Better behaviour, turning in of assignments (grades), and active participation will increase your chances of winning.
One for the HoH.
The award given to the head of house is based on organization of the house, participation, and responsibility of actions.
The more organized the house is, the more you come in and post that isn't SPAM, and the more you act as a responsible professor, the higher your chances of winning.
One for the House
The award give to the House is based on the number of house points that house has.
Simply, the more you earn your house points, the higher chances your House will win the House cup.Quote: Teachers - Edit this post. Add your name and the student's name. Add the number of points awarded/deducted Add a reason why it was awarded/deducted.

Here's what I'm thinking...
Teachers can only take away points ONCE A DAY (Giving points, we pretty much got down). We don't want someone to go on a power-craze. It happens.
List the names of the students under question and pick the worst out of the bunch. That's what I'm thinking.
We should also think about how much points to give/take away...I mean, seriously. We can't just give or take random numbers from houses.

I have an idea (off-topic)
I think we should make one thread for the hourglassesl like this
Gryffindor
Slytherin
Hufflepuff
Ravenclaw
Then if a teacher would like to deduct/add points:
Gryffindor -10 (for misbehaviour by ____) - Shinwa* +20 (for outstanding courage by ___) - Shinwa*
Slytherin -10 (for broken rule by ____) +20 (for a nice spell in charms class by ___)
Hufflepuff +50 (for outstanding achievment by ____)
Ravenclaw +25 (for a perfect test by ___) +25 (for a perfect essay by ___)
*teachers who made the deduction/addition put their names next to the thingy
In this way, it is visible in one thread to see all the scores.
Then at the end of the year, the HOH's will just add/subtract the scores up
It would be better than teachers posting in one thread, then one person hastling to add them up like last time 3nodding

We could also have a tally board for the students where we could post the current points. This will give the students and teachers more initiative to do well if their house is losing.

its a really good idea, but what about the houses that dont having anyone in them, or class's that dont have people in it. Then does it mean that they cant win it because they dont have anything to do? Im just wandering, because Ravenclaw has nobody there, and theres not really reason for the HoH or HoH helper to post.

Eventually we will all get at least a few students to compete. And everybody- It is the house cup which is why there isn't for all teachers. However we could make up new awards. Besides it is 50 years since Harry Potter. Shinwa great idea and patience to type it all down. We should make the thread and have the teachers (when they have added or taken points) just immediately come in and edit the post holding the house points. Then only teachers, since they are crew, can add points and we are sure of it. Even if they are students that are crew we can check (or I think we can) the crew activity thread to see who added the points by editing the post to see if something goes hazardly. Also in the post there should be an inclusion of what thread the points were given so at the end of the year everyone can check.

I don't really understand that part ^^;
But I like your last idea about linking to the thread where the house points where deducted/given
That way no crew member could just add and subtract points, they would need proof!

:O
There's no way to check who edited a post.. it doesn't say in the crew log.
So urm.. is my idea ok?
Can I set that up?
