Hello all!
I'm surfing the web, and found one of my long time favorite comic strips, For Better or For Worse. I've been catching up with the Pattersons for the past 30 minutes! I've grown up with this strip since Michael was just a kid and Lizardbreath was his nemisis. blaugh It's a strip I can talk to my buddies about, even those who aren't that big into comics.
So, my question to you is, what newspaper comic strip is your favorite -- or even one of your favorites? And please let us know why! Share the love! heart

I'm not really a fan of newspaper comics, but Peanuts and Garfield were awesome. I love the webcomics Penny Arcade and VG Cats though.

(I apologize in advance, I'm typing on a laptop that's different to me, so if I miss a letter here and there, chalk it up to light fingers!) Garfield was awesome, but now the jokes are getting a bit repetitive. I'll still love him, though! I just got a pink present! Huzzah! Two events on the same boards. Gotta love that heart Web comics are great as well. I read Dominic Deegan, Friendly Hostility, Strange Candy and 8-Bit Theater. I read more, but I don't want to hog the space. My favorites list on AOL is terribly long redface I have yet to read Penny Arcade and VG Cats, but trust me, I'll get around to it. My friend asked me last night if I read Penny Arcade, so I guess I'll have to take a look-see.

Penny Arcade and VG Cats are amazing. And, I read some 8-bit theater, but never really got a chance to read enough to know a lot about it.

It's worth the time! (RE: 8-Bit) Especially if you know a little about the realm of Final Fantasy. I've never played I or II, but I knew enough about the series to follow it. Heck, it's probably not even required knowledge! But the writing is great, and the sprites are awesome. And I'll check out VG and Penny!

OnsenMark Fox Trot. PLus I'm big on old Bloom County and Doonesbury. As far as webcomics, Something Positive, Little Gamers, Sinfest, and Chugworth Academy all rock the universe. XD I love Bloom County and Doonsbury. I loved waiting to see what Opus would do next. and with Doonsbury, I loved it (well, still do) when elections came around. The switchover of icons for the Presidents was great! Fox Trot is still relatively "new" to my city. We started carrying it in our paper about two years ago. S*P -- I've read just a portion. It was when Queen of Wands crossed with it. They were hilarious. ...Can anyone believe that Cathy is married??? I never thought that was going to happen!! eek

Yup, she married Irving. If you're a FF nut, you'll LOVE 8-bit. I need to break out the old skool FF's. I have 5&6, and I think I have I and II -- I'll have to take a look see.
Anyone else read Funky Winkerbean? That's also an oldie but goodie that's still around. I'm 99% sure that it and Crankshaft are set in my state of Ohio. Not denial. Ohio.

Never even heard of it. xp 8-bit is pretty awesome from what I've read. I've watched a few flash movies inspired by them. Anyone read MegaTokyo?

I've read MegaTokyo. I bought vol 1 of their series last year. I haven't read it in a loooong time. I really don't know why. Wait, maybe I do. I think I reached a part where the plot stopped and they were doing filler stuff, so I forgot to check back in. redface

For newspaper comics I like Foxtrot, Dilbert and Zits.
I like Dilbert the best. I don't why...
As for webcomics, the only one I read on a regular basis is ElGoonishShive. I have read some of VGCats and Goats though.

I have read some of VGCats and Goats though. Dilbert is great too. A lot of good ones out there! Zits reminds me a little of FBoFW, but just a smidge. I like it. I knew a lot of guys like that when I went to High School. Family Circus is always cool -- I love Billy's wanderings. He hasn't done that for awhile.
