One time I cried for half an hour because the page that Strum dies on was ripped out of the library book. Then, when I finally got to read that page, I cried again because his death was so lame that I couldn't beleive I had wasted a half hour crying over. I cried when all of the companions died, that was my only funny story though.

I cried at the end of Dragons of Sumer flame when...IF YOU HAVENT READ IT DON'T READ ON!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tasselhoff dies crying other than that I manage not to cry. Though I did shed a single manly tear in House of Flying Daggers (such a beautiful movie)...
I laughed when a friend told me her favorate Harry Potter Character died...I'm cold hearted like that...
I didn't even cry at the end of Legends when my favorated character "dies". I found it a fitting end to him.
But for some reason, when it came to Tas, I cried like a 4 year old girl with a skinned knee... redface

I cried too, Tas is awesome. I can't remember if I cried for Raist...

Just go with the "It was a fitting end to the mage" thing. I couldn't see him going out any other way than that.

I'm such a sap for books. :XP: I swear my empathy kicks in the most when I'm reading. I cried for about 30 minutes when Flint died and pretty much every allusion to it after that. I've cried during a few other events in DL, but I can't really remember them right now... sweatdrop

LOL
Just wait till you read Dragons of Summer Flame...if you fell in love with the characters in chronicles be prepared to be in tears for nearly the whole book...especially the scene with Raistlin (yes...he's back...) and his brother. (Very touching reunion)

Does anyone have a timeline of all the books chronologically? I seem to have misplaced mine...
PostPosted: Wed May 31, 2006 11:32 am

It goes: Soulforge, Brothers in Arms, Chronicles, Legends, Second Generation, Dragons of a Summer Flame, War of Souls, and the Amber ones. mrgreen

I myself came close to crying a few times, but I'm afraid the only story that actually elicited tears out of me was Trigun...I'm pretty empathetic, I welled up and came close, but never actually spilled them, even when my favorite characters died. Maybe because sometimes it seems like W & H seem to hack off a character in each book so I've become numb to it...

Who, me? Yeah, those were sad... I read that book almost two years ago, though. I'm rereading now, and just passed where Tanis dies. Yup, it's a sad way for a character to end.

Thank you. whee

Oh my monkey Trigun is a tearjerker. eek Princess Tutu (The name is extremely sappy, but after taking dance and ballet, you understand the main character's point of view) was also one that made me cry at the end. gonk

I'm not sure if I ever cried or not during Dragon Lance, Raistlin and The Event that Made RaK Cry might have brought me close, but that's it.

Also, for the record, Trigun (my fave anime of all time!) did make me cry, just after er... the bit in the church. And the ending too, but that was a different sort of crying. That was more of a YAY crying.

Yeah I cried like a 3 year old finding out the tooth fairy isnt real, when Tas died.
But I actually wasnt that sad when Tanis died..yeah I was like "Whoa" But I didnt really even come close to being sad.
I dunno but he didnt really connect with me.
I thought of him as a bland character.

I liked Tanis... I fell in love with him the first time I read the series. I didn't want to read the parts without Tanis... pathetic, I know...

Spoiler! The first time Tas died, or the second? End Spoiler
