How much time had passed since the shadows had cast their eerie blotch over the sky? Was it night..or had he just blacked out again? Whipping the sleep from his eyes he stared down dumbfounded at the pallet of papers that had earlier been taken with Zak on this venture through the thicket.
Picking up the papers he clicked the flashlight, no luck, hitting the object into his palm it flickered slightly and went out again.
Batteries must have run out again..I told Jess to recharge them but she was probably too busy making googly eyes with Jae.. hmph ''Oh Jaaaaae, you're so great'' Ewww that's nasty, you'd think my sister of all people would have better taste. Really I mean he's a...
Lurching forward from a stir in the bush. Hitting the flashlight once more into his palm, the blaze of light flooded the visage. Witch a sigh of relief he kicked a nearby paper bag.
I'm too on edge for this..betteries going dead..and I can't draw in the dark. I'll have to come out tomorrow. I bet Jess is worried...right she has Jae to fill her mind, why would she even notice I was gone.
Shuffling his feet he stopped infront of a small body of water that the moon cast it's figure upon, like dancing nymphs of the night. Sighing once more Zak sat, leaning on a dreadfully shapped tree and began to sketch the scene of beautiful rapture set forth befor him.

Coughing as her head emerged from the dark water, the girl began to gasp for air. Her long, dark hair was clinging around her shoulders as she made her way to the banks~ How long had she been held under water? How long had she been holding her breathe?
Thump~
Falling onto a patch of soft grass, Azule rolled over~ It was warmer in the water.

Watching the scene unfold he moved away for a split second half afraid of the girl..watching stupid swamp man with Jae was a mistake. But seeing as this girl wasn't green and scaley he crawled toward her.
Grabbing a long stick he poked at the girl from the lake and sighed with a disgusted look seeing her not move. He threw the stick to the side and crawled closer. Poking at her stomache with alittle pressure to see if she'd react.
Finally, growing weary of the thought of being suspected of murder or something he sat her up and put his jacket around her shoulders took off his hat and placed her hands inside of it. Wrapping his arms around her he tried to level out her body temp, he heard something about raising it too fast would cause death or something..who knows. But having some girl with her looks in his jacket and arms, he didn't mind the details.
Anyone home?
He spoke waving a hand infront of her face trying to make sure she was even alive to begin with.

Groaning as some idiot ( xD ) began to poke and move her around as if she were a dead body, Azule opened her eyes. Couldn't this person tell she was still breathing?! Though she was grateful for the warmth, this was just too weird for her~ What was someone, other than her, doing in the woods ( ? ) at this time of night?
"You don't have to poke me so hard, you know. I am breathing..."
Realizing that she was resting in a stranger's, no a man's, arms... Azule tensed~
"Oh, uh... Sorry for troubling you... Thanks."
Raising her hand to brush away the hair that fell in her face, Azule blinked. Why hadn't she noticed this hat in her hand? Examining it for a few seconds, Azule looked up.
"You... know... you didn't have to do this..."
Placing the hat back on his head, Azule smiled. It had been a good while since she had recieved this much concern from someone.
(( Swamp monster? xD Oh, that's grand. ))

Tugging back and forth on the hat, slipping it back and forth to make it comfortable and hide all his hat hair. Wiggling around uncomfortably in the girls veiw.
Well I was just uh..
falling short of words as he noticed he still had ahold of the girl. Nearly hurting himself to back away he tried to speak again, stuttering.
I ..I ..I was uh just...well
Not exactly knowing how to explain his actions with the poking and the reason he was even out here to begin with.
I was just uh..worried you might have ..caught.. pausing he thought and shook his head at himself. It's not really safe to go swimming this time of night in this season, y'know..sorry for the poking..I didn't really want to go through the trouble of warming a dead body..and..uh..don't mention it.
He frowned slightly as he rose to his feet, extending his hand to help her up.

Undressing the ground with her eyes, Azule began to hunt for her belongings. She remembered placing everything behind a nearby bush~ But, which one was it? Standing up, Azule looked back at her 'savior' curiously. Why was he so jumpy? Had she done something wrong?
"But that's what's so great about it~ You'll never know who'll be poking you with a stick."
Laughing, Azule winked at... Wait, she hadn't asked for his name yet! Tilting her head, to think over her new discovery... Azule spotted her flashlight~
"Ah-ha! There you are!"
Reaching out to grab a flashlight and what looked to be a small backpack of sorts, Azule turned on the flashlight~
"My name is Azule by the way~"

Flinching at the sudden burst of light Zak stared silently as she introduced herself thinking to himself about her name and the way she looked, like any guy would.
Oh..uh..I'm Ta...er..Zak. It's nice to meet you Azule..
Picking up his sketchpad and flashlight, a few loose drawings fell out as he russled the notbook around while looking for his back pack to put them up. Not noticing for a moment while he tried to keep his eyes away from the girl's cold grey eyes. He hadn't noticed before but when she was messing with her hair, he could plainly see the blue tint to it. Though it hadn't struck him as odd because he lived with a watermelon head.
If you..don't mind me asking..why were you out here any..way?
stopping himself from stuttering enough to talk to her he stared down at the papers that had fallen out and started picking them up.

