT but more pop-ish than LAGF. It has more keyboards and less bongos.
My personal favourite is Lost And Gone Forever (though GUotS is sounding really, really good... I can't stop listening to Ruby Falls!). It really depends on what you listen to.

My brother once did an experiment to see how long I can talk about Guster without saying 'um' or pausing. Fourteen minutes, sixteen seconds. Describing albums is no problem for me. 3nodding xd
