cherubim kitty Veruvi picked her way daintly after Lincoln, as he made his amusing way towards the two new comers. Unfortunately, she wasn't careful and as she caught up with the dog, she tripped letting out a small sound. Veruvi fell face first into the dirt. The elf looked up in surprise from the unsuspected face plant.
Getting up slowly, she said a little bit sheepishly, "Um...sorry...but nice to meet you two!" Veruvi brushed off the dirt and straightened up her clothes. Her brother alarm went off in her head, spawning images of how Illien would have reacted if he saw the scene. The girl shook the thoughts away and took a look around, "I'm sure something tripped me..."
Behind her was the culprit. A nice sized stick was laying innocently behind her. Veruvi turned around with a swirl, "Ohhhh~ So it was you~" she bent over and picked up a stick. Her eyes brightened, "I found one!"Kolina Tuyen smiled at the older boy, practically oblivious to his flirtacious manners as was her sister. The two only took notice to how kind this Lincoln was. Afterall, the girls had never rally got any attention from boys before. Their brother had always made certain to scare any prospective boys away should the poor fellas even look at the twins wrong. Tuyet's attention was pulled from Lincoln as Veruvi fell to the ground. "Oh!" She was about to rush forward when Veruvi got to her feet and began to dust herself off. In fact, Tuyet couldn't help but giggle as Veruvi happily announced her discovery. Tuyen looked to Veruvi with a smie. "You picked the hardway to find that one." Tuyet bounced on the balls of her feet before walking up to Lincoln and wrapping an arm around his. It was something she did with her older brother at times when she wished to hurry him along. "Well, let's get looking. We don't want them to run out of marshmellows before we get back." Tuyen nodded. "Yea, or chocolate." She laughed and walked over to Veruvi. "Well you have yours. Are you going to join us or head back to the gathering?" Tuyen hoped that Veruvi would stay with them. She had only just met the girl afterall and she wanted to get to know her better.
Nikkio ((XD Poor Linc. I'm not sure if he's gaining more friends or enemies at this point... but it's extremely fun either way.L: Glad you think so-.-;; then again.... TWINS! *score* How OOC of you!L: Naturally. *blink* Point taken.)) "Oh! Watch your step, there." Lincoln looked Veruvi once over to make sure she hadn't torn anything, clothing or otherwise. "You all right? Brilliant work on finding another for us but I agree with Madam Tuyen there. I wouldn't want to exchange a happy Veruvi for a few sticks." He chuckled. "It wouldn't do to bring you back injured, would it? How horrible would I- ooh!" He was distinctly aware of his other arm being cuddled. His tail gave a little wag. What can he say, he adored love and attention. 'Tis a dog's life. He nodded his head to the shorter dragon girl. "As you say, miss. You're quite a convincing talker. We'll need, let's see... 4 plus 2 equals SIX in all, right ladies?" cherubim kitty Veruvi linked her arms with Tuyen's in response, "I'm going to stay~ I won't leave without everybody so we can all go s'mores making together." She said descively. She bubbled her response back at Tuyen's sister and Lincoln, "Don't worry! I'm usually pretty clumsy so I'm used to it. My brother always makes a fuss but I always turn out okay," the elf bubbled reassuringly.
Six sticks? Hmmm...but she found one so that means six minus one. "I think it's five isn't it? Since I found one~"Kolina Tuyet looked at Lincoln. "Six? But there are only four of us. How could we need six?" She looked over the small group just to make sure she hadn't missed anyone in the shadows. Tuyen looked to Lincoln. "Are you getting sticks for other people?" Nikkio "Then we need three, if we're counting that way." He held up the two sticks (A/N: Didn't think to bold them before. Me bad. Will go back and fix sometime X3~) he'd found so far. "Actually, yes- we're here on behalf of ourselves and a pair of others, two redheads. They're getting the ingredients ready for us while we do our expert stick-hunting." He winked. "For who would know more about good sticks than a canine?"Kashin November, with his free hand, accepted Dr. Oberts and shook it enthusiastically, November Bomber, at your service I suppose. His smile, at first chary, went to one that would make a better first impression. Sure, what could be easier than guard chocolate and watch kids run around with sticks? He returned the sarcasm with a bit of his own, more lighthearted than the formers. And I suppose when we feel the need, to help ourselves to some sweets?[ The Fool ] Fixing the hat upon her head, she sat on a nearby rock and crossed her legs together, her hand cupping her chin as her right elbow used her knee as a support. Curious, yet bored, eyes scanned across the area and observed the children nearby. Next to her was a bag of goodies which contained small gifts left over from the Easter event. Her job? Just to keep a lookout for anyone mischievous or those that chose to run off into the cornered-off areas. This was a forest and that meant it was rather easy for a child to get lost. The last thing they needed was another search for missing kids. Well, not really but she was just tired from working at the clinic yesterday.
