Are you in a activity that requires you to be around your peers on almost a daily basic, and sometimes changing in front of each other, come into close contact or spend the night togther in a hotel or bus setting and mabey forced to learn personal information about one another? (like sports, marching band, or somthing simular) If yes..... Do they know about your sexual status and if so how did they reacted? or are you still in the closet to them and is it hard to keep it a secret? do you plan on telling them?

uhhh.. i'm a gay dancer..? out of thirty-two people in my company there are four guys and only one is straight. a homophobic dancer is kind of an oxymoron, don'tcha think? anywho, they didn't have a problem with it; i was already out before i joined the company.
.. yea. p=

I'm on swim team, which requires me to hang loose around a bunch of other guys my age... I'm not too sure if they know I am gay though. It really isn't a big deal. I don't exactly think it is obvious, but they could have heard it from someone. Oh well, we all have no problems showering in the same room together.
I also have sleepovers all the time with my male chums (who for sure know I'm gay) and they don't even have problems with even sleeping in the same bed as me. I'm happy that my sexuality doesn't distance myself from any of my male friends. I don't see why it should for other gay people, either.

as for me.....Im in marching band in one of the gayest sections (the french horns) and when I say gayest I mean gayest....our section has two straight people in it and one of them is a girl. Im also in choir which I thought was very staight in ninth grade due to all the football players and sports players in the men's choir, but have been that so far there are 4 other bi/homosexuals in the mens choir, three play football and two play on varsity team. For me every one knows (I wear a rainbow braclet so people will know without asking me) and every one is cool with it. for rest....some to none know.

Used to be on the basketball varsity back in high school. I don't remember any real problems with my team mates back then, even in the shower room. Well, I don't think sudden a** grabbing among friends would count as a "problem", even if they knew I was gay and had the hots for more than one emmber on the team.
God, I miss high school.
...
I never though I'd say that.

I'm actually straight, but I have many many friends who are gay. Females and males alike. I'm completely comfortable with them, because I know that they don't hit on anybody with a pulse. (well - I wouldn't worry about the gay men hitting one me.. - )
If it's possible for a girl to be friends with a guy - then it's completely possible for a lesbian to be friends with a girl.
Some people just think that if you're a girl and you meet a lesbian, she automatically likes you. rolleyes

Attending a public school does, of course, place me in a position rather like that. Usually it's random events that place me into more intimate situations (i.e. changing in front of each other or spending a lot of time together), but it does happen.
I'm pretty obvious about my sexuality--I have no qualms about saying to friends that that girl/boy/whatever is hot. It's not as in-your-face as some approaches, but I'm a little blatant sometimes. Most people just stared at me, or blinked, or something similar. I've caused a couple of people more severe discomfort, but I'm not usually that close with them anyway. In general, my friends and acquaintances accepted it and moved on.
And hey, my girl friends and I (straight and otherwise) often hug and hold hands and act like we're flirting. Why not? It's fun. 3nodding

No, I used to be in a PE class, but that was about 3 years ago. I am in dance, but I am the only guy who changes into dance clothes, consequently I am the only one in the locker room, so I don't have to worry about that.
I was never really like any of the guys, even the gay guys. All guys seem to have this sex drive that I lack. Its not that I don't have one, its just I must have alot of control over it maybe? sweatdrop sweatdrop sweatdrop

I used to be in marching band, and the section I was in was the most gay. The low brass. Fortunatly I switched to guard, it made me happy. biggrin
I've had to change in front of all the guys in band, but we didn't have to get naked or anything, and I've had to spend nights with some of them. Most of those were a little uncomfortable, but I repeatedly stated that I would not come on to any of them.
As if I were attracted to those nasty boys *puke*

I used to live in Kentcky. They didn't like the idea of gay people and most took bi as a defensive measure. People never bothered me there for being gay because I think they were scared of me lol Now, I live in San Francisco and all the rolls have been completely reversed: The straight people are out of place and you can't go two blocks without bumping in to a pride-wearing full-blown flamer.

Which may be due, in part, to me being into romance, and like, you know, loving someone before sex...though even with that ideal, I have not been the best at obeying it....one bloody time....
