If you want to capture the most powerful Mewtwo in existance, make sure you save before you fight Mewtwo. Check the stats when you catch it, if they're low, reset and try again. This is the best stats:
Mewtwo
Nature: Timid
Level 70
HP: 250
Attack: 161
Defense: 152
Speed: 228
Special Attack: 242
Special Defense: 152

I did play 'em but my brother always retstarted my games or hogged it all day so I couldn't play, I never finished.