Cybille let out a sigh, stretching out her arms towards the sky and peered over to a group of young teens. They were happily conversing and roasting their marshmallows above the fire, some were unaware of theirs burning strangely enough. A smile appeared on her lips as she recognized a number of them, remembering a few from the accident which left another scar in her life and felt rather relieved they were alright now. The past was the past and it was best not to recall of what she saw back in the train station, seeing how it was not meant to be of happy thoughts.
So what was there to do besides hawk her eyes around? Shrugging her shoulders, she idly redid her tie and then noticed a small stick on the ground, lying there, lifeless as it should be. Cybille reached down to pick it up, studying the branch as if it was the most fascinating thing she had ever seen. There were scratches and scraps along the sides while sharp pointed tips topped it off to be the perfect tool to stab through the chewy white treat.Werewolf "Bunny!" Was all the small girl could manage, as she stretched out her tiny fingers to remove it from Zeral's grasp. Excitedly, she bounced, and smiled. "Chocolate and bunnies." She repeated steadily, and almost rather seriously, before neglecting the bunny and instead, latching herself around Zeral's waist. "Thank you." She spoke softly and nodded her head against him. Gently she pulled away, picking up the bunny from his fingers, and pressing the fluffed creature against her chest.
"Probably things left over from Easter." She remarked, pulling back and peering at the rabbit's black eyes. She had always adored rabbits. They were small and fast- much like she tried to be. She didnt know any rabbits that became people, but she should like to think that if ever there was a rabbit person, it was she. Of course, this was largely influenced on a book she had been reading. But such was any child's mind.
"I think everyone is starting to eat." She spoke, pressing her fingers to his wrist and the rabbit to her elbow. "We'd better get some!" Minari Aware that he was A). No longer needed and B). quite possibly being an annoyance, Chwen turned away from the other boy. A thought struck him. He had originally come to this bonfire for his sisters' supervision, had he not? And yet he had yet to see them here. Now common sense told him that it was still light out to be worried, but, fancy that, he wasn't listening. Keeping his voice calm, he addressed his companions, "Excuse me, I hate to take up any more of your time, but you haven't seen two girls, this tall," he gestured, "running around, have you? Only, I think I may have misplaced them." Xenostatica Milly shook her hand a little from the whack from her marshmallow stick, they must of plotted against her eating them, but that wasn't as important as what this boy was asking about two girls, her ears twitched as she kissed her hand. "Girls running around?" Milly tried to think back but it was hopeless as she had just gotten there and she was talking to someone she had not met before so helping him was a little unusual, but she asked none the less for ware.Minari Judging by her tone and the look on her face, Chwen assumed that the girl had not seen his sisters. Crestfallen but not defeated, he kept the nonchalant expression on his face. It never helped to let people know you were worried. They rather resemble myself. If you see them, will you tell them their brother is looking for them? So long as it's no trouble, of course? His mind on auto, Chwen's mind ticked off the places they were likely to be lurking. Chocolate stashes were the first on the list, second being around the fire, but where then? Those two could get anywhere, honestly.Xenostatica Milly smiled and nodded as she listened to him. She would keep a close eye out and let him know, but she could search with him, four eyes were better then two right? She took a deep breath, "I'm Milly Hearts by the way..." she stuck her hand to shake his, "I'll be glad to help you, have any ideas where they could have gone?"Minari He too her hand and shook it, again on auto. Chwen Nguyen. It's a pleasure, Miss Hearts. Then he cocked an eyebrow. Have I what? Oh, thank you! Um, Tuyen loves chocolate and they're always together, so I think that would be our best bet, but... really, don't go out of your way for my sake. He knew he was being foolish and that he was much more likely to find them if he had help, but old habits die hard. Xenostatica Milly smiled, "It's really not out of my way, remember I need ingredients to make my smores in the first place and if they are there well that kills two birds with one stone." She nodded as she knew that her logic was not negotiatable. "Besides," she smiled, "Chwen, you seem stressed and to call me Ms. Hearts means that you have the idea of your sister without supervision as an absurd idea. So wouldn't you like the company and help?"Raja He allowed his sister to snag the figure in her moent of glee. Two things his sister liked quite a lot in the same evening, she'd certainly enjoy herself at this rate. Setting marshmellows on fire(though he pictured that as something for Lincoln) and a new toy to show everyone. Maybe she'd give it a name, that was up to her really. "I'm sure that little rabbit was set aside for you, so take very good care of it." He replied giving the small object a small pat on the head while his sister peered at it's face. Maybe he'd take a spare later for if something happened to that one, or should he need something to calm down Yurie one day if something managed to burst her radiant little world for the day. Such as the boogieman.
