Just outside the medieval little rural village of Grendell, there is an old estate. The lands are vast and long ago, must have been beautiful. However, no one alive anymore remembers that time. No one even remembers who originally owned the place. The lands are over grown, the carefully pruned and cared for plants gone feral. The only thing that separates the Estate from the surrounding wilderness is the high, black iron fence that surrounds the property.
However, neither the property itself, nor the fence is what makes this place so special. For at the very center of this place, is a Mansion. Long left to disrepair and decay, it still manages to retain a feeling of power surrounding it. Perhaps because it was built to contain a power. But no one remembers any more. Not a one. But that doesn't mean people don't wonder.
