Welcome to Transfiguration!
Good day, and welcome to Transfiguration class! I will be your teacher, Professor Mairyela Aldohaerin. Please feel free to call me Professor A, Ma'am, or simply Professor if you cannot seem to remember it. In this class, we will be dealing with the ancient natural science of Alchemy, known today as Transfiguration; the ability to create one object from another. Here students will learn to create objects of need, or desire, at ones own will. Eventually, you will even learn how to change your own appearance. The skills used here will affect the rest of your lives as mature wizards and witches, for defensive purposes and leisure alike.
Below is a list of guidelines to help you through the next few bulletins. The order shall be:

*Homework Board
*Important Dates/Events Board
*Teacher's Notes
*Grades
Please be sure to read all the rules and guidelines carefully. They will all be enforced and punishments will be handed out appropriately. Also, please be sure to check the Homework, Events, and Teacher's notes board's regularly for test dates, important notices and work you need. These will be updated on a regular basis. The class registration application will be posted in the Great Hall soon. Thank you.

Rules and Guidelines of the Classroom
The following rules and guidelines must be followed at all times while class is in session:
*Be courteous to your Professor as well as other students at all times.
*No eating while classes are in session.
*No engaging in any sort of magical practice without the permission of the Professor. This is for everyone's safety.
*Please do not bring pets into class. We don't want your toad getting mixed up with the classroom toads. If it returned to you as an armoire, it is not the teachers fault! Days when pets are allowed will be posted on the Events Board
*Do not feed the classroom animals.
*Any joke items from Zonko's Joke Shop will not be tolerated.
*If you have a question, ask it! That is why I am here.
*Please inform me of any absences you will have so I can give you the work ahead of time.
Each rule stated has its own level of punishment. My suggestion is that you don't break any of them. This way, everyone is happy!

~October 08/07: I appologise for the lack of posting I have been doing lately. The first First Year lecture is now up. Please see the thread for more information. I am currently taking any questions before an assignment is posted.

Teacher's Notes
Here is where students may come and look to see House points (may they be added or subtracted), pending suspended students lists, tips and help for homework and assignments, as well as other things. Sometimes I may just post meaningful quotes or how I am feeling that day. That way you will know not to tick me off during bad days! Tick me off=homework! All in all, I'm pretty quirky and easy to get along with, so, as my first note: Have fun!

Grades Students, this is where you may come and see your grades, which will be sorted alphabetically, and by year and house to make finding your name easier. Marked grades will be posted after I review and mark homework, and there will be a monthly post of your overall mark, as well as a numeric standing to see where you stand in the ranks of your peers. NEWTS and OWL test scores will be dealt with as they come for those students who write them.

Walking into the large, dark room, Professor Mairyela Aldohaerin was greeted by the chirping and cries of the various animals around the room. From a dark corner of the room, a familiar hooting called her attention. As she turned to the sound, her large Horned owl Noche flew down from his perch and landed on her raised arm. Mairyela smiled and stroked her pets feathered head.
"Tooday is a good day, Noche." She spoke to him. "A new semester has begun, and the world is at peace. Just the way I like it."
Giving a soft hoot, Noche flew off her arm and onto his regular perch beside her desk. His wings accidentally scattered some papers, and they tumbled to the ground. Picking them up, Mairyela sighed and sat at her desk. "Perhaps thats an omen of bad luck coming my way."