Years as the personal bed monster remover had taught him a few important things. That stuffed animals to cling to were as good as gold, and a joking 'boo' at whatever was supposed to be under the bed was better than saying 'There's nothing here.' If you ever made that mistake it would be countered with 'It's hiding in the closet now!' or something like that. The point was, you'd be stuck there for twice as long. A good hug, a stuffed animal, and a show of scaring off the monster worked far better. Also, finishing with a satisfied smile made it seem like YOU believed you did a good job. Zeral didn't particularly like doing his job all of the time, but he did pride himself in knowing the right way to do it when it was needed. A job well done wouldn't need to be repeated again soon, because you chased the monster away very well! Exiting with the pretext of chasing it out of the building completely. Not believing someone when they were afraid only made them more terrified, thus until his sister realized there was no such thing he put up with his side duties.
Though the rabbit only served to keep her busy for a short time, moments later Yurie had caught his wrist to bring back the real subject of the moment. Their mission. Giving the crowd a brief look over he nodded in agreement before turning his attention to the stand with the smore making ingredients." You're right, so let's see..." He let his hand waver slightly toward the group as if trying to make a game of this as well. He wasn't always a grump, just most of the time. The main purpose was to dispell any fears of the night from the younger elf beside him though, if she was preoccupied with doing something, she might not even recall it was dark out. "To make a proper treat for a little princess you need..." He paused before picking up a some graham crackers for the group to use. It was enough for each of the four to make two of their own. Which was good to start, no one would want to need to carry it around for too long. It didn't appear that they'd be running out either, unless someone decided to overdose on sugar. "crackers, and..." Next came counting out the marshmellows for everyone. "marshmellows to roast, but most important..." Which was what his sister has exclaimed about only a few moments earlier. "the chocolate!" Which signaled that he start to gather some chocolate for the group to use.Minari Again, Chwen felt the need to raise an eyebrow. Was he really that obvious? Oh well, there were worse things than predictibility. He bowed again to Milly, not knowing how else to display his gratitude, Thank you very much for your kindness. You're right, I could do with the help. And the company. Wasn't I just thinking I needed a good conversation? Pity there weren't better circumstances. He waved Milly in the direction he thought the chocolates might be stored and said, After you, Miss. Xenostatica Milly chuckled at his bowing as she had never been bowed at before, "I am glad to help, I am always one for an adventure no matter how small." She follwed his direction and went ahead to where he was pointing, "So how old is your sister? I have an older brother myself." She felt if she was going to being knowing his sibling he could at the least know a little about hers', "And Milly would do fine, really."Minari He followed after her, eyes peeled for any sign of his kin, They're eleven and probably more mature than I give them credit for. Ha! Not likely. They were exactly as immature as he said they were, but that didn't mean he should broadcast it. And it wasn't like there was anything wrong with their immaturity, they were children, after all. Er, alright, Miss Milly. Again, thank you for helping me.Xenostatica Milly smiled, "Oh so they are as old as me!" She followed looking around the visible students from the fire lit area, she would watch for wings and such as those were the most likely to stand out. She smiled, "So the older vrother must take care of his younger sibling. That's a sweet thing to do, you could just leave her to her own devices but you watch out for her, that's nice." She had to tip toe a little as she started walking backwards toward the tables, trying to see over the fires, "Well we'll find them, I bet anything you are right and they are just pigging out at the food tables."Pi-sama Eden is looking for a place where to sit down to burn her masmallows, when she notices a figure in a rock, her curiosity takes her to discover who is. While she goes coming closer she finds to go recognizing the person of the rock, definitively it is the silhouette of a woman, but to the moment it gives her some clarity in the face and Eden recognizes her and with a great smile in her face comes closer to Cybille, you have not seen her for a long time. greeting with the hand and accelerating her step Eden says "Cybille, Cybille, How much time without seeing you, I am glad of seeing you so well" and without waiting permission she sits down to her side in the rock.
