Post all of your strategies for gameplay here, be they general strategies or just character specific strategies. All of the Guilty Gear games are covered in this thread. Naturally, I understand that now and then some strategies are going to show up in other threads, but if you plan on doing any serious listing or analyzations, do them here.

Can someone clearly explain Sol's dust loop to me? Because I've never seen it. Just give me a rundown on how it works

GCC forums....I was once a resident poster in there. Now it's just a place of bad memories.

I'm no sol player, but I get Pwnz0red by that stupid Dust loop all the time. Basically you do his command throw near a corner....then you dust...over and over again. Well that's one setup. I think it was like, on your first jump you had to airdust twice, land, jump, airdust three times and...

or something like that. Sorry i couldn't be of any help.

I saw a short combo video of him, I only remember one part of it when he uses: 2+D, 236+K, 236+P FRC, jump over then 623+K, AirD x6, AirK, AirS, AirD, 623+HS, 214+K

So it's just pretty much try to get the opponent in the air, it works most effective when they are near end walls, you can go almost forever possibly...

If you read the reload strategy thread on the main fighting game forum there is a huge introductory to sol. Nobody should be complaining about sol he isn't even top tier. If anything I don't like about him is the dragon punch rc run up mixup because I never react with a reversal backdash. Basically it is 3 reps of jump dust x2 which does alot of damage with many practical setups. In #r it is changed by being made to combo only from normal jumps(you can include one super jump in the combo) unlike xx where you can super jump dust dust all day(not to be confused with an infinite just speaking in general as in the 3 reps).

The only thing that could classify as an infinite is the slayer bite loop and I don't classify that since you don't want to follow up with another biteloop wrather. In #reload there is a infinite with zappa on standing chars with his dog that isn't that practical and a Jam iad vs potemkin infinite which I never see. People exaggerate or complain too much about what they don't know and spread useless information. xp

I must admit that there were times when I abused the bite infinite. Not often, mind you. And only against the CPU

I don't have shame in using infinites unless the general rules in tourneys is to ban it. It is a major factor of slayers game and it helped me get through survival mode very easily too. ;D

That's why I torture n00bs with it. xp


Anyways. The Jam infinite on Potempkin was only possible in GGX through the Faultless defense Cancel glitch. They took that out and you can't really do it properly anymore.

You don't know what you are talking about, with the slayer bite infinite in xx you cancel a dash midway into commandthrow by jump cancelling basically it works in this order.(A dash can be cancelled into a jump and the first part of a jump frame can be cancelled into a move, thus if you do the motion*LOOK AT YOUR NUMBER PAD ON YOUR KEYBOARD*6632147hs You get the dash out it buffers into the half circle back you get a jump and the hs is hit before a jump is visable to come out. THIS ALLOWS YOU TO MAKE THE LOOP FLAWLESS AND NOT ALLOW YOUR OPPENENT OUT. FDC is taken out mostly except for some stuff that works for gameplay like with faust/chipp(nothing comboable.) Jams infinite works with instant airdash punches into hs. Sorry. crying

I don't think I ever use Slayer's backwards dash when I need to make a quick escape. I just FRC his dandy step
