Im a very big person on telling the truth, i hate lying and people who lie alot, purely because it demotes themselves and others.

One of my "Friends" who uses Gaia (He isnt a friend more of a jerk from school.) tells alot of lies in order to gain popularity with members, for instance he goes on bragging about his four years of Japanese Study and how good he is at it, now i do Japanese with him, and i know exactly what he does and even more (Probably because im part Japanese) and since he gets beaten by about 3 other people in the class of 8, i feel bad that he is talking himself up (he claims he got top marks etc). Also he claims to be popular with ladies and good at both sport and academics, when he is rather good at some sports who claims to be a natural at every sport he posts about and amazingly smart (when he is smart yes, but nothing special). Now usually i would go call BS on this but i just can't be bothered.

What im asking really is should i confront him outside of Gaia about this and whats your opinion about lying to gain social status/popularity.

My opinion on lying is that its not good, if you cant get people to like you for your natural talents and your personality then its not worth lying about it.

Lying is bad, especially to gain a social position. At some point it wil become evident thatall of those were lies, and he'll fall back down to lower than ewhere he was to begin with. At least then you could say "I told you so"

Its the intrawebz, it doesnt really matter does it?
I mean, one of these days, if you're really pissed off you could cut his act and ridiculize him, if he doesnt manage to do that himself by that time rolleyes

i'm not big on lairs either but there is very little you can do i think the best thing you can do is leave him alone because one day he'll get whats coming for him

sounds like someone I knew but I didn't care enough to so much as listen to them once I found out they were lieing to me about everything....wonder where thy are now, hope it's not any where good 4laugh