[ The Fool ] Peeling her eyes away from the branch, Cybille heard footsteps approaching and looked over to the direction of whomever it was. Perhaps it was a pack of children looking for the goodies. "Mm?" It took her quite some time to actually recognize a friend from before, and it was Eden in fact. She widened at the sudden change of appearance, clothes, and chuckled at how those locks of hair were styled differently, no longer flowing at the back loosely. How long had it been? Quite a while actually. "Hello Eden. It's good to see you again. And my have you grown to be a fine young lady." The nurse smiled gently and patted an empty spot next to her on the rock. It was nice to have company, and company one had not seen for a long time. "Have a seat. Have a seat.. How have things been for you?"Pi-sama Eden smiles to Cybille and looks attentively to her, she didn't have changed anything from last time that their saw each other,"thanks Cybille, you are as always ". Eden puts a finger in her cheek and she wonders the aks of Cybille a little before answering, "So, not to bad state, I have known several people, two children of the accident of the train. The boy cat that you helped me to be taken, Is Dean and he is here close"
[ The Fool ] She tilted her head to the side and gradually rose her eyebrows. "Oh? Well, it's wonderful to hear that they are both alright and here relaxing." Cybille took the chance to scan through the area once more to see whether she could spot the feline, vaguely remembering how he looks liked, black hair, black cat ears and a rather slim body. I don't.. really see him. Perhaps he is elsewhere with his other friends. Seeing how it was rude to pull her attention away from Eden, she focused back on the girl and placed her hands upon the rock behind her. "Anything interesting has happened for you recently? And how is your school work?"Werewolf Yurie nodded her head sincerely, and now that she had both arms around the rabbit, she crushed it against her and lowered her chin against the dome of it's head. Very much so was she considering a name for it- but, for the moment her mind could not grasp one. Although for a moment she did consider naming it Zeral, which had brought a devious little grin to the small girl's face. But the last thing she wanted was to press him further- and she was plenty excited that he'd be helping her. She was always a bit afraid of the fire burning her fingers. Daintily she followed Zeral to the stand set up for the smores makers. She had never seen so much graham cracker in one place, and the pile was in it's dwindling state. Tall flat cookies piled up on top of one another, and bags of fluffy marshmallows beside that. She couldnt see the chocolate let, but imagined that the marshmallows were more blocking the view for the time. Eagerly, she turned and leaned against the table, her face angled just so she could see Zeral's construction of the smores with silent glee. "Princesses do like smores," She responded affirmatively, bobbing her head. And although she did expect Zeral to do the process of making them, she did help collect the graham crackers. It was somewhat obstructed by the soft plush in the palm of her small hand, but she maneuvered it against her elbow just enough so that she could fit a few more marshmallows between her fingers. "Is this enough?" She questioned, and held her fingers out, quite stuffed full between herself and Zeral. It was odd to think such a small girl could eat so much- and honestly, she probably couldnt.
"Chocolate!" She squeaked, and totted beside him. "Hehe~ I think I'll name bunny Choco."Raja He'd figured she liked them, anything that involved topping off sugar with more of the stuff was bound to delight any young child. Unless they were like him, then you'd be better off offering an apple. Which did bring to mind the ones that had been kept from the easter event. He'd noted them briefly before taking the rabbit for his sister. It seemed he'd be better off dismissing them though, as they were covered in that overly sweet gunk. Then again, if he could find something to wipe it off with it might make a possible snack for the evening. He'd need to keep an eye out for something that would work.
He watched as Yurie grabbed her own set of ingredients to add to the number he'd collected which made it an even larger pile. "I do believe so, but are you sure you can see over that? Make sure you don't trip, Choco will get dirty if you do." He warned, balancing his own set of sugar coated items a little better before turning to move over toward the fire. He couldn't toast any marshmellows until the others got back, which meant choosing a spot near enough to the flames for cooking later. Somewhere with coals specifially.
