I'm in the process of begging my mother for tickets for this show, and I was just wondering: has anyone seen it?
I've heard a few songs, and they've earned a permanent place on my MP3 player, and I've seen a few clips. From what I hear, its a creative, funny show.
The Broadway theatre (Circle in the Square) sounds interesting (you see 3 sides of the stage instead of 1), and my mother's friend has been in that theatre and said you can't get bad seats in there.

It's actually in San Fransisco right now...I should go and see it...

I bought the soundtrack for my friends for her birthday and burned myself a copy. I love it! *fangirl scream*

I have never seen it, but I know the plot and have memorized the entire cd (I'm just that scary).

They actually pick people from the audience to go on stage and spell (well, they pick them in the lobby).

My friends went and saw it and she said it was wonderful.

Spelling Bee is an excellent musical <3

I adore it.

There's some brilliantly funny songs like: My Unfortunate Erection, I'm not that Smart and I always giggle along to I speak six languages.

And then really touching moments like 'The I love you Song'. Beautiful.

Good luck with getting tickets!

I just hope it comes over to England, I bet it won't though D:

I don't know if anyone has heard, but Spelling be had to close a few weeks ago.

It makes me sad because I wanted to see it, I've seen/heard numerous clips and wish I could've seen a live version of it! gonk

Yeah, unfortunately, it did...

Though, somewhere between the time this thread was made (Jeez, how long ago...?) and now, I have been able to see it (With most of the original cast, booyah! Jesse Tyler Fergasun owns). Twas AMAZING!

I saw it when it toured to Ohio. Amazing to say the least.

I'm not going to be repetitive and say the songs off of the album like everyone else has, but I am going to say that some of the sentences given by the judge are absolutely outrageous.

It's coming to my hometown!
WOO! Got tickets already. I'm so excited, I've heard some of the songs and many good reviews from friends.
