Welcome all,
Remember one thing, Airsoft is a rich man's sport. Up here we are all pretty much expected to put down at least 1000 dollars for initial gear.
Although we buy the more expensive guns, but we're all over 18 and many have careers.
Lots of Local Police, Ex and current army.
Just think of it this way. You all have lots of time to save up, and do research for the gun that will suit you best.
A more expenisve gun will do you better in the long run, you will have it fore more than half a year.

Oops, forgot to add experience: Sniper for two years with an accuracy rating of 87%