He walked slowly to allow his sister to keep up without tripping over some unseen object, and upon finding a suitable location he stopped and glanced around for the newest essential item. Something to use as chairs, a knocked over log, or part of a tree trunk would do. He knew better than to hunt for a real chair, if there were any they would be taken by now. Once this task was completed Yurie could show off Choco to anyone if she wanted while he guarded the area and the ingredients. It wasn't like they could go any further with cooking until the canine came back with sticks. Not that he was in any hurry for Lincoln to return, he was fine with it quieter now. He didn't need to worry about talking to the others around the fire and no one was really bothering him at the moment. Yurie didn't count in on the bothering scale, she tended to be exempt from any need to worry.
"We need four tree stumps that we can move over here, do you see any, Yurie?"cherubim kitty "Unless it's a canine named Lincoln~" she bubbled and gave a sweet smile. The elf then nodded in response to the twins. "There are two more people waiting for us back at the s'mores place. So we have to get them sticks too~" The two elves had probably gotten to the fire area by now. They must be hungry. Veruvi could quite easily imagine Yurie eyeing the sweets and trying to resist her love for them just because she didn't have a stick to roast the marshmellows...The black-haired elf didn't want to disappoint her classmate at any cost.
"Let's go and look for more 'kay?"Kolina Tuyen smiled and nodded. "Let's get going then. We don't want to keep your friends waiting." A tiny rumble escaped her stomach and a blush spread across her delicate cheeks. Tuyet giggled. "And neither can you stomach, Sis." So with that said both girls latched onto their friends arms and led them trough the darkened woods in search of the elusive sticks. Once they had those they would be set to enjoy the treats that awaited them. Both girls had a sweet tooth that would never be appeased without the aid of a gooey delicious smore. "So, you say you're best at finding sticks." Tuyen said as she tugged on Lincoln's arm. "Where can we find some more?" She smiled at him before turning her attention to the ground as a snap sounded under her foot. She nearly cried at the sight of a perfectly good stick broken under her foot. "Tuyen! You have to watch where you're going." Tuyet scolded calmly as she caught sight of the broken stick. "Well it's hard to see in the dark. Besides, there has to be more than that one...right?" She looked at her friend with hope filled eyes.
Nikkio Lincoln politely withheld a laugh at the three girls' antics. Curse little girl's inherent cuteness. Fortunately, he had the power of being a (somewhat) little boy himself, which is of course being impervious to the powers of cute. "Well, yes, you're both quite right. On the latter, non-rhetorical inquiry I would suggest anywhere you see a fallen limb or more aged trees- you know, the type you generally try and avoid when you're in the woods alone without a light." He nodded to his left towards such a tree. He'd grabbed two already; with his practice, he could easily find more in five to ten minutes. However, it was always better to share the load- plus, the way children got so giddy over even such a tiny accomplishment was too adorable. And Lincoln wanted the girls to have a good time more than himself, after all. "We just need three more, remember!"
He couldn't help but add another word of caution. What can he say, he was getting into the patron role. "Be careful though! We wouldn't want anyone to get hurt on a snapped branch or stray tree root. We want the evening to be filled with toasted marshmallows and copious amounts of sugar, not bruises and scrapes." cherubim kitty "Be careful though! We wouldn't want anyone to get hurt on a snapped..." that was all the elf heard as she spotted a nice sized stick. Veruvi pointed at it as if she were saying that it was not a figment of her imagination. "I found -" her exclamation was abrubtly cut off as she tripped over a tree root.
OOMF.
For the second time that night she found herself on the forest floor. Luckily, as she had fallen, Veruvi had managed to twirl herself around so that this time her butt landed first. The dirt beneath her was soft, but she did not want to repeat the face plant from before. Once again, Illien's voice was ringing in her mind, fussing over her and telling her to be more careful.
