Ever wonder...
What happened to the Staff of Magius after the Chaos War?
Palin used it, and still had it at the end of Summer Flame, but no longer carries it during the War of Souls...
I wonder when and where it will Resurface....

Never thought about it... I suppose.. that...Did he have it in Souls? OR... don't they draw magic from artifacts in the new magic thingy? I hope he didn't... PALIN, NO!

He didn't have it in the war of souls.
And I know it didn't end up in the hands of Beryl...I'm thinking it's either sealed in the tower of Wayreth again or its at the Inn of the Last home in "Raistlin's Room".

Raistlin of Krynn He didn't have it in the war of souls. You could be right, I don't know where else it would be. Maybe with Dalamar?

Couldn't be...As much respect as they share for each other, Palin has never fully trusted Dalamar. Also Dalamar moved the tower of Palanthas to Nightlund early on in the Age of Mortals, and I do believe that it is one thing Palin would have tried to reclaim if Dalamar had it.

Perhaps Raistlin did away with it... or is keeping it in a "treasure chamber" with a bunch of magical and ancient books and other artifacts... (Like as you mentioned, the tower) *shrugs*

Dal, He cant take back something he never gave away. even Weis and Hickman haven't put it's current location in print, but I have a feeling it's at the Inn of the Last Home, in "Raistlin's Room"

I really hate to kill the thread so early on...but Raistlin still has the staff. he takes it with him at the end of Dragons of Summer Flame Dragons of summer flame pg580 "There is something the matter with it," Palin said, fear growing in him, fear of things guessed at, suspected, but unknown. "Give it to me," Raistlin said softly. Palin handed over the staff with sudden reluctance. Raistlin took it, gazed at it admiringly. His thin hand stroked the wood, caressed it. " Shirak" he wispered. The light of the staff glowed, but then the glow began to dim, darken. The light flickered and died. Palin gazed in dismay at the staff, then looked up at the single moon. His heart constricted in fear. and dragons of summer flame pg 581 Raistlin smiled. "Good-bye," he said again. Leaning on the staff, he and Fizban turned and walked across the field, where lay the dead. this should answer the question beyond doubt. Once again. sorry for killing the thread