Setting her flashlight on the ground, Azule reached out to pick up some of the papers he had dropped. His drawings were drop dead gorgeous! Taking her time to look over what she had in her hands, Azule finally fixed her grey eyes on Zak.
"It's a pleasure meeting you, Taerzak...~ These are very nice..."
Pausing for a moment, Azule's eyes drifted back to the piece of paper at the top of her stack. She couldn't believe her eyes! His art... It looked like photographs!
"There's nothing for me to go home to~ So, I stay out here! I enjoy the solitude."

Blinking at what she had called him, Taerzak? The stuttering must have made her thing otherwise.
It's..Taziki..
He paused as he saw the picture in her hand, flinching and snatching it away from her and shoving it back in the bag.
What do you mean, what's nice I saw nothing, noartherenuhuhIdon'tsee nothing!
He laughed nervously glancing side to side before calming at her last words..''no place to go home to''.
That's not right..one so bea....er young shouldn't be homeless, you sure there's nowhere for you? I mean, I have some roomies that probably wouldn't...mind.....you....
He stopped and dropped his head, what was he saying? They'd drive her nuts, Jae would probably make google eyes with her, Jess would get pissed..and Tek...well...er.
Well..it would be better than..
Looking around quietly, he paused, wondering if these surroundings were better suited to her likings.
If not, I could keep you company for the night. Make sure you don't drowned.
He held back a snicker and glanced at her before looking back to the ground.

Staring at her now empty hands for a good five minute, Azule's lips slowly formed an 'o'. Why didn't he want her to see his drawings? Blinking, Azule's head shook no. She was positive that she had seen the drawings, there was no way of denying it. But, from the way he reacted~ It seemed as if Tazaki were guilty of something! Had he stolen it?!
"Oh uhm... I have a home... I just... It's... How do I put this... not homely."
Reaching up to comb through her navy threads (with her fingers) , Azule smiled. Would he really offer her a place to stay? And stay the night with her?

Well..like I uh..
You can stay if you want. I'll keep the others out of your hair.
Turning away he rustled some papers and pulled one out..handing it to her. One he had drawn just moment before, of the moon cascading off the banks of the eerie pond/lake/river.
You can..have it, if you want. Just don't..
well..don't tell anyone. Alright?
He closed his bag uneasily and stood, swinging it around to his back. Looking toward the water once more before turning to the girl.

Cracking a smile, Azule thanked Tazaki for his gift~ Why was this boy being so kind to her? Didn't he had somewhere else to be? --- Someone else to care for? Fixing her eyes on the portrait, Azule nodded.
"Sure~ But... What about your roomies?"

I don't think they'll have a problem..if I have a talk with them..
Had he gotten used to talking to her? Was it easier now? He wasn't as tense as before.
But you may wanna look out for mr..Melon head..or as the others call him Jae..He's been known to sweep girls off their feet with his ''charming'' personality. Load of bull if you ask me. Big Dunce is what he is. Always going through my things and leaving the fridge open. Don't get me wrong..we hang out and do stuff..but he's still a moron.
Stopping he looked for a reaction after noticing that he had begun to ramble on about the guy. Shaking his head he looked up through the trees to the clearly starlit sky.
I guess I can see why you like it out here.

Giggling at the nickname Tazaki had givin Jae, Azule snorted. Watermelon head? What have given him the idea of calling Jae that? Pondering over it as they walked, Azule grew weary of it~ She could figure it out when they met face to face.
"Yea~ It's relaxing..."
Jumping from the sudden noise made from the bushes, Azule screeched and clung onto Tazaki's arm~ What could it be?
"Zak~"
She muttered as she buried her face in the side of his arm.

Hatatatataaa!
Losing his footing from the shock of the girl drawing near to him he started towards the ground, flailing his arms about like an idiot, grabbing for something to stop him from falling, but failed in any attempt and fell on his face, knees on the ground and rear sticking up in the air.
Losing all will to stand up he just sat the for a moment before rolling himself over with a stupid look on his face. Could he even spare himself the embarassment and stand up after that?
Finally after staring at the sky or maybe just zoned out he brought himself to sit up. Stupid move on his part, probably better to have crawled into a nearby bush and died there.
Nyaa..that really hurt.
Rubbing his face he could feel spots of mud caked on his face.