The stick sat innocently next to her, she pouted at the stick, "Be nice~"Kolina Tuyet looked to Veruvi and attempted to catch the girl as she tumbled over the root but to no avail. She only managed to wince as Veruvi's bottom hit the ground. "You should be more careful." She stated as she reached down to help the other girl up. Tuyen looked at Veruvi and grinned when the other girl scolded the stick. "I am not quite sure that it can hear you." She grinned before turning her attention to the base of the tree which veruvi had tripped over. There sticking out from the leaf litter was a perfectly wonderful stick. Well...it was a bit long but that could be easily taken care of. Carefully she grabbed the brittle wood and bent it. A small crack escaped the dead wood as the excess was removed. "I found one." She smiled excitedly. Tuyet hopped over to her sister. "Great! Now we only need..." Using her fingers she counted down the sticks. "3 more?" Oh she wasn't sure, but she figured she was close if she wasn't right.
Nikkio "Whoa!" Lincoln was immediately next to Veruvi. "If I'd've known stick-finding was such an excitingly dangerous sport..." he joked, though again he looked over the girl for injury. "Maybe you should take five. I could put that stick in the penalty box for you, if you'd like." Lincoln couldn't help adding humor. Humor made the world go 'round... and people more amiable towards you as well. Hmm, now if only he could teach Zeral that... how was he doing, anyways?
"Nice thinking, Tuyet! You can always make smaller solutions out of bigger problems. Hmm. Three sticks?" Lincoln flopped onto the offending root who caused the latest foul. "Actually, with Tuyen's discovery, Veruvi's two bullies and the pair I nabbed on the way to see you I think we're just one short of the perfect set! Impressively fast job, madams. We'll be toastin' shmallows yet!"cherubim kitty "But just in case if it can~~~" She giggled as the dog turned the incident into a game. Veruvi shook her head, "It's okies~ If I let it go into the penalty box, it might take revenge on me and ruin all the s'mores." She scrunched her nose at the thought, "I heard burnt s'mores weren't so good..."
Veruvi kept her seat on the floor, just in case she had some other accidents. The elf smiled gleefully at the news that another was found, "One more to go!"Kolina Eyes danced with glee at Lincoln's stick count. "Really? We only have one more stick to go?" Tuyen exclaimed with glee. "Well then we better get looking for that last stick. The sooner we find it the sooner we can start roasting our marshmellows." Tuyet stated with a smile. "Now if only we knew where that last stick is hiding. It would make things so much easier." Tuyen said as she began searching once again for a dead piece of wood that would be of use to the group.Nikkio "What? Burnt marshmallows are bad?" Lincoln brushed out a stuck twig from within Veruvi's copious amount of hair, brandishing it saucily in his mouth as one would a candy cigarette. "Nonsense. NO marshmallow can be bad. And on the contrary, I have a good friend whom prefers his confection smoked, burnt and roasted." Lincoln looked up thoughtfully for a moment. "Then again, he might just like playing with fire...anyway now." "Shall the miss stay upon her throne or chance another search? A big perk of burnt ones you can eat quite a many more that way than taking time to golden-brown."
"Hmm, the last stick, last stick." Lincoln nibbled on the end of the fresh sprig before popping it out between a middle and index finger, as if to take a breath to think or add to his air of maturity and brotherly yet roguish mystique. "No clue! You're the new experts 'ere." He nodded at the twins, grinning bemusedly. "Yes, only one left! Toldja you ladies were doing an impressive job. Never seen quicker. Out of curiosity, how does everyone prefer their s'mores? Granted that you've all had them before."cherubim kitty Veruvi raised her hand eagerly, as if she was in a classroom waiting to be called, "I haven't had one before~" It was an embarassing statement at the moment but she didn't mind. After all, logic told her that she'd get her chance at having a s'more in a bit. She could wait. Patience was a virtue. It came pretty handy.
She picked up the stick that she had tripped for. It stared back at her as if it had satiated its desire to trip her further...or cause any other trouble. What a silly stick. The elf picked herself up and dusted off the straw leaves and twigs on her clothes. She'd take care of the ones in her hair later.
