In the July issue of EGM (Electronic Gamer Monthly) They had stated that SQUARE-ENIX would in fact be re-making FFVII for release next year, It is absolutely false! Real Info In a move sure to surprise absolutely no one whatsoever, Square Enix had some choice words to share in response to the latest rumors regarding a possible Final Fantasy VII remake. The June 2006 issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly stirred up plenty of speculation and "confirmation" talk after the magazine stated that a remake was in the works. "Last year," the caption stated, "Square Enix teased everyone with that it called the 'FFVII PS3 tech demo.' Well, what do you know: This test case was really a sneak peek at a next-gen revival of the PS1 role-playing hit." Square Enix denied the rumor as speculation: "Since the Final Fantasy VII tech demo at E3 2005, there have been a lot of rumors about the presentation hinting at an actual remake. While the June 2006 issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly confirms the remake for release in 2007, Square Enix has never stated this." The company then followed up by reaffirming the development of Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII for the Playstation 3, as well as Final Fantasy Agito XIII for mobile devices as part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis Project. ~RpgGamer Okay, Just clearing up confusion yet again as I'm losing my temper over this stupid rumour again! gonk

Eh,I gave up on gaming magazines a long time ago,all of them are far to biased as far as I'm concerned.

There have always been rumours of a remake, and I am sure that there will be one but they would have to do it after a big tech jump or else it is going to fall flat on its face.

yes but FFXI is so boring its not really an FF game its an FF themed mmorpg its a discrace in my opinon im not to sure about the rumor though from what i heard its gunna be on ps3 but seeing as AC is out and last order i wouldnt put it past Square to re-do it seing as it was the most succesful FF ever 3nodding

Which is true, I can agree with you on that, Though I'm still mad at SQUARE-ENIX for cancelling the Final Fantasy VIII Remake on PS2....*Grumbles*....It looked so good!
As they had set everything up for it and had even rendered scenes like the The Dance in PS2 Graphics....but it was cancelled at the last minute if my memory is correct.
*Sighs* It's one of the days I feel like complaining yet again......

Remakes of 7 and 8 would be cool. Call it like final fantasy dreams or Final Fantasy revelations/revolutions . or something cool like that lol. Make it a two disk set and set it for ps2 or ps3
