Making up the heart of Jahazi Island, the forest covers much of its middle and its eastern half, fading into grassland as it reaches west. The forest is made up of a number of different trees, including the Acacia, the Thorn Tree, and the occasional bulging Baoab. Among the trees towards the eastern end of the forest is a feeding center filled weekly with edible vegetation and fruits primarily intended for the primate populace of the island, but also potentially intended to cater to elephants, bongo, and okapi. The western end of the forest is one of the drop-off points for the slaughtered livestock that make up the main diet of the island's predators. To the north of the forest's embrace are rocky cliffs, to the south a stretch of sand and a gentle beach.
