[ Open RP for all. ]
The river flowed gentler here. Bright ambers watched the little minnows swimming against the light current, facinated with their movement. So very tiny! A paw raised and was held steady above the surface of the water, casting a rather menacing shadow.
Three.. two.. one!
Said paw splashed down abruptly upon the little fishies, causing them to scatter wildly. Raphael flopped into the ankle deep water, hopping this way and that, attempting to pounce on his prey. Probably a silly sight for any spectator to see!

Lirit smirked sheepishly as he watched the younger Gryph prance about. While his motives weren't entirely clear, Lirit had a faint idea as to what the creature was trying to do. He himself had attempted a very similar feat when he was younger. Contrasingly, Lirit hadn't actually ever caught a minnow... But that was quite alright. As long as nobody saw him making a spectacle of himself, he didn't care. This oppurtunity, though, to mock, tease, (or perhaps if Lirit was in a good mood, help) the little Gryphon was just too much to resist.
Creeping up from behind the little thing, Lirit made his appearence. His flexed his newly grown wings against his back and raised his head superiorly, gazing down at the splashing Gryph.
"Having fun there?" he drawled- his voice monotone, not kind, though not cruel either.

Raphael hadn't expected anyone to be there, so when Lirit's voice sounded from behind him, it was quite a shock! He twisted around so fast that he ended up tripping over his own paws and ended up falling onto his side. Of course, he wouldn't lay there for long, it could have been some kind of enemy! He jolted up to his feet, bowed his head, and gave a rather menacing snarl for a little infant.
Of course, Lirit would probably find this all too comical: a muddy baby trying to scare him off! Not a sound was made, Raphael used his body to prove he was no push-over.

Lirit grinned. There was something unsettling about him. What kind of a guy his age chose to pick on a defenseless infant? Lirit was a bully. Well... He wasn't actually going to hurt the poor thing. But he'd sure as hell try and psych the infant out. But honestly- what kind of a decent creature even psyched out a poor infant? Lirit was a... progressing bully. Not quite there, but he was on his way.
With a cruel smirk, Lirit returned Raphael's defensive growl with a low, rumbling snarl of his own. His lips curled up lightly, and the gryphon flared out his impressive wings offensively, taking a single step foward. As a younger child, Lirit had been tall, awkward, and lanky. He'd undergone a growth spurt, however, which had let his bone and muscle grow into his previously skeletal-like frame.
Snorting lightly, Lirit 'put his wings away' and reclined into a comfortable sitting position, a safe distance still away from Raphael. "I asked you a question," he drawled coolly, glaring absent mindedly at the infant. "Having fun? What exactly were you trying to do?"

Raphael stood his ground, that is, until Lirit started snarling at him. Yellow eyes widened in slight fright and he backed up a step or two, moving deeper into the water. Fret not, it's still only about knee deep to him! Collecting his nerves once again, Raphael narrows his gaze at the teen, shaking his head in a little snort. No response verbal response to the question asked. Maybe he was too young to be talking yet?

What was this little kids deal? Lirit snorted tastelessly, raising an eyebrow curiously at the silent gryph.
"There's no reason to keep your mouth shut," Lirit began, his voice mildly taunting as he spoke. "Trust me, if I get tired of hearing you I'll tell you to shut up." Reassuring words of wisdom from the wanna be bully. Honestly, though. What kind of a tough guy picks on gryphons a quarter of their size? He needed the practice, though. When he was younger, he hadn't really done a good job of coming off intimidating. It was a lot easier when you were working on a younger target then yourself, it seemed.
Staring plainly at the gryphon, who still hadn't responded, Lirit trotted towards the stream, lowering his head to quickly glance at his reflection. Pulling his head away very suddenly, Lirit spoke again. His voice was not harsh- but it was far from kind. "So what's your name, kid?"
