has anyone heard anything new about the movies? ive been hearing alot about them and they are supposed to come out sometime this year i think. matt groening has said that the movies are real.

All I know is that Matt G. HAS verified that it is in production and can be expected to be seen out sometime in 2007 smile

Are these movies going to be recut into separate episodes for TV? I'd heard a while ago that that might be a possibility.

There are going to be four, count 'em FOUR movies, the first of which will be released November 27th, 2007. They'll be presented in widescreen format (sucks for me, I have regular TV, but I'll get them anyways) and they'll be made into the episodes on CC, but edited for TV so they can be their own episodes, but also be a continuing storyline as well.
the titles of the four movies are as follows:
1.Bender's Big Score
2.The Beast with a Billion Backs
3.Bender's Game
4.Into the wild Green Yonder