The girl put her hands on her hips, "come here you stick you~" she teased, and burst into giggles as she joined the others in looking for the final stick.Kolina Tuyet scrunched her nose. "Burnt marshmellows taste horrible. I like mine big, brown and gooey." She giggled at the thougt of a perfectly roasted marshmellow. "Yea! Chwen showed us how to make them." Tuyen remarked proudly at the thought of her brother. She looked sharply to Veruvi. "You've never had one?" She was a bit surprised before her expression melted into one of an eager giddy child. "I'll show you how to make them! They're so good! You'll love them." "But first we have to find one more stick." Tuyet said turning to Lincoln. "I wouldn't say we're experts. We've only found one stick when you've found two." She pointed out as she changed her searching further into the woods in hopes of finding a good stick in there. Maybe no one had ventured this far and they would find their last needed tool for roasting perfect marshmellows. "Yea." Tuyen agreed. "We better start searching. We just need one more then we can enjoy our s'mores." She grinned before turning and following her sister, eyes cast to the shadowed ground. Nikkio Two to one count? Can't argue with that. Lincoln scratched his chin. "Yyyeah, but I transcend the title of 'expert' when it comes to stickery. I am... "- dramatic pause- "All-mighty grand-master genius super-supreme. Thank you very much," he rolled his arm in front of him as he bowed low to appease an imaginary crowd. Bowing may be good comical humor, but doing it so often was beginning to hurt his back, man. Curse gentleman-type-gestures being so repetitive and limited in range for a twelve-year-old.
"Fine then! I'll find no more." He clapped his hands over his eyes. "You're all on your own. I won't search 'tall. 'Tall, I tell you! And it'll be a contest... whomever finds the last stick'll er..." Pause. Ponder. "Get a prize of their choice! Whatever they want. Just make sure it's a feasible goal," he added jokingly. "I can't make you a pony out of graham crackers or somethin'."cherubim kitty The black-haired elf smiled at Lincoln's self-given title. It was a little hard to remember and the name itself was just as amusing. Veruvi huddled with the dragon twins, "Yay! I have s'more making teachers!" Having people to help her make the yummy s'mores was a good thing. It'd ensure that her creation would taste just right. She wasn't the best cook. Now that she thought of it, there was a high chance that she'd accidentally drop her marshmellow into the fire while she was trying to brown it...considering how clumsy she was. Hopefully, that wouldn't happen.
Veruvi's eyes brightened at the dog's proposition, "A prize?" A pony would have been nice but ofcourse...she was a girl and what came before pretty ponies where the majestic unicorns. Maybe nicely shaped clouds, rainbows, pretty fluffy bunnies, fluffy stuffed animals~ ah. The list went on and on. At the moment, her perfect prize would be her first s'more, but she had an inkling that she'd prefer to make her first one to make it that more special.
"Okay! contest~~~" she smiled brightly. She wasn't very competitive but the idea sounded like fun. The elf just hoped that this time there wouldn't have to be any tripping involved with the stick finding. It seemed like the stick-finding had really become a sport...at least for the moment.Ferra Obert wasn't a big fan of candy, although he could enjoy a dessert now and then, but felt like trying to stay on a lighter note with the man, especially since he could use the help. "Ah yes, more chocolate than you can shake stick at," he replied lamely with feigned enthusiasm. It came out worse than he hoped, but he quickly ignored it.
Speaking of sticks, he observed from the hill exactly how many children there were. Aside from the unlucky early arrivers who were caught and coaxed into collecting wood, there were now many children either frolicking or collecting their own sticks (a few were even engaged in stick-fights). Obert displayed a slight grimace. He was also not a big fan of children. He turned his attention back to November.
"Well I suppose we should make a s'more or two since we have the chance," Obert suggested, unable to come up with a more interesting activity. It was clear he was very much ignorant of Cybille's presence, as she would present greater interest than crafting burnt sticky marshmallows between chocolate goo on graham crackers.Kotatsu-chan Dean wandered around the bonfires, tossing the stick he had picked up casually. The group he had attatched himself to seemed to have dispersed, so he was free to look around. Walking into the forest to see if anything was going on there, he hummed to himself, content. After all, he was warm, being fed, and had met some decent people which, though they were all girls and made him feel slightly outnumbered, were friendly and pleasant enough to suit him. Kashin At first, the doctor's words flew right past him. November's attention was focused on the children attacking each other with sticks. For the time they seemed ok, but if their stick-fights grew to be more of a concern. He mentally nodded to himself, keeping in mind to pay a close eye on the kids with stick-swords. "I suppose we could." He gave a half-smile, directly reflecting the lack of attention he now paid to Obert. Making s'mores was hardly a concern of his at the moment, but he absent-mindedly fiddled with a stick that seemed well-suited for marshmallow roasting.
